Song Ji Hyo, Lee Dong Wook, and more attend ‘Mandate of Heaven’ press conference

KBS 2TV‘s ‘Iris 2‘ is almost over which means another Wed-Thurs drama will take its place. The show that will be following up is none other than the highly anticipated historical drama ‘Mandate of Heaven‘.

The cast of the upcoming KBS 2TV drama ‘Mandate of Heaven’ attended the press conference for the drama at the Imperial Palace Hotel in Gangnam, Seoul on the 17th. Lee Dong Wook, Song Ji Hyo, Kim Yoo Bin, 2AM‘s Seulong, Park Ji Young, Song Jong Ho, Yoon Jin Yi, and more introduced themselves and opened up about their teamwork.

The drama previously unveiled BTS photos of the star-studded cast, and now fans can see more details in new trailers.

Lee Dong Wook plays a royal physician who gets framed in an assassination conspiracy and ends up as a fugitive on the run. He also races against the clock to cure his terminally ill daughter. If the thrilling plot doesn’t cut it for you, tune in for the budding romance between Lee Dong Wook and Song Ji Hyo.

‘Mandate of Heaven’ premieres on April 24th.

T-ara N4 spotted heading to practice for their debut

T-ara‘s first ever subunit T-ara N4, who’ve unleashed their first group teaser, were recently spotted heading to practice for their highly anticipated debut.

Jiyeon, Eunjung, Hyomin, and Ahreum were spotted heading to the practice room on the 16th dressed comfortably in their casual activewear and no makeup on. Fans were delighted to see the four subunit members looking excited for their debut.

‘T-ara N4‘, which is a shortened form of ‘T-ara Brand New 4‘, signifies the transformation of the four members. As mentioned previously, T-ara N4 will be kicking off their debut with a dance track with elements of hip hop called “Countryside Life“, produced by hit-making team Duble Sidekick.

Baek Ji Young and Jung Suk Won to marry this June!

It looks like the rumors were wrong. Singer Baek Ji Young (Korean age: 37) and her boyfriend actor Jung Suk Won (27) are marrying this June after 2 years of dating!

Jung Suk Won’s agency Polaris Entertainment announced on the 18th, “Famous celebrity couple Jung Suk Won and Baek Ji Young are getting married. The final date and wedding hall have yet to be confirmed.”

According to an insider, the couple began to have serious discussions about marriage earlier this year. They both decided on June, which is when Jung Suk Won wraps up filming the movie ‘N.L.L.-Battle of Yeonpyeong‘.

SHINee and f(x)’s Victoria get classy for ‘High Cut’

SHINee, sans Jonghyun who is recovering from surgery, and f(x)’s gorgeous Victoriarecently teamed up for a classy pictorial for the April issue of fashion magazine, ‘High Cut’.

The pictorial showcased SHINee’s sexy masculinity as they are decked out in sharp looking suits. Especially, a couple photo of Minho and Victoria locked in a tight embrace also caught the attention of the public.

In an interview, the five reflected on the days when they first debuted. Victoria shared her memories of SHINee, saying “When I look back, they’ve all become more mature. Back then, all of the members felt like my cute younger brothers but now they are men.”

SHINee also revealed Victoria’s transformation stating, “Victoria wasn’t very good in Korean but she can speak Korean so well now. It’s the power of the broadcast.”

T-ara N4 releases additional teaser photos for unit debut on April 29th

T-ara N4 will be debuting sooner than expected on April 29th!

The subunit, consisting of members Jiyeon, Eunjung, Hyomin, and Areum, initially had set May 1st as their release date, but according to Core Contents Media, you’ll get to see the girls sooner than that!

CCM commented, “T-ara N4′s ‘Countryside Life‘ song and music video will be unveiled through music sites and YouTube on the 29th.”

In addition to the release date, more teaser photos have also been revealed, further providing insight on the style and concept for the girls.

Why were Taemin and Na Eun cast as ‘We Got Married’s new couple? PD reveals his reasons

Ever since the sudden reports about SHINee‘s Taemin and A Pink‘s Na Eun becoming the next couple on MBC‘s ‘We Got Married‘, fans and viewers have been questioning the reason behind the casting, especially seeing that as the two are very young.

