On the 11th the afternoon weather was very good and I was excited. In Japan it was the first time since my birth that I felt an earthquake.
I really can't express how I felt in words. We hurriedly put on the news on TV and saw a scene that I have never even seen in a movie.
I couldn't say a word. Even for a day, I couldn't sleep because of fear.
I still can't imagine it now, the fear and unease that those people have experienced.
I really hope that the moment where you can all be calm will come quicker, even by just a minute, even by just a second.

Lee Minho, Park Min Young, Goo Hara and more come together for City Hunter

SBS’s upcoming drama City Hunter has put together an all-star cast of Lee Minho (Boys Over Flowers), Park Min Young (SungKyunKwan Scandal), KARA‘s Goo Hara, Lee Hyo Jung (Giant), Kim Sang Joong (Life Is Beautiful), Chun Ho Jin (Paradise Ranch, Midas) and Lee Gwangsoo (Running Man).

City Hunter is based on the Japanese manga of the same name with minor changes made for the Korean adaptation.

The manga follows the adventures of a private investigator and his business affairs manager who is a tomboyish girl. Their underground operation deals with all sorts of cases.

The cast came together for their first script read-through for three hours with the leads staying longer for additional rehearsals.

The first episode will will air on March 25th.

IU admits to being struck by the beauty of T-ara’s Jiyeon

IU recently acknowledged the outstanding beauty of her friend, T-ara’s Jiyeon.

f(x)’s Luna, IU, and Jiyeon all appeared on MBC’s “Come to Play” on March 14th, and they revealed a story about how the three got to be friends.

IU revealed, “I’ve known Jiyeon since even before she debuted“, and commented about being struck by Jiyeon’s beauty when she saw a picture of her. She looked at Jiyeon and said, “You looked really pretty“. To this, Jiyeon faux angrily asked her if she wasn’t pretty now, making the whole cast laugh.

However, it was revealed that Jiyeon and IU were not good friends from the beginning, as IU explained, “Jiyeon looks very city-like, so I didn’t get close to her even after we debuted“. She continued on to say that they got to know each other by appearing on the same variety program.

Meanwhile, Luna revealed that she got close to Jiyeon because they go to the same school and even sat next to each other in their classroom. On the other hand, she got to know IU by giving her a letter when she was promoting ‘Marshmallow‘.

“Come to Play” has also been receiving lots of criticism due to its ‘unfair editing’.

Netizens have commented on how most of the broadcast focused on IU. They complained on the official homepage of “Come to Play” with comments such as, “I feel like I’ve been fooled. I was curious about all the stories from the 93ers, so I was very disappointed”, “I wouldn’t have felt bad if they titled it ‘IU Special’, but I feel like I was lied to”, “Although popularity is important, the editing was just too unfair”, “I felt like the only guest was IU”, and “I don’t know why they brought other guests“.

SBS’s “Heroes” to come to an end this month

It seems IU’s hints have come true - representatives of SBS’s “Heroes” confirmed on March 16th that the show would indeed be coming to an end.

The producers of the show spoke with SPN and revealed, “‘After completing the scheduled recordings, ‘Heroes’ will be coming to an end within the month. The final recordings will be held on March 28th and 29th.”

The program first began in July of 2010, and was introduced as a unique variety program which focuses entirely on the female perspective; it boasted a cast of 12 celebrities, including Narsha, Yoo In Na, Kahi, IU, Jiyeon and many others.

Unfortunately, the drama’s low viewer ratings were reported to have been the cause for the show’s conclusion.

Still, some fans remain hopeful that the show’s cancellation will remain just a rumor. When the reporters contacted SBS’s variety team, they stated, “We are in discussion for ending ‘Heroes,’ but there’s nothing absolute yet.”

Cast of “City Hunter” attends their first script-reading together

On March 14th, the cast members of SBS’s upcoming drama, “City Hunter“, participated in their first script-reading at the SBS Ilsan Production Center.

Lee Min Ho, Park Min Young, Lee Jun Hyuk, KARA’s Goo Hara, Chun Ho Jin, Kim Sang Joong, Lee Hyo Jung, and Lee Gwang Soo worked together for a total of three hours in a friendly atmosphere, exhibiting professional attitudes and perfect teamwork. The leading stars had even voluntarily stayed behind afterwards to further rehearse on their own in other rooms.

