KARA reveals “I’ll Write You A Letter” MV

Earlier today, KARA released the audio track for their featured remake of Lena Park’s “I’ll Write You A Letter” off producer Kim Hyung Suk’s “2011 Kim Hyung Suk With Friends Part. 1″ album.

On January 13th, the music video for the track was released. Although the members of KARA are not featured in the music video, the music video features the artwork of a sand artist by the name of Ji Soo. The sand art tells the story of a princess who writes a letter to her love asking him to save her from her tower. It’s a rather unique interpretation of the song, and it captures the sweet spirit of the song into a music video format.

Although eliminated in JYP audition, Goo Hara, IU, CL get a big succes: "Is Park Jin Young hurt?"


JYP audition for JYP entertainment gained attention because they have eliminated talented stars.

Recognized as a booster of ‘mainstream’ singer, IU also has experienced to be eliminated from JYP audition. IU’s audition video in the most recent JYP Entertainment audition in 2008 has become a hot topic.

Unfortunately, IU who sang a Bubble Sister’s song ‘So Much Love, So Much Laughter’ was eliminated.
At the moment, IU did recording together with Park Jin Young for the OST of KBS 2TV drama ‘Dream High’. IU said, “It’s the first time to be involved in an OST recording. I have seen the company president at audition and do recording together is a blessed for me.”

Goo Hara, member of girl group Kara that is very popular in Japan, also has participated in JYP audition. At 2008 JYP Entertainment audition, in fact Goo Hara was gaining interest. Although has an impressive performance in final audition, Goo Hara was eliminated. Although failed in JYP Entertainment Audition, Goo Hara won best female MC awards at KBS Enterntainment Awards last year. Kara’s Japanese debut song ‘Mister’ was selected by local broadcasting program as hit song and received a lot of love.

Lee Ki Kwang ‘Beast’ originally is a trainee in JYP. Recently, Park Jin Young appeared on KBS 2TV ‘Win Win’, MC Lee Ki Kwang explained the reason why he did not debuted with JYP, “I have recognized my talent”

Instead of debuted with JYP, he debuted as a member of ‘Beast’ from Cube Entertainment that was founded 3 years ago by Hong Seung Song, the former president of JYP Entertainment. Beast, idol with excellent vocal and splendid performance, successfully sold out the tickets for their first concert. Beast also has received a lot of love from fans.

CL ‘2NE1’, from YG Entertainment, also was a trainee in JYP. CL still maintains her close relationship with JYP singers and also supports them. 2NE1 first album has 3 title songs, they are Can’t Nobody, Go Away, and Clap Your Hands has dominated the music chart last year. 2NE1 received Top Ten Award in Melon Awards, along with Album of The Year, and Best Girl Group Award.

KARA, Jung Woo Sung, and Lee Seung Gi receive Hallyu Honorary Awards

Jung Woo Sung, Lee Seung Gi, KARA, and other artists recently received the Hallyu Honorary Award.

The Ministry of Culture held the ‘2011 Content One Mind New Year Greeting‘ on January 13th at the Seoul Imperial Palace Hotel, where artists received various awards.

The winner for the movie portion of the Hallyu Honorary Award was Jung Woo Sung, while the drama portion went to Lee Seung Gi, and KARA won the award for the music section.

The award had previously gone to actor Song Seung Heon and SNSD the year before.

T-ara’s Hyomin has lots of people to call

During the episode of Mnet’s “T-ara Dream Girls” that aired on January 12th, member Hyominrevealed the number of contacts she has saved onto her phone.

In this episode, Hyomin and Jiyeon had the subject of “Do you think looks are important?” to cover, and in order to gather opinions the two idols took out their cell phones. However, while on their phones Hyomin revealed, “I have 941 phone numbers saved onto my cellphone. KARA, B2ST and fellow idol singers as well as Hwang Jung Min sunbae, Song Eunee sunbae.

Goo Hara turns 20 with a ‘cozy birthday party’

KARA’s Goo Hara recently celebrated her 20th birthday (21 in Korea) at her agency headquarters back in Korea.