Following the confirmation of the two’s casting, the show’s PD spoke up about why he decided to bring in these two young stars as their latest couple.

Hwang Kyo Jin PD revealed to ‘Mydaily‘, “We were looking for a new on-screen couple who’d give off the vibe of a first love. We interviewed various celebrities, but out of them, Taemin and Na Eun who hardly have any dating experience, seemed the most suited, and they also have a lot of things in common.”

“Specifically, when they were discussing the topic of love, Taemin talked about his elementary school days while Na Eun talked about her kindergarten days… They met during the first filming and exuded an innocent and fresh vibe. We ask that the viewers also watch over the new on-screen couple of Taemin and Na Eun with love.”

Taemin and Na Eun recently filmed for the show on Jeju Island, and their first episode will air on the 27th.

A photo of the two filming together at a water park in Jeju Island was recently uploaded online. Both are smiling brightly in the warm sun, and look like they’re enjoying each other’s company.

Taemin and Na Eun will be the couple that follows up Sunhwa and Kwanghee after they step downfrom the show. MBC confirmed, “Taemin and Na Eun started filming ‘We Got Married’ in Jeju Island on the 17th.”

Their first episode featuring the new couple will air on April 27.

Park Shin Hye issues warning about fake Facebook account

Actress Park Shin Hye has issued a warning to fans that someone is impersonating her on Facebook.

On April 17th, Park Shin Hye tweeted, “I saw that my name came up in Facebook’s Suggested Friends. The name, photos, school, and even the friends I know for that account was exactly the same as mine. What kind of situation is this…?”, informing the fans that someone was impersonating her on Facebook.

Park Shin Hye isn’t the only victim of fake accounts on different SNS as plenty of celebrities, including Jang Geun Suk, Lee Kwang Soo, Super Junior’s Eunhyuk, Yoo Jae Suk and more have met with such situations.

4minute releases new set of image teasers

Following their fantasy-like teasers earlier, 4minute has just unveiled another set of image teasers for their anticipated comeback!

On April 18th, Cube Entertainment unveiled new teaser photos of jungle concept. As usual, 4minute members spurt their unique aura as well as display fresh and mature looks.

4minute’s comeback date is penciled in as April 25th, which makes it exactly one year since their last Korean release, ‘Volume Up’. It is said that the concept will be as strong and as powerful as their concept during their debut days.

T-ara N4 to release debut song on April 29

T-ara’s new unit group T-ara N4 will be releasing their anticipated debut song “Countryside Diaries” along its full music video on April 29th, according to their agency, Core Contents Media.

Recently, T-ara N4 released their first music video teaser for the song, showing the members’ transformation into charismatic hip hop group. The unit received a variety of positive reactions for their image which is different from T-ara’s previous concepts.

“Countryside Diaries” is a funky and intense dance number produced by hitmaker Double Sidekick who also included touches of hip-hop in the song. The song is based on MBC’s long-running drama of the same name.

Ailee and Acoustic Collabo release songs for ‘Strawberry X-treme Festival’

Power singer Ailee and Acoustic Collabo have released new songs for the upcoming ‘Strawberry X-treme Festival’.

On April 18th, Ailee released her new single “Scent of a Woman” while Acoustic Collabo also released “My Bashful Love” for the rock festival to be held in June this year, in which the two will be performing.

‘Strawberry X-treme Festival’ is a music concert that features various genres from rock to hip hop and acoustic. This year, performers also include Deli Spice, Broccoli Even You, No Brain, Pia, Baek Ji Young, MC Sniper and more.

4minute To Host ‘SNL Korea’!

Girls group 4MINUTE will be hosting tvN program ‘SNL Korea’ on the 27th.

The representative of SNL Korea said that  4MINUTE confirmed that they will be appearing on the show as hosts which will be on the 27th of April. 4MINUTE's sexy image when performing on stage doesn't fail to amaze fans but the image they will be showing on the show garners attention. 

In the past, idol groups including Super Junior and 2AM were also able to host the show and showed their sense of humor.

‘SNL Korea’ airs on every Saturday 11PM.
