Jiyeon visits home for the first time in four years

T-ara‘s Jiyeon revealed that she had recently visited home for the first time in over four years.

“I finally got my wish,” she posted to her Twitter account on the 12th. “In one house with my parents…it’s been four years. I’m going to ask my mother to make ddukbokki today.”

Due to her crippling schedule, it had been difficult for Jiyeon to spend some time with her parents, with her father even visiting one of her fan-signing events just to see her in person.

Her followers cheered her up, saying “Congratulations,” and “Have a pleasant time with your parents”.

Eunjung reveals her obsession with organization

On the June 12th broadcast of KBS 2TV‘s ‘Star Life Theater‘, T-ara‘s Eunjung showed fans her sparkling clean room.

While giving a tour of her room, Eunjung admitted to her obsession with organization and even showed viewers how she has neatly organized her makeup and accessories by order of height.

The idol shared, “I think to myself about where I should place my items for 20 minutes at a time. I don’t know why I do this. I will try re-arranging multiple times by ordering them by color or by putting them in different positions.”

Viewers commented, “It takes twenty minutes to arrange your stuff?”, “I don’t organize my stuff at all”,and “It’s so clean.”

Eunjung expresses her gratitude towards her mom on ‘Star Life Theater’

T-ara‘s Eunjung expressed her gratitude towards her mother.

On the July 12th broadcast of KBS 2TV ‘Star Life Theater‘, Eunjung returned back home after her music video shooting and spent quality time with her mother.

Eunjung’s mother, Lee Eun Joo, said, “I looked after Eunjung while living in Seoul together since she was in 6th grade.” She added, “Eunjung’s dad is back in the country side.”

While reminiscing on the past, she revealed, “I gave up my job and put in everything I had to helping Eunjung. Eunjung would do her homework and memorize her script while I would drive her around.”

She also surprised the audience when she revealed, “I even found sponsors for Eunjung.”

Eunjung explained, “My mom would go to accessory shops and clothing stores around the neighborhood and get me sponsored items.”

“My mother was very strict. She told me not to throw out my job if I wasn’t going to aim to become the best,” added Eunjung. “My mother was a well respected piano teacher but gave up her work to look after me.”

Eunjung expressed her appreciation for her mother when she concluded, “I don’t think I’ll ever be able to repay her for everything she’s done for me.”

Luna confesses she would like to collaborate with TEEN TOP’s L.Joe

f(x) member Luna drew attention after admitting she had an eye for TEEN TOP member L.Joe.

Member Luna of girl group f(x) who recently released their hit song “Electric Shock” made a guest-appearance on the July 11th broadcast of MBC Everyone‘s ‘Weekly Idol‘.

MCs Jung Hyung Don and Defconn asked Luna if there was a male artist she would like to perform a duet with. When Luna selected SHINee‘s Onew, they asked her to pick someone outside of SM Entertainment.

Luna then grabbed the attention of the MCs when she responded she would like to collaborate withTEEN TOP rapper L.Joe. “Most people would have selected vocalists Niel or Chunji, but the fact that you selected L.Joe means you have a 100% crush on him,” the MCs hilariously tried to argue.

“I’ve seen TEEN TOP’s stage before, and Niel has a lot of camera time,” Luna said. “I’ve seen him dance and sing a lot. But on the other hand, L.Joe stays in the back and only appears during the key moments.”

The MCs then asked Luna to send L.Joe a video message, but Luna refused saying, “If I do that kind of thing, it becomes so awkward when I see him in person.”

Luna then began singing a song from her musical ‘Legally Blonde‘, and when she sang ”Will he ask me, ‘will you marry me’?”, the MCs continued to tease her saying, “With L.Joe?”, causing her to become dumbstruck.

T-ara's ticket sales for their first solo concert in Korea becomes an instant Sold Out concert

The competition for T-ara's fans to secure a ticket T-ara's upcoming concert is becoming a hot and intense. On the 11th of August, T-ara is bound to have their first solo concert in Korea. They will be performing their hits such as "Day by Day", "Lovey Dovey", "Rolypoly", "Bo Beep" and many others.

Their concert stage will have a total of 6,500 seats and the 4,900 tickets have already been sold from the preliminary selling. With only 1,600 sets left, the competition to secure a ticket is tight. Their official fan club "QUEENS" will have a priority and be able to reserve and have 10% discount and the ticket sales will be on the 17th of July.  T-ara is hoping that they can accommodate as much fans as they can and with the trend of the ticket sales, its no doubt their first solo concert will be a Sold Out concert.

f(x) to conclude "Electric Shock" promotions this week to prepare for debut in Japan

Girl Group f(x) just made their comeback with their new album and title song "Electric Shock" and they had a good run with their album winning first place in various music shows and claiming number 1 spots on various music charts but it's sad to say that f(x) will be concluding their Korean promotions for their album.

