Queen's in Japan were in for some disappointing news upon the sudden announcement that T-ara's official Japanese fan club will close down in April 2014. However, the agency has revealed that they will reopen it at a later date, reassuring worried fans.
An announcement made on T-ara's official Japanese fan club 'Sweet Treasure's homepage read, "The contract for T-ara's fan club's operations will expire and and this current fan club will be dissolved in April 2014. Membership registration and renewal will close on the 31st. The fan club and its site will close in April next year."
"Although the final version of the bulletin is set to be released in April of next year, according to the membership terms, there will be no refund of the membership fee so I hope you understand... We will be held responsible for your personal information up until May of next year when it will be discarded. Your personal information data will not be disclosed to a third party. Thank you for supporting T-ara for the past three years. We apologize for the sudden announcement to the members."
Regarding the concerns this has brought about among fans, Core Contents Media told Sports Seoul on the 4th, "During that time, we signed with our current agency J-Rock and managed T-ara's Japanese activities through them. But we have decided not to renew our contract with them this time which will expire on this coming April. Thus, the fan club and homepage that J-Rock operated will also be closed."
"We plan to manage it through Core Contents Media's CCM Japan. Although the fan club will not be automatically switched over, we plan to start one again... T-ara's Japanese activities will definitely not come to a close. Once they complete their activities in China, they will start again in Japan next year."
Meanwhile, T-ara will focus on their domestic activities for the time being as they kick off their comeback stages on 'M! Countdown' on the 5th.