Hara had a small birthday party with her fellow groupmates, and a representative stated, “We plan on having a meaningful day despite her having to spend her birthday in a ‘cozy’ way with her group members.”

The girls have been busy travelling back and forth between Korea and Japan to appear on shows, fulfill endorsement deals, and continue filming for their Japanese drama, “URAKARA“.

Kim HyunA will be releasing her second solo single this May!


Yes, you've read it right! 4Minute's Kim HyunA who sang one of the greatest KPOP hit songs of 2010, popularly known as CHANGE, will be releasing another solo single this May.

HyunA is just one of the several female idols who had just turned 20 this year 2011. With that, people are expecting her to undergo some changes like showing more of their "never-seen" personalities and a sense of dynamism in other aspects.

In answer to people's curiosity, CUBE's CEO, Hong Seungsong, revealed some of HyunA's planned activities for the first half of the year. Besides the first announcement of 4Minute's release of their first full Korean album between February and March, Kim HyunA will also be using her time for her comeback as a solo singer/performer by May.

He stated, "Hyuna will have her second solo song which is expected to be released in May. Though this time, fans should expect a radical change in her concept."

Fans are anticipating this solo comeback from HyunA, most probably because of her success in CHANGE, where she got very famous for her "pelvic dance." However, people are also getting curious to this "radical change" that she'll be showing up to her fans.

Meanwhile, it really seemed like CUBE has a good line of activities for their artists for 2011. 4Minute's co-CUBE artists such as G.Na and BEAST will be also having their respective sets of activities such as album-releases and concerts. 4Minute will finally release a FULL-ALBUM!


Cube's CEO, Hong Seungsong, has just made an announcement that 4Minute will finally be releasing a Korean full-album!

In an interview held today, from Money-Today StarNews, Mr. Hong stated, "Hyuna and the other 4Minute members will have their first full album late sometime between February to March".

This will be 4Minute's first Full-Album release in Korea since their debut and fans are having huge expectations for the music they'll soon offer to the public. Let us all look forward to their comeback and show our greatest support towards them.

Through Mnet "Dream Girls", T-ara are currently working with the senator Na KyeongWon. This day Hyomin and Jiyeon had to call their acquaintances to do a public survey. The theme was "Is appearance considered important?"

KARA releases “I’ll write you a letter” for Kim Hyung Suk’s “With Friends Part.1″

Popular producer Kim Hyung Suk, most famous for his work on the ‘My Sassy Girl’ OST / soundtrack recently recruited some talented artists for his “2011 Kim Hyung Suk With Friends Part. 1″ album. The biggest name he recruited for this collaboration album is none other than girl group, KARA.

For this album, KARA sang a track titled ‘편지할께요 / I’ll Write You a Letter,’ which is a remake of the song originally sung by the talented Lena Park. Check out the track below and remember to support the artists by purchasing the music.

nvincible Youth’s PD: warning ignorance about plagiarism is suffocating

KBS 2TV Invincible Youth’s PD, Kim Ho Sang, could not hide his surprise regarding ‘Invincible Youth’ plagiarism in China.

At 11th January, Invincible Youth’s producer, Kim Ho Sang, cleared to Newsen by phone, “Although the warning has been given regarding the program trailer, there’s no reaction. After broadcasting, we went to the production crew to confirm about that.”

He confessed, “Honestly, it’s suffocating when nobody gives a reaction towards the warning.”

Earlier, Kim Ho Sang PD tweeted “The first broadcast came up in China’s Shandong TV. Please notice that ‘Invincible Youth vs Birth of An Idol’ is really identical. Birth of An Idol broadcast content can be confirmed through the website link that was provided.

Actually, the published images of ‘Invincible Youth’, the concept, most of the laughter are similar. Along with Kim PD, KBS sent a letter to point out the violation of intellectual property. However, so far, Shandong TV gives no reply.

As Kim Ho Sang PD stressed, “It’s desirable to create solution through a formal step, only if the other side is willing to do a negotiation, such as about selling copyright in various forms. However, if the situation continues like this, we will not stay like this. “
