Super Junior sells over 200,000 copies of ‘Sexy, Free & Single’

Super Junior has become the first artist to surpass the 200,000 mark for albums sold this year with their 6th album, ‘Sexy, Free & Single‘.

According to Hanteo‘s album rankings on the 5th, Super Junior’s 6th album has sold over 200,000 albums and is the only album to do so, so far this year. With their impressive total album sales, the group has risen above other fellow K-Pop idol groups to reach the #1 spot on this chart.

At the rate that Super Junior’s latest album is selling, it is predicted that the group will earn the “half-a-million” title given to their previous album, ‘Mr. Simple‘, by selling over 500,000 albums. What has ELF even more impressed is that this 200,000 album sales mark was reached prior to the release of their repackaged 6th album ‘SPY‘.

In other news, Super Junior will start promoting “SPY” on ‘M!Countdown‘ on the 9th.

KARA to hold showcase for comeback album release

To warm up before launching their music activities this year, KARA will be holding a special showcase to commemorate the release of their upcoming comeback fifth mini album.

According to DSP Media on August 6th, KARA will hold a comeback showcase at the Sheraton Grande Walkerhill Hotel’s Gayageum Hall in Seoul on August 22nd. The group will put on the first live performances of their new songs from the upcoming album and a real-time coverage of the event will be available on YouTube as well.

Earlier, KARA unveiled mysterious image teaser on the girls’ official homepage. In the photo, the girls’ comeback date of August 22nd was written on the glowing cube with a question mark. However, DSP has not given any explanation on what the teaser infers about the next album.

KARA’s agency DSP Media unveiled mysterious image teaser for their upcoming fifth mini-album on the girls’ official homepage. In the photo, The girls’ comeback date of August 22nd was written on the glowing cube with a question mark. However, DSP has not given any explanation on what the teaser infers about the next album.

After finishing their activities for their 3rd studio album ‘STEP’ last year, KARA has been busy performing overseas as well as individual activities. The group is preparing to come back to their home stage once again, aiming to show their matured charms.