Their agency SM Entertainment revealed that they will be having their goodbye stages this week starting from Mnet's M! Countdown on the 12th of July up to SBS' Inkigayo's on the 15th of July. Although there is not exact date of their debut in Japan, SM Entertainment revealed that f(x) will be preparing for their debut and focus on their oversea's promotions for the 2nd half of the year.

Hyomin is eager to exercise in the summer heat

T-ara's Hyomin is eager to exercise despite the humid weather this summer season. On the 12th of July, she updated her twitter account and shared, "Exercising this summer" and shared a couple of photo's of her with a large exercise ball.

On the photo's you can see her stretching out and sitting down on the large exercise ball. She shows off her slim figure in her tank top and leggings. Hyomin also looks stunning with her long hair, only a few ladies can look that beautiful while working out. Netizens commented, "She's so beautiful even if she's working out", "Her figure is already good, she does not need to exercise", "it must be hard being an idol".

Boram's dad predicted that Roly Poly will be a big hit and it happened!

T-ARA already started their Japan tour with their Nagoya Concert on June 19th. Their first Japanese album ‘Jewelry Box’ rose to the #2 spot on the Oricon Chart the day it was released, and is still gaining much interest. They are currently busy with their Japanese promotions and preparation of their comeback in Korea.

“From all the activities we've done so far, I think we are the busiest right now,” said all seven T-ARA members in one voice. Lately, the girls have been preparing to meet with their fans even though they are exhausted. Despite this, they say they are happy and are enjoying every single day. bntnews was able to interview these girls who know how to be thankful instead of complaining.

T-ARA's eldest sister ‘Boram’ is small, but she was able to radiate a lot of energy and power during the interview.

“Your recent concert in Thailand was a success, and your first Japanese album release also received a lot of attention and love! Did you expect this?” “No, I did not expect this at all. But I am really thankful for all the attention we've been receiving. We added a song especially for our Japanese fans in this album, and added a lot of blingbling, heart and soul on the album jacket to match the concept of ‘Jewelry Box’. We had a lot of fun and made many memories with our fans during our Thailand concert. We're really thankful. We will work harder so that we will receive much more love all over the world,” she innocently responded about the gratitude she feels towards the fans' love.

I was able to discover the talents I've inherited~

Even before she debuted, everyone knew Boram was singer ‘Youngrok Jun’'s eldest daughter. Having a national singer as her father, since when did she dream of becoming a singer? “I grew up listening to music and watching my father perform, so I'm familiar with this career. But because I'm so passive, I've lived hiding my talents. Even though I wanted to, I couldn't say ‘I want to be a singer’ because I was worried about how people will look at me. But luckily I met a good agency and the members, and my dream was realized. I have been very blessed.”

Although she and her father do not have deep talks about music, her father does give her honest critiques about T-ARA's music. “He really gives his honest opinions, and I do agree with what he says because what's good is good, and what's bad is bad. My dad said he liked ‘Roly Poly’ as soon as he heard it, and we really received a lot of love from the public for that song."

Boram's younger sister ‘Wooram Jun’ is preparing for her singing debut as a member of ‘D-UNIT’. As an older sister and sunbae in the entertainment world, what kind of advice is she giving her? “I don't really have any advice I give to her specifically. I usually advise and remind her not to be affected by negative posts online. It's one of the things you go through as you grow; and she may go through bigger and worse things in the future, so I tell her to be patient and to endure it as the best she can,”she replied. And as she talked about her younger sister, her playful self disappeared and her sincere, older sister self was shown.

The new members' ability to adjust? "If you see T-ARA's sociability, you would not be worried~"

How does T-ARA's eldest sister Boram feel about the new incoming members? “I look forward to it. I'm happy yet worried at the same time. At times I think ‘will they be able to adjust?,’ but when I see the members' cheerful selves, all of my worries disappear. I don't think they'll have any trouble adjusting. More than that, when I see our little ones ‘Jiyeon’ and ‘Hwayoung’ doting on the new members, I smile unknowingly. Should I call it an ‘auntie's heart’?”

While being on the set and interview, Boram was bright and cheerful wherever she went. But surprisingly, she said she liked spending time alone. “I like having my own time to think deeply on things. I even go shopping alone most of the time.”

I'm envious of Girls' Generation's ‘Jessica’'s feminine beauty~

T-ARA is quickly emerging as fashion-idols. Who does Boram think is a fashion-idol?“I think Girls' Generation's ‘Jessica’ is! I really love her style, it's a feminine style. A fluttering skirt with flats looks so pretty. I only get to wear such feminine clothing when I'm on set. I can't choose and wear feminine clothing on my own. I don't think it suits me. If you see the clothes I normally wear, you'll understand. I usually wear a huge box t-shirt with sneakers. What's funny is that when I wear a t-shirt, it becomes a box t-shirt and my pants go missing.”

