Rainbow's rapper Woori shared a new selca on her Twitter.

Qri also shared a new photo on her Twitter saying that they are filming for Y- Star's food show when the photo was taken.

T-ara to release new version of “Roly-Poly”, “Roly-Poly in Copacabana”

T-ara will be releasing a special edition of their current title track “Roly-Poly” on August 2nd entitled “Roly-Poly in Copacabana“.

Their entertainment company Core Contents Media shared, “We’re using the name of the hottest club from the ’80s, ‘The Copacabana’. We want to reignite the disco club era through this new version of the song, ‘Roly-Poly in Copacabana.’”

The group promises an even trendier version of “Roly-Poly” through the upcoming track by incorporating more elements of disco.

“Roly-Poly” was recently chosen by club DJs as this summer’s best dance track. As busy as they’ve been promoting the song, T-ara will soon be turning their attention to preparations for their Japanese debut.

KARA to endorse ‘Red Vinegreat Drink’ in Japan

KARA has been chosen as the Japanese advertisement models for Chung Jung Won’s drink product, “Red Vinegreat Drink“!

Thanks to their cute and healthy image, the girls have acquired quite the fanbase in Japan.

CFs for the brand will begin airing in Tokyo, Osaka, and Nagoya starting this month with KARA at the forefront of their campaign. KARA will be emphasizing their healthy and slim body lines to show what could be achieved by drinking the product.

Aside from TV CFs, Chung Jung Won will be planning several events and fan signings to further promote the brand. Representatives explained, “By choosing KARA as our Japanese models, we’re looking forward to the rise in sales and the advancement of our image. Once fans found out that KARA was contracted for our drink, we recorded $1.2 million USD in sales, 10 times more than the standard.”

They continued, “We believe that KARA will be able to deliver our drink’s keyword of ’skincare’ and ‘body management’ to our consumers, as our target base is women in their 20s to 30s.”

T-ara’s Hyomin reveals her childhood photos

T-ara’s Hyomin updated her Twitter with a picture saying, “Yesterday as I was looking for some of my valuables I found an old sticker photo. After I had heard the news of the development of sticker photo machines I, an excited elementary schooler, thought I should be the first one to get my picture taken“.

The younger Hyomin’s cute demeanor drew fans’ attention.

Hyomin tweeted again, “Two more pictures from my childhood! The first picture is a ‘YaYaYa‘ concept” along with two more photographs. Wearing a cute top, a small Hyomin is posing smugly with friends.

“The second photo’s concept is ‘Roly Poly‘. My mom seems to have planned out the makeup concept since. This was taken when I had been crying to Dad about getting me a puppy, but after Mom promised to dress me up and put makeup on me my mood drastically brightened. But I still look so smug“.

Upon seeing the pictures netizens warmly commented, “You were and are still so adorable“, “this proves you are a natural cutie“, “your younger appearance was so cute“.

f(x)’s Krystal collapses after her performance on “Kiss and Cry”

On this week’s episode of SBS’s “Kiss & Cry“, f(x)’s Krystal and her partner, Lee Dong Hun, gave another beautiful performance based on an OST track from the hit movie, “Pirates of the Caribbean“.

To match their “Pirates of the Caribbean” concept, Krystal and Lee Dong Hun transformed intoElizabeth Swann and Jack Sparrow respectively.

The couple lived up to their ‘Lifting Couple’ label as they showcased elegant movements with their trademark lifts, and were able to complete their climatic performance flawlessly.

However, Krystal felt really exhausted and collapsed on the ice right after they concluded their performance. As a result, she was taken backstage to rest as a precaution while Lee Dong Hun stood in front of the judging panel by himself.

Kim Yuna praised, “You always display head-spinning, awesome performances. I really enjoyed watching your performance today.“ Dong Hun replied, “I made a mistake in our first jump, and I think my partner lost her energy after that. I’m really sorry about it.”

During her interview after the performance, Krystal explained, “My condition wasn’t well that day. I think everything just hit me all at once the moment we finished our stage. I had lost my appetite that day because of my bad condition. After our performance, I got really dizzy and couldn’t stand back up.”

She added, “I will eat lots, work hard and show a better image.”

The “Lifting Couple” received over 9 points from all four judges, earning a total score of 36.6 points.

T-ara’s Qri takes a cute selca in an old school uniform

On July 31st, T-ara’s Qri shared a selca that she took in the waiting room for this week’s‘Inkigayo‘ broadcast.

Qri jokingly tweeted, “I came to watch T-ara unnies! I’m a huge fan of the unnies. I always hear that I look like Qri unnie! Please remember me!”

T-ara’s concept for the “Roly-Poly” performance on “Inkigayo” this week was ’70s High School Girls‘, where the members all dressed up in old school uniforms and had plaited hair.

Qri snapped a picture of herself pretending to be a high school fangirl, as indicated by her costume and the ‘T-ara’ paper fan.