The drama is based off the original Japanese comic series, “City Hunter“, although minor tweaks have been added to make it work with a Korean background.

The drama is currently scheduled to air its pilot episode on March 25th, and has already been earning much anticipation, thanks to its all-star cast. That hype got bumped up another notch after it was revealed that PD Jin Hyuk (who’s known for “Shining Inheritance” and “Prosecutor Princess“) and writer Hwang Eun Kyung (who’s known for “Daemul“) had teamed up for the production.

Producers of “City Hunter” stated, “The scene from the script-reading was a scene of perfect cooperation between young, passionate actors, and the older, more experienced seniors. We could all feel their determination in hoping to make this the best drama possible.”

Universal Music Japan will be delaying late March releases

With the influence of earthquake in Japan, Universal Music Japan decided to delay all new release (including single, album, DVD) planned in late March.

It also affected Choshinsei upcoming release which are

- Choshinsei Live Movie in 3D Original Soundtrack (original release date : 23th March 2011)

- Sungje (Choshinsei), Jiyoung (KARA) "Merry Love" (original release : 30th March 2011)

This also affected Big Bang, Seung Ri album release, and also KARA's single "Jet Coaster Love"

Girl group 4minute's maknae, Kwon SoHyun unique sunglasses became the last sensation among netizens trending discussions.

4minute and BEAST Japanese activities cancelled due to Japanese disaster

Idols groups BEAST and 4minute's activities has been put on hold,adding to the schedules in Japan being cancelled due to the recent disaster occuring in Japan,in respect of the country's population.

On March 16,BEAST's Japan debut single "SHOCK" was supposed to be released,but because of the earthquake and tsunami disaster that hit Japan recently,the single release may be postponed .

Moreover,BEAST was scheduled to make an appearance and perform "SHOCK" for the first time at Universal Dream Live 2011 in Osaka,which was to be held in Universal Studios Japan from March 19 to 21.There is no confirmation about their appearance at the event.

On the other hand,4minute which released their latest japanese single,"Why" on March 9 and was scheduled to perform the song on Japanese's popular music show,HAPPY MUSIC on March 19 has also put all activities schedules on hold.Cube Entertainment's representative told Star News reporter on March 15 :

"We're currently discussing with our agency based in Japan to find a way to help with what's happening there." he then continued " 4minute's members are also willing to help Japanese people in any way possible."

Cube Entertainment's representative revealed: "Due to the massive Tsunami and earthquakes waves that hit Japan lately,heavy casualties,missing japanese people and victims unaccounted for,we felt that cancelling our artists activities in Japan and postponing their shedules was the right thing to do."

He then added : "It's essential to share their pain and join together to support them and pray for them."


Meantime,North East Japan was hit by a 9.0 magnitude earthquake on March 11,the strongest quake recorded in the country's history.The earthquake generated a huge Tsunami wave and caused the eruption of volcans in the South.

Krystal 'accidentally' confirms April comeback. Finished filming MV yesterday

Few days ago, f(x) member Krystal 'accidentally' blurted out that f(x) is set to comeback in April.

Regarding what Luna said during an interview with Star News, she mentioned f(x)'s comeback is going to be around the first half of 2011. The wait is over and their comeback is set on April!

Even though there were articles about their March comeback from news sites like Nate, Newsen and Sportschosun, Star News predicted an April comeback which was a 'rumor' as well but it's been official now thanks to Krystal.

Krystal was a guest on SBS Shim Shim Ta Pa radio few days ago, one of the host asked her about f(x)'s comeback, she 'accidentally' said, "We (f(x)) are set to comeback in April." which shocked the fans and brought joy to them.

When asked about Amber, Krystal said, "She's been working hard for our comeback."

Earlier today, new information's been surfacing around fan cafes. It has been reported that f(x) has finished filming their MV just yesterday. Its also been reported that the MV is a SET MV.

T-ara’s Hyomin reveals airplane selcas on way back from Thailand

T-ara member Hyomin’s picture from inside a plane has been gathering much attention due to her beautiful aesthetics.

On March 14th, Hyomin tweeted, “Thai-! I have returned safely.^^~ As a matter of fact… Is it because of my clothes…? I totally fell asleep… keke” – along with two pictures of herself.
