f(x)’s Luna talks about stage fright at ‘Coyote Ugly’ rehearsal

On June 30th, the site of the ‘Coyote Ugly‘ musical rehearsal was revealed at the KECPO Art Centerin Seoul.

The stars of the show, including f(x)’s Luna, Gavy NJ’s Jang Hee Young, December, Park Jun Gyu, Yoo Ha, and Kim Soo Yong, performed several highlight scenes from the musical.

On this day, Luna shared her thoughts on taking the stage, saying, “This is my second work. I didn’t know anything when I was doing my first musical and had many hardships, but this time it’s different. Since the content of ‘Coyote Ugly’ is completely different from my first musical, I gain confidence.”

With regards to her character’s stage fright, Luna said, ”I used to have stage fright as well. After being with f(x) for so long, a lot of my fears have subsided.“ She continued, ”Though I can’t say that I am the same as the character in the show, I have members that I complete activities with and I have many good seniors around me. I think the character in the musical is similar to me in these ways.”

The ‘Coyote Ugly’ musical tells the story about a singer-songwriter named April and her journey as she fulfills her dream through fantastic music and strong dances.

This is the first musical adaptation of the popular film of the same name, “Coyote Ugly”. Unlike the movie, the musical shows the image of the Coyote Bar 10 years later.

“Coyote Ugly” will be playing at the KECPO Art Center from July 8th to August 15th.

Mnet’s “M! Countdown” is back with another episode of great performances and musical treats.

Besides the usual stages on the show today, T-ara, Mighty Mouth, Navi, Min Kyung Hoon, andHwayobi all made their respective comebacks.

It was a battle between SECRET, f(x), and 2PM for the #1 spot on “M! Countdown” today, and in the end it was f(x) who got the win for “Hot Summer“!

T-ara makes a “Roly Poly” comeback on M! Countdown

Having been away since the start of the year, the T-ara girls are back on the stage of Mnet M! Countdown with their latest infectious title track, “Roly-Poly“.

The girls’ newest concept is refined 1970s club-hoppers, and they are targeting music fans both young and old with this retro concept and hope to make it a national song.

Their title track, “Roly Poly“, which was was co-produced by Shinsadong Tiger and Choi Kyu Sang, was purposely kept simple in both melody and choreography to create an addictive effect.

The track’s mellow beat and subtle electronic touch are enough to transport any listener to the times of flashing disco balls and Saturday Night Fever.

Core Contents Media explained, “‘Roly Poly’ features an addictive but easy to follow melody that will catch the attention of listeners of all ages.”

4minute Hyunah and MBLAQ Lee Joon date on an airplane?

As first hand accounts of 4minute Hyunah's (20) and MBLAQ Lee Joon's (23) affectionate appearances on an airplane were reported, a lot of attention was received.

On June 22nd at Okinawa, Hyunah and Lee Joon boarded an Asiana airplane heading to Incheon Airport side by side.

The two people sat together in the first row all the way at the front of the business-class section. For the 2 hours and 10 minutes they were on the airplane, they looked lke they were a couple.

Entertainment reporters who observed the two people said, "Hyunah and Lee Joon were wearing casual outfits and they took care of each other as if they were a couple in college. Maybe it was because business-class did not have many passengers, but Hyunah and Lee Joon sat comfortably without wearing any sunglasses or hats."

It was confirmed that Hyunah and Lee Joon were returning from Okinawa with the staff for Hyunah's solo album music video; however, people who were observing at the time did not know this and they thought the two were returning from a trip together.

Up to this point, Hyunah and Lee Joon always openly said that the other person was his or her ideal type. At the end of this month, Hyunah confidently called Lee Joon as her ideal on SBS FM Choi Hwajung's Power Time. Even when she appeared on SBS Quiz Club recently, she answered "MBLAQ's Lee Joon" when asked who she had in her mind by gagwoman Kim Sook.

And as expected, Lee Joon reciprocated. On last July's KBS2 Star Golden Bell, he was asked what he thought when Hyunah picked him as her ideal type and he replied, "Hyunah is definitely the best out of girl groups."

Furthermore, Lee Joon and Hyunah were matched as a couple for a dance. While MBLAQ and 4minute prepared for their joint performance on 2010's SBS Gayo Daejun, they even had a wedding photoshoot. Lee Joon and Hyunah were complimented and told that they looked like a real couple.

As wedding pictures in which they kissed each other's cheeks were revealed, fans even supported them and said, "It'd be great if they were actually dating." And in January, Lee Joon and Hyunah were MCs together for SBS's variety program "Remote Control."

CUBE Entertainment said, "The music video concept is a boyfriend and girlfriend's date. Hyunah and Lee Joon acting affectionate toward each other on board the plane was actually just a setup for the music video. Still photographs were taken at this time. These photographs were taken so they could be inserted as a panorama at the end of the music video, but it was decided that they would be removed since they did not actually fit into the whole context of the video. Please do not misunderstand (*Hyunah and Lee Joon's relationship---or lack of one)."
