[News] Nominees for 2010 Mnet Asian Music Awards revealed

There has been much controversy over Mnet’s decision to hold their annual awards ceremony, “2010 Mnet Asian Music Awards“, overseas in Macau on Sunday, November 28th, as it angered the two TV broadcasters, MBC and SBS. However, Mnet is no stranger to such situations, and they have now revealed the nominees in the various categories for the extravaganza.

Despite supposedly “bad blood” between Mnet and SM Entertainment, SM Entertainment artists like Super Junior, SNSD, SHINee were nominated in the various categories released by Mnet on their official website. Mnet had said earlier in a press conference today that they had sent invitations to all entertainment companies, including SME and were awaiting a response from them.

Mnet plans to air the ceremony live through Hong Kong TVB, Singapore Mediacorp, Philippines GMA, Cambodian CTN in real time, in addition to its main Mnet channel. It will also air the show via satellite in North America, Oceania, and Europe and more will be revealed in due time.

[News] Krystal was nearly scouted… in Japan?

News about f(x)’s member Krystal nearly getting scouted in Japan has been gaining hot interest. On this week’s episode of f(x)’s solo variety show, ‘f(x)’s Koala’, the girls took a trip to Japan.

As one of the challenges, the members had to walk around separately for a mission to ‘find Korean text’in the streets of Japan. It was during this time when Krystal bumped into a Japanese scout manager.

He was about to give Krystal his business card, but soon after Krystal said, “I’m Korean”, the scout immediately took off. Having not expected the situation, Krystal was so surprised and said, “I nearly got a business card..”, “To become a trainee…”.

However, Krystal gave a slight smirk and added, “But this isn’t actually the first time.” Meanwhile, this episode is set to air this coming October 30th.

[News] Hyomin, "I got the worst score for the stewardess test"

It seems T-ara's Hyomin is not cut out for being a stewardess.

On the first episode of T-ara's new reality show titled 'T-ara Dreamgirls' that aired on the 27th, T-ara tried out to be stewardesses. Through this new reality show, T-ara will try out different careers, showing experiences of a real woman, rather than their celebrity lives.


On the first episode, T-ara had to pass an interview, to be qualified. Various test such as how to deal with passengers who want you to sing a song, how to respond to foreigners and such. The hard interview left T-ara nervous.

Hyomin showed her usual self, she provides a good mood and wants to give good service. But she got the worst score!

[News] 4minute’s HyunA and G.NA to collaborate on a song

It was recently announced that 4minute’s HyunA and fellow Cube member G.NA, will be joining forces to sing a duet track for a compilation album, which will be released this coming November.

Earlier in the day, there were rumors that HyunA and G.NA were collaborating for a duet project album, however Cube Entertainment later clarified with Money Today Newspaper, that the two singers are merely recording just one track together, but added, “HyunA and G.NA are participating in the recording of a compilation album, featuring many other artists. We haven’t even planned any broadcasting schedules for the song.”

Cube Ent. went on to state, “We believe the rapper and singer will be able to complement each others’ strengths and weaknesses and show a great synergetic effect. They just recently finished recording the song with producer Choi Jung Myung, the founding member of COOL.”

[News] “T-ara Dream Girls” airs its first episode

Last week, it was revealed that the girls of T-ara would be getting together for a new reality TV show atMnet, called “T-ara Dream Girls.” The show was revealed to be about the members experiencing their dream careers, which we learned through a teaser of the show.

Today, on October 27th, the show finally aired its first episode.

The episode revealed the members of T-ara trying to speak English for what looks to be a job interview. One of the funny parts include Jiyeon replying that her age is 13 years old.

On October 25, the episode of Monday-Tuesday KBS2 drama “SungKyunKwan Scandal” showed scenes of Micky Yoochun and lead actress Park Min Young kissing. [News] 4Minute's FIRST/DREAMS COME TRUE single on Oricon daily chart during first day of release

Right after its release, FIRST/DREAMS COME TRUE single album appeared as #18 on the Oricon daily chart.



Although it is not exactly as good as we wish to see, it is still a relatively good start. Let's hope 4Minute will get more attention in Japan during their hectic promotions in the last few months of year 2010.

Additionally, the 4Minute girls have appeared to be able to speak better Japanese now.
