T-ara’s Hyomin reveals that she used to sleepwalk as a child

T-ara’s Hyomin recently guested on SBS’s ‘Dalgona‘ with her uncle and revealed that she had suffered from somnambulism (sleepwalking) as a child.

Her uncle revealed, “Hyomin had poor health when she was little so she would dream often. Sometimes, she wouldn’t be able to differentiate between reality and her dreams.”

He continued, “One time, she was so afraid of the goblins chasing her in her dream that she called 119 for emergency help in reality.”

Fellow member Eunjung also testified to Hyomin’s somnambulism by revealing, “Lately, Hyomin falls asleep while watching another group’s stage. Even while sleeping, she somehow follows along with that group’s dance.”

Goo Hara endorses ‘Puzzle Bubble Online’

KARA’s Goo Hara was recently selected by NEOWIZ GAMES to promote their latest online game, ‘Puzzle Bubble Online‘.

On August 23rd, NEOWIZ GAMES released an online game called ‘Puzzle Bubble Online’. But don’t let the cute name fool you, it’s an intensely competitive game!

The original game, which was developed by Japanese gaming company Taito, became quite popular with both boys and girls. However, that balance may shift towards a larger male playing pool now that Goo Hara is promoting the game.

T-ara’s Jiyeon and IU reveal their college plans

T-ara’s Jiyeon and IU have made different decisions regarding their college education.

The ‘93-ers are known to be best friends in the entertainment industry, and they’ve recently had to evaluate which direction they were going to take with regards to their education. Many other high school seniors their age will be entering college in 2012, and Jiyeon has decided that she will be doing the same.

On August 24th, T-ara’s company representative revealed, “Jiyeon will apply as a rolling admissions candidate for several different colleges very soon. Jiyeon will apply where she will be able to utilize her talents and expertise best.”

Jiyeon is currently promoting “Roly-Poly” with her fellow T-ara members, and will soon be focusing on their Japanese promotions in September.

On the other hand, IU has decided to stick with her decision in refraining from college applications this year. IU’s company representative stated, “As we announced before, IU will not apply for college admissions this year. We don’t know what will happen after this year, but IU wants to focus more on music at this point in time.”

IU is currently busy preparing for her upcoming album, which is scheduled for release in October.

Mnet to hold an idol dance battle special on this week’s ‘M! Countdown’

For the August 25th broadcast of Mnet’s ‘M! Countdown‘, the show will be airing an idol dance battle special!

Idol groups INFINITE, TEEN TOP, Block B, Dal Shabet, Nine Muses, and the Brave Girls will all be battling it out in various genres like hip hop and breakdancing.

The judge will be none other than former Seo Taiji member Lee Juno, whose vote will make up 60% of the decision. The remaining 40% will be brought in through SMS text votes.

Producers commented, “In an effort to spotlight both dancing — an quality that has become a representative of K-Pop all over the world — as well as these rookie idol groups, this dance battle will be an opportunity for viewers to get a glimpse into the future of K-Pop.”

f(x)’s Amber reveals her close friendship with miss A’s Jia and Min

f(x)’s Amber recently revealed that she’s good friends with miss A’s Min and Jia.

On August 23rd, Min attached the above photo and tweeted, “In hk w Amber((:”

Taken in Hong Kong, the two girls are seen with their faces close together while making comical expressions.

Meanwhile, Jia also shared a photo with Amber through her Weibo and wrote, “Don’t be scared of your panda eyes (dark eyes circles) MAN! You’re beautiful! Hahaha!”

B2ST and 4minute depart for United Cube concert in Japan

4minute's Jihyun and Hong Jin Taek (4minute manager)

Idol groups B2ST and 4minute were recently spotted at Gimpo airport, as they headed for the United Cube concert in Japan. The show will be held at the Budokan in Tokyo on August 25th.

The artists from Cube Entertainment will also be the first Korean singers to perform in London’s Wimbledon Arena on November 9th.

United Cube Concerts are different from other idol shows, because they are held more like festivals than large-scale concerts. Concertgoers can expect to see performances from 4minute, B2ST, G.NAand other members of the Cube Entertainment family.

Doojoon and G.NA will leave on a later flight due to other schedules.
