Amber returns to f(x) through ‘Paradise Ranch’ OST

Amber of f(x) has officially made her comeback through the OST (soundtrack) ‘Can I Like You’ for the new SBS Monday & Tuesday drama ‘Paradise Ranch’ which was released earlier today.

‘Can I Like You’ is a song of one who has hid their true feelings for a crush. The loving lyrics and a refreshing melody mix well together as the ensemble between strings and brass make f(x)’s sweet voices stand out even more.

Last June, Amber was nowhere to be seen after injuring her ankle as she left for America. For a long while, she was swept in rumors of having left the group but was spotted in SHINee’s first concert, ‘The First Concert SHINee World,’ dismissing all rumors of withdrawals. However, it has been confirmed that Amber did not attend SM Town’s Japan concert.

KARA’s Gyuri returns to Shim Shim Ta Pa

Park Gyuri, the leader of girl group KARA has returned to MBC’s ‘Shindong and Park Gyuri’s Shim Shim Ta Pa’ program and passed her apologies along to her parents.

Park Gyuri on ‘Shim Shim Ta Pa’ in the early morning of the 27th said to her parents, “I’m sorry that I’ve been giving you such worries lately.” Seemingly a passing reference to her thoughts about the recent KARA controversies, her statement has gathered attention from the public.

For the 25th and 26th, Park Gyuri stopped her DJ activities in ‘Shim Shim Ta Pa’ due to the KARA controversy, and was substituted by group Secret’s Song Ji Eun and Zinger. She disappointed fans who wanted her view on the controversy on the day that the KARA situation occurred on the 19th by not appearing on ‘Shim Shim Ta Pa’.

Additionally, KARA members Han Seungyeon, Nicole, and Kang Jiyoung have announced the canceling of their contract against DSP Media. However, the members have revealed that they would like the whole group to once again carry out activities as five, and it has been known that they have made a compromise to keep filming the TV dramaURAKARA’, which is currently popular in Japan.

How much is the set of ‘Dream High’?

KBS Drama ‘Dream High,’ which is currently 1st in it’s time slot, has caught the attention of many when it was recently revealed that the set of the drama costs nearly $800,000 USD.

Normally, a set of a drama costs around $200,000 – $300,000 USD, showing an extremely big gap for Dream High. The set of ‘Dream High,’ which is located in Kyungkido Goyangsi Ilsan, didn’t remodel the Girin High School that was already there but instead built a brand new two-story building. Including interior designing, and the construction cost the set was to have cost nearly $800,000 USD.

Meanwhile, the set of ‘Dream High’ will be open for fans to visit once the drama ends.

f(x) reveals a new picture featuring all five members!

f(x) fans have long awaited this day – a new photo was revealed on January 26th, in which all five members of f(x) can finally be seen together!

The picture shows members Victoria, Luna, Krystal, Sulli, and Amber standing in a line in what looks like their rehearsal room. This is the first official glimpse fans have received of the completed group in almost seven months due to Amber taking a leave of absence to treat her ankle injury.

Excited fans commented, “Finally, they are complete,” “Even if I can’t see their faces, I can already feel their presence,” and “I’m so excited through just this one picture!”

Additional details revealed on KARA’s ‘TBC’ promotions in Japan

Despite the controversy surrounding their team, KARA’s popularity in Japan is still riding strong.

allkpop had previously reported about how the girls were selected to be the new models for the Japanese aesthetics company, “TBC.” Japanese fans will be able to see the girls on various advertisements such as television, transportation ads, and magazines starting February 1st.

In their TV advertisement, the girls will be using the pronunciation of their own name, which means ‘because’ in Japanese, to deliver phrases such as “Because everyone can become pretty” and“Because everyone can become cool.”

Their Japanese advertisement company commented, “KARA’s healthy and shining image and outstanding promotions were what led us to choose the girls as our model. Due to issues surrounding KARA’s future, they’ve been receiving widespread attention in Japan, and we felt that this was the appropriate timing to start this campaign.”

They continued, “Not only Korea, but Japan is very worried about KARA’s future as well. We have decided to add another segment to their campaign in support of the group.

“Dream High” to end at 16th episode

The 16th episode of KBS 2TV’s “Dream High” will mark the completion of the series, and there are no plans for any special extensions.

A representative of KBS spoke with Star News on January 27th and revealed, “‘Dream High” was originally scheduled to complete its series on February 22nd, but because of the Asian Cup on January 25th, the ending has been pushed back to February 28th.”

The drama is currently enjoying viewer ratings in the upper 15%, and has been ranking first in its time slot. KBS suffered lackluster viewer ratings prior to “Dream High”, which lead many to believe that they’d go ahead and push to extend the series in response to its success. Yet representatives revealed that the cast members’ individual schedules left no choice but to end the show at the 16th episode.

Representatives further stated, “KBS and the production company discussed the issue, and decided that an extension would be out of the question. Instead, we have decided to release a special broadcast on March 1st. The special will feature a concert-style broadcast, something a bit different from the other specials.”

KARA’s Goo Hara is searching for a new house!

It was revealed that on January 22nd and 23rd, KARA’s Goo Hara had gone to Kangnam Nonhyun-dong to look for a new house.

On the 26th, a real estate agent expressed, ‘Goo Hara came with one associate on the 22nd to look for a house. She called to ask questions before her visit, and I heard that she also visited other real estate agents in the area.

It seems the sudden decision to find a new home is because she moved out of her dorm in Haengdang-dong in early January and has no where else to stay immediately.

CNN airs the Taiwanese version of "Bo Peep Bo Peep", controversies arise


The U.S News channel CNN reported on the popular Taiwanese singer Lotus Wang (42)'s new song 'Bobee', but has been controversial amongst Korean fans.

CNN and MTV introduced Lotus Wang by mentioning how she has sold more than 100 million records and started a worldwide craze over YouTube with her latest song 'Bobee'. They also gave her high praises, comparing her to Beyonce.

However, after it aired, it appeared on various online bulletin boards and received many complaints from Korean fans on how 'Bobee' wasn't the original, and how they did not even mention T-ara's name.

In fact, Lotus Wang's 'Bobee' was a remake of T-ara's Bo Peep Bo Peep' and was reproduced with the permission of agency officials and the composer.

Netizens said, "They aired a parody instead", "It's a remake, right? It's not plagiarism?", "T-ara's music videos have much more hits on YouTube. They do not even know what they are reporting," and were very bitter.

Despite contract conflict with DSP, KARA endorses for Japanese commercial Body


According to CRI online, Korean Female group KARA endorses for a new japanese commercial so to ease the stress for the reduction of events in Korea.

According to <>, this Commerical has been filmed before KARA's conflict with DSP. Due to this current dispute,it has causes some disruption in the release of this CF. This Commercial is going to be made into huge Outdoor advertising board and they will be placed at 7 main cities of Japan. TBC have specially printed "KARA Fighting/Gambatte!" on the board so to support our girls.

EunJung and Taecyeon, Splendid Performance in Dream High


In KBS 2TV drama , JinGook (Taecyeon) and BaekHee (EunJung) performed a showcase. In the drama, JinGook and HyeMi (Suzy) have talented dancing strength and BaekHee wants to get rid of their shadow. Taecyeon and Eunjung's performance got high attention for the audience. Both their rhythmic dancing and sexy outfits built up a fancy stage. Taecyeon's beautiful and skillful rap as well as Eunjung's sexy dancing and singing had already made this scene a highlight of Dream High.
