Photos of idols departing for ’26th Golden Disk Awards’

The scene at Gimpo International Airport was rife with screams from K-Pop fans, all trying to catch a glimpse of their favorite idols as they made their way to their respective flights.

The idols were on their way to Osaka, Japan, which is where the ‘26th Golden Disk Awards‘ will be held this year. The awards show will be divided into two parts: the first part will be held on January 11th for the ‘Physical Album’ winners, while the second part will honor winners of the ‘Digital Album’ categories on the 12th.

T-ara to take a 10 day holiday after "Lovey Dovey promotions!

T-ara have been promoting nonstop since last summer, and after finishing their "Lovey-Dovey" promotions, the girls will take a leave on vacation.

T-ara's agency Core Contents Media said to Star News on the 10th, "We have plans for T-ara to finish promoting their new album in February. At the end of the 'Lovey-Dovey' promotions, all the members will receive about ten days of vacation."

T-ara made a comeback last August with "Roly-Poly" and then came back with "Cry Cry" in November. At the end of December, they released a ballad with Davichi called "We Were In Love". All of these were well loved by fans and placed #1 on the charts.

T-ara is currently promoting "Lovey-Dovey" and is again at the top of the charts. For the past six months, it has been T-ara at the top of the charts, showing their strong potential.

In addition, T-ara released their debut Japanese single "Bo Peep Bo Peep" in September last year with reached #1 on Oricon Weekly Singles Chart and attracted a Japanese fanbase. They followed up with their second Japanese single "yayaya" shortly after that.

T-ara's agency revealed that because of the effort and constant enthusiasm of the members, the girls are excited to finally get a long period of rest after "Lovey-Dovey" activities.

“K-Pop Power & Beauty” concert postponed to April 2012

allkpop just received a call from the concert organizers, informing us that the “K-Pop Power & Beauty” concert in San Francisco that was supposed to be held this Friday on January 13th, 2012 at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium has been postponed to April 2012.

T-ara, Davichi, and Yangpa are all still currently scheduled to appear at the concert in April. Even with the postponement, fans won’t want to miss this rare opportunity of seeing these ladies State-side, so keep checking back with allkpop for further updates on the concert details.

T-ara’s back-up dancers hold “Lovey Dovey” flash mob in Santa Clara

To help promote the upcoming K-Pop Power & Beauty concert in San Francisco, some members fromT-ara‘s back-up dance team held a small flash mob in Santa Clara, California!

The local dance crew definitely drew additional interest into the diva concert, which will be held this Friday the 13th (January 13th) at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium. The ‘K-Pop Power & Beauty’ concert will see performances from T-ara, Davichi, and ballad singer Yangpa.

T-ara reveals making of "Lovey Dovey" Zombie Version

Prior to the release of the much awaited "Lovey Dovey" Zombie version, T-ara takes fans behind the scenes of the film set.

The "Lovey Dovey" Zombie version, which will be released later today, will feature the appearance of actress Im Soo Hyan. Inspired by Michael Jackson's "Thriller", the new MV will show the girls dancing in a club before a zombie comes and infects the members.

KBS to hold New Year Special 'Crown Princess Project'

Several female idols will be taking up the challenge to 'become the Crown Princess'.

In line with the new year festivities, KBS has planned a special episode of 'Crown Princess Project - Restoring the Royal Family'.

The show will take the form of a comical historical drama. During the Joseon dynasty, when picking the Crown Princess, the marriage prohibition act was put on hold and young women from respectable families were invited to go forward and participate in various tests to select the Crown Princess eventually. This is the storyline that the entertainment programme borrowed ideas from and it will be an idol version of the recent popular MBC mini-series, "The Sun and the Moon".

The idols participating in this show are all prominent faces. The cast including IU, T-ara Boram Soyeon, Miss A Min, 4minute Sohyun and others, altogether 12 female idols have been invited. On Jan 10th, they are filming for the show at the Buan Video Theme Park. The production crew aims to capture their vibrant appearances at the outdoor filming site outside of the stuffy studio. 

Dressed in the hanbok, the female idols laugh in anticipation for what is to come, but of the 12, only 1 will emerge as the final Crown Princess. The production crew expressed, "It will be a boisterous broadcast to heighten the excitement on the national holiday."

The identity of the Crown Prince remains a mystery. The crew said, "Even the cast themselves don't know who it is, but we'll find out during the broadcast." The show will be broadcast on Jan 23rd at 7:20 PM.

T-ara's Lovey Dovey is the first chart topper for 2012!

T-ara ranks first in the first week of 2012 on online charts. T-ara's new song "lovey dovey" was ranked first in online chart Soribada for the weekly chart from January 1 to January 7. Their new song featured an electronic sound which gave off a strong, fun and addictive melody.

Also, T-ara's duet with Davichi, "We were in love" ranked 2nd in the charts, and their song "cry cry" which was released last year ranked 10th on the charts. Meanwhile, Cube's first unit group Hyuna and HyunSung's "Trouble Maker" ranked high on the charts as well ranking third.

T-ara has been receiving a lot of good response with their newly released song and has been chopping various online charts. As 2012 begins, T-ara makes a very good start and hopefully their success will continue through out the year.
