SHINee and f(x)’s Krystal and Sulli to have YouTube drama ‘Sweet Recipe’ for Etude House

 
 
Following news that f(x)‘s Krystal and Sulli will be joining SHINee as the 2013 endorsement models for cosmetic brand ‘Etude House‘, it has been revealed that the brand will be releasing a YouTube drama entitled ‘Sweet Recipe‘ featuring the idol stars.
 
‘Etude House’ staff member shared through Twitter, “Audition YouTube drama ‘Sweet Recipe’ will premiere on YouTube on January 23rd.. Spring, a sweet recipe challenge for a sweet transformation! Spoiler lead actors’ roles? This coming Spring, girls’ menboong again?!” along with the snapshot above.
 
The photo shows SHINee and f(x)’s Krystal and Sulli dressed as chefs and ready to cook up something sweet for fans.

Park Yoochun's China Visit Is Met With An Explosive Responese By The Chinese Media

Park Yoochun’s Media Day in China was attended by over 100 reporters.

Park Yoochun held a Media day at a hotel in Beijing, China. The event was held by C-JeS Entertainment in response to the popularity Park Yoochun is experiencing in China for his roles in ‘Rooftop Prince’ and ‘I Miss You’.


A representative of C-JeS Entertainment stated, “With Park Yoochun’s popularity increasing in China, he has been receiving a flood of requests for interviews in China. Though he has already held interviews with entertainment news outlets through his fanmeet tour, we made the decision to hold an official media event with famous media companies in China’s capital Beijing in response to Park Yoochun’s popularity. This was something we’ve never tried before in China and we received a positive response.”

The media event was attended by CCTV, broadcasting channels and entertainment news programs, news channels, famous publications and online news outlets including sina.com.

Park Yoochun held a press conference with reporters, interviews with news outlets and group interviews with major entertainment broadcasting channels.

A media representative stated, “Park Yoochun’s classy interview left a good impression of Park Yoochun on the many reporters who attended the event. His sincere affection and sophisticated humor, as well as his well-mannered personality, made the event an opportunity to increase Actor Park Yoochun’s likability. The official media event, which was directed at TV viewers all across China and differentiated from concerts or other events, can be seen as something new that’s being tried.”

Park Yoochun received the full attention of the Chinese media when he commented, “I really want to try acting in a large-scale movie in China, and I’m looking favorably on possible Chinese projects in the future. I’d like to take part in one if I ever get the opportunity.”

The response from Beijing fans was explosive as well. Park Yoochun arrived in China on the 10th and was greeted by more than 1,000 fans who had been waiting for him at the airport. The route from the airport to the hotel where the press conference was held, to the hotel itself, was crowded by hundreds of fans.

Park Yoochun made his debut as an actor through the drama ‘SungKyunKwan Scandal’, and as appeared in ‘Miss Ripley’, ‘Rooftop Prince’ and ‘I Miss You’, making a grand slam at the awards ceremonies of the three major broadcasting companies by winning both the Rookie of the Year award and the Excellence award as well. ‘Rooftop Prince’ became extremely popular in China, and has become the most downloaded drama on one of China’s major drama websites. The drama also had the highest viewer ratings of all Korean dramas aired since 2011 on Taiwan’s GTV.

‘I Miss You’, which is currently airing in Korea, has collected over 45 million views for its first ten episodes in a month since it was uploaded on the Chinese portal site sohu.com’s internet broadcasting service sohu TV.

MBC's ' I Miss You' Is The Drama With The Hinghest Program Engagement Index


MBC’s ‘I Miss You’ has received the highest marks in the drama category of the ‘Program Engagement Index (PEI)’ charts, which measures the viewers’ level of engagement with TV programs.

On the 11th, the Korea Broadcast Advertising Corporation (KOBACO) stated that the PEI of ‘I Miss You’ in December was 132.1, making it the most engaged of broadcast dramas from KBS 2TV, MBC and SBS.

Though ‘I Miss You’ had the highest PEI in the drama category, it ranked fourth in the overall rankings.

The program with the highest PEI was MBC’s variety show ‘Infinite Challenge’ (147.8). ‘Infinite Challenge – Special’ (139.5) came in second and it was found that ‘Infinite Challenge’ has been topping the PEI rankings for its fifth consecutive month.

PEI is an indicator of how much viewers engage in broadcast programs. Any statistic over 100 indicates above average engagement, and any statistic under 100 indicates below average engagement.

KOBACO calculates its PEI index by holding an online survey with 13,791 people from the ages of 13 to 59 the day after the program in question airs.

SBS’ ‘We Want To Know’ came in at third place with an index of 136.7 while KBS 2TV’s pilot program ‘Music’s Participation’ came in at fifth with an index of 131.7.

KBS 2TV’s ‘Gag Concert Rerun’ and the MBC drama ‘Ma-ui’ (130.5), SBS’ ‘SBS Special’ (129.6), SBS’ drama ‘Cheongdam-dong Alice’ (128.7) and MBC’s ‘Our Sunday Night – I Am A Singer 2′ (128.2) ranked sixth to tenth on the charts.

2PM kicks off Arena tour in Japan



2PM opened the fancy door of 2013 Arena tour ‘LEGEND OF 2PM’, starting in Fukuoka on January 11th and 12th.

Coming on the stage of the eagerly-anticipated first Arena concert, 2PM presented their unique dignified appearance at the Marine Messe concert hall in Fukuoka, impressing 20,000 fans for 2 days.

Opening the concert with performances of their Japanese tracks “Beautiful” and “Masquerade“, the members of 2PM followed up with solo stages showcasing individuality and their high-quality senses.

At the concert, 2PM also disclosed the tracks of ‘LEGEND OF 2PM’, the 2nd full-length album in Japan that will be released in February 13th, reaching the climax of the fan’s expectation about the new album.

Furthermore, the five members of 2PM had prepared a surprise birthday party for Jun.K. Thus, Jun.K had a blissful, memorable birthday with 10,000 fanlights that filled up Marine Messe and the fan’s lovely birthday song.