Netizens reacted with, “I’m a fan of Qri unnie too!”, “You look exactly like Qri. Are you guys twins?”,and “You’re cute today as well! You look just like a doll!”

KARA is selected as a model for Japanese drink

KARA is also effective in advertising world in Japan.

KARA will be a model for ‘Drinking Hongcho’ in Japan from August. In July, after KARA made a contract, sales have increased 10 times for last month.

The company, Chungjungwon’s official said, “Unlike Japanese Idol Groups’ girlish image, KARA is know for their hip dance, so they can deliver the key words, ‘skin’ and ‘keeping in shape’, for Hongcho. We are targeting Japanese women in their early 20s and 30s and they will reach consensus on KARA.

The company also said, besides the TV commercial, they will have a variety promotions for Hongcho, including an event with KARA’s concert and signing event.

Through KARA, Chungjungwon is anticipating to increase the sales and raise their brand awareness in Japan.

Meanwhile, KARA will make their comeback in Korea this fall.

T-ara to release a new "Copacabana" inspired version of "Roly Poly"

Girl group T-ara will release a new version of "Roly-Poly".

At 5:00 PM on August 2nd, T-ara will reveal a new song called, "Roly-Poly In Copacabana". The song was named after "Copacabana" popularized in the 80's in Jongno disco clubs.

"Roly-Poly" is currently very popular and doing well on charts. Taking the original song, they made a more stylish and trendy Euro-dance version of the song as well.

T-ara added a new feeling to their music making it into a vacation-song. Their agency said, "It will have the fun disco craze rhythms added."

In addition, T-ara are releasing a follow-up song on the 16th which is a remake of Nami's "Round and Round". T-ara plan to dominate the music industry this summer.

T-ara are still promoting but also are preparing for their full scale debut in Japan.

T-ara's Jiyeon has a male model doppelganger

Recently, a model from the men's clothing store called No Hongchul has been gaining attention for his resemblance to T-ara's Jiyeon.

Baek Hyojun is not a famous celebrity, but recently became a model and right when he did, he attracted attention for his similar looks to T-ara's Jiyeon.

He is 180cm with pale white skin, stylish and with a good fashion sense. He meets the conditions of being a "pretty boy," but he can also pass as Jiyeon's older official.

An official for the store said, "The model Baek Hyojun has a clean and pure image, as well as a diverse and unique style that matches the store."

He's currently a model, but also an aspiring artist. Baek Hyojun said, "There is a lot of times when I'm called as Jiyeon's older brother Baek Hyojun, but it made me upset. But now, I think of it as luck (?). In my future as a model but also in a variety of different activities such as being a singer, I will try to grow."

T-ara's Jiyeon "Because me and Hwayoung aren't 19, we couldn't see 'Gisaeng Spirit' yet"

"Because we're too young, we couldn't watch 'Gisaeng Spirit' and had to return to our dorm..."

The summer film "Gisaeng Spirit" with Han Eunjung and T-ara's Hyomin was decided as inappropriate for youth.

T-ara members Jiyeon and Hwayoung both turned 18 this year. Because the movie is rated 19+, they're unable to see it. Recently, Hyomin and Han Eunjung hosted a VIP premiere party for "Gisaeng Spirit" and even Jiyeon and Hwayoung were seen there with the other members of T-ara, but unlike their members, they returned back to their dorm while the others watched the movie.

T-ara's Jiyeon said in a recent interview, "Me and Hwayoung couldn't see the movie because of the age limit restriction, so we had to go back to our dorm. We are both still only high school students. (?)"

Jiyeon continued, "Just us two went back alone in the car. When my unnies came back to the dorm they said things like, 'It was so interesting and scary.' Because I couldn't see the movie, I was disappointed but I'm also curious about it now," she said.

Meanwhile, "Gisaeng Spirit" is about the spirit of a child that possesses another person's body and commits gruesome murders. Lee Hyungseok, Han Eunjung, and Hyomin play the lead roles.

The publisher for the movie said, "The emotional development with the charters, intense and dramatic visuals and chilling effects make it a hot movie for the summer."

"Gisaeng Spirit" opens on August 4th.

Krystal of f(x) blanked out after the performance "I was so dizzy.."

Krystal of f(x) couldn’t stand up after her performance in SBS’s Kiss and Cry due to dizziness.

In the episode aired on the 31st, Krystal performed the Pirates of the Carribbean with her partner Dong Hoon.

Krystal couldn’t get to the Kiss and Cry zone, so only partner Dong Hoon went to the zone.

Dong Hoon said, “I think she lost all her energy because I made a mistake in a jump, I’m terribly sorry.”

Krystal explained, “I wasn’t in a condition that day, so I didn’t eat anything. After the performance, I couldn’t stand up because I was so dizzy.” in an interview with the production crew.

Krystal added, “I’ll eat up, and work hard for better performances.”