The energy that emerges from her tiny body cheers up the people around her. What type of person is her ideal, making her endorphins react? “I think first impressions are really important. And I really like someone who has a pretty smile. No matter how good looking a person is, if his smile isn't bright and cheerful then I think it's a turn-off. There are those that have a kind smile. That's the type of person I like.”

As we came to an end with the interview, I asked one last question. “What kind of singer do you want to be?”

“I want to be like my father, someone who will be remembered by everyone. That person's this song. Someone who hears ‘that song was really nice/good.’” she said as she imagined her future self, a sincere response in the midst of a momentary silence. In that, we were able to anticipate T-ARA and Boram's determination to press on towards victory.

Eunjung wants to act with Bridal Mask's 'Joowon'!

Many idols have been taking the challenge of being an actress/actor. Started doing supporting roles to leading role in dramas, and sometimes, their first role is the leading role. Idols are being called as "Actress-idol", "fashion-idol" and many more. T-ara is one of the idols representing those nicknames.

I can never be separated from acting and music~

T-ara's Eunjung is one of the "actress-idols". Before debuting as a singer, Eunjung was known as a child actress. But what  do actress and singer mean to her?  

“I started as an actress, but I was able to take on better roles and in better circumstances because I am a member of T-ARA. Acting and music can never be separated from me. First of all, as an actress, I am not T-ARA member Eunjung but I'm me as an individual. I need to cope with things alone, so I must be more alert. It can be hard trying to work with many staff members, but in the end it feels great because we work and create one project together. It's also fun living in a different world than the real one. On the other hand, when I stand on the stage as T-ARA, it feels as if something (bothersome) in my heart disappears – I feel refreshed. Especially when I stand on the stage with my members, I feel as if I became an outlaw. I really enjoy performing with my members.”

Which actor does she want to act with? “Lately, while watching Joowon on ‘Bridal Mask’, I keep thinking how I want to act with him. His image in ‘1Night 2Days’ and in acting is clearly different. He seems to be deeply absorbed into his character, so I really want to work with him one day. I think I can learn a lot from him.”

'Eunjung was hesitaing before she mentioned Bridal Mask's ‘Joowon’. It was because of her We Got Married husband, Lee Jangwoo who is currently cast on a drama called I Do I Do which the airing time is the same as Bridal Mask. “I am watching my (We Got Married) husband through his drama as well! I clearly see all of his romantic skinships as well. Truthfully, I thought the skinships would be bolder, but it's actually not that intense,” she replied with a hint of jealousy.

Eunjung has worked with ‘Jangwoo Lee’, ‘Soohyun Kim’, ‘Taecyeon’, ‘Wooyoung’, and so on, who are so-called ‘popular male stars’. Who is her ideal? “I like a person who works diligently. I especially like a person who is sentimental and understanding. Oh! And I like a person who is sensible. In sensible, I mean he must be meticulous and detail-oriented in his lifestyle.”

“I want to emcee for a radio program with my voice~”

I asked Eunjung which new area/field she wanted to take on next. Her voice also seemed to match well as a radio DJ. “I really want to be a radio DJ! I think my life will become more abundant if I DJ. I can meet the vast world through many people's diverse stories. And since music can be a part of the program, it's like everything I like is combined into one.”

Eunjung's eyes sparkled as she talked about her greed/desire to become a radio DJ. I was curious what type of music she would air if she were to emcee her own radio show. What type of genre does Eunjung like, and what does she normally listen to? “Do you know ‘Yoonha Ju’ by any chance? He sings with a gentle tone as if he's telling a story, and this is exactly the type of music and tone I like.”

As a person who loves to listen to music quietly by herself, I asked Eunjung what her dreams were as a singer. “I want to hear people say ‘I love how there's a singer with this type of voice’, ‘I need Eunjung's song right now’. To sum it all up, I want to become an ‘essential singer’. In order to reach that point, I must practice harder and do my very best.”

Just like her cute self you see in TV shows, Eunjung walked around the set with a smile constantly on her face. But as soon as the shutter sound went off, she overpowered the set as she changed her gaze to match the concept, like a true professional. There is much attention towards Eunjung, an actress-idol who possesses the quality of a professional. 

Eunjung admits she was initially against the addition of new members

T-ara‘s Eunjung admitted she was initially against the idea of recruiting new members to the team.

On the July 12th broadcast of KBS 2TV‘s ‘Star Life Theater‘, Eunjung remarked, “Honestly at first I said, ‘Why? Are we not good enough?’.”

“If we weren’t good enough, I figured we could just practice some more,” she continued. “I was worried that one or two more members would disrupt our rhythm and create an unsettled atmosphere.”

She explained, “But those sorts of thoughts vanished a couple of days after I met them. I realized that they would actually be of help to the group.”

Eunjung also confessed she was really into the new drama series, ‘Bridal Mask‘.

“I don’t know what’s wrong with me,” she said with a laugh. “I’m like an ajumma. Even though I’m tired, I feel good when I watch dramas.”
