The cycle begins with member Seungyeon, making her solo debut on ‘Music Core‘ with “Guilty“. Next up will be Gyuri on ‘Inkigayo‘ for the December 16th episode.

Heechul voted as #1 unwanted son-in-law!

On the winter special episode of MBC Music’s 'All the K-POP' broadcasted on December 14, there was an interesting survey of 100 housewives who live in Seoul about ‘Which member of Super Junior would you least want as a son-in-law?”. 

This part was cut from the special on Lee Teuk’s entrance into the military because it went over the time limit. The result was that ‘Universe Star’ Kim Hee Chul won first place. The reasons were, “His pretty face would make many women fall for him”, “He looks like he would cheat a lot” and these were many other reasons why they felt that Hee Chul’s outstanding looks would not make him a suitable son-in-law.

Lee Teuk responded to this result, “Heechul has a peculiar charm. He has the fatal charm that when he falls into something, he cannot escape it. I think that I would have a hard time with him if I were a woman” and made everyone laugh. Folowing the ranking was Yesung at #2 and Siwon at #3. Lee Teuk was last place and won the honor of being the most wanted son-in-law.

2012 ‘I Miss You’

But that assumption completely missed the mark. As he had surprisingly chosen a fusion historical drama for his first project, he surprised many by picking the melodramatic drama ‘Miss Ripley’.

#Rooftop Prince – From a Diamond in the Rough with Endless Potential and Talent To a Sparkling Gem
Park Yoochun chose ‘Rooftop Prince’ for his third project. SBS handed over the key to resurrecting their stagnating Wednesday-Thursday dramas, and was confidant that he would be the one to revive their spot in the time slot.
In ‘Rooftop Prince’, Park Yoochun took on two roles of Crown Prince Lee Gak and chaebol Yong Tae Yong. The responsibility on Park Yoochun’s shoulders was immense as, unlike ‘SungKyunKwan Scandal’ and ‘Miss Ripley’, he was in charge of leading the whole drama from the beginning. Though there were concerns before the drama began that Lee Seon Joon of ‘SungKyunKwan Scandal’ and Lee Gak of ‘Rooftop Prince’, as well as Song Yoo Hyun of ‘Miss Ripley’ and Yong Tae Yong of ‘Rooftop Prince’ had overlapping characteristics, Park Yoochun was able to perfectly portray his new characters as unique individuals.

Park Yoochun widened his acting scope by perfectly portraying both Lee Gak and Yong Tae Yong, balancing charisma and comedy at the same time. He was able to perfectly show the emotions running through the ups and downs of Lee Gak’s experiences. Park Yoochun kept our eyes glued to the screen as he cried over the loss of his beloved princess in one scene, and switched to a comical representation of a man out of his time in the next.
Most of all, Park Yoochun made it impossible to imagine anyone else playing the role of Lee Gak. ‘Rooftop Prince’ gave Park Yoochun the chance to show off his wide spectrum of abilities as he proved that he was able to successfully juggle comedic, serious and melodramatic roles. This won him a Most Popular Actor Award at the Baeksang Arts Awards, as well as the Netizen Award and Best Hallyu Drama Actor Award at the Seoul Drama Awards.

This popularity has carried over to other countries, with Park Yoochun’s individual fanclub reaching well over 120,000 members in China and his drama becoming the most watched Korean Drama since 2011 in Taiwan. Park Yoochun was also chosen as ‘The Actor Foreigners Believe is the Best Representative Icon of Seoul’.

Yoochun complains there are too many tears in ‘I Miss You’

Yoochun jokingly complained that there were too many crying scenes in his drama ‘I Miss You‘.

‘I Miss You’ recently revealed a behind the scenes video of the filming set. In the scene that was shown, Yoochun was invited to Yoo Seung Ho and Yoon Eun Hye‘s house. Even though the drama is continuously sad, the set was nothing but bright and fun.

Yoochun especially was the mood maker on set. At one point, he said, “This drama cries too much. First, I cried while I was eating and now I just smash my head down and cry properly.” Yoochun then proceeded to cry comically, causing Yoon Eun Hye to burst out into laughter.

Donghae opens up ‘The Grand Place’ cafe in Taiwan

Super Junior‘s Donghae opened up a cafe in Taiwan.

Donghae recently took to his Twitter to write, “Hello, everyone~ I’m Super Junior’s Donghae~! My brother and I opened up a small place so we can communicate with our Taiwanese fans~~ December 12th!! “The Grand Place” (^^) (Zhong Xiao East Road, Section 4, Alley 27, Lane 216, 16) I hope people enjoy themselves here~!” Later on his opening day, he wrote, “Good morning!! Today, I hope everyone has fun at THE GRAND PLACE!! (^^) I can’t go see you guys today, so sorry ~ T。T“.

After the cafe closed for the day after its grand opening, Donghae again tweeted, “Thank you everyone^^ I love you all!!” and uploaded a photo of all the congratulatory wreaths for his cafe.

Which Super Junior members were picked as the most and least wanted son-in-law?

On December 14th, MBC Music‘s ‘All the K-POP‘ ran a survey where they asked 100 housewives which Super Junior member they didn’t want as a son-in-law.

According to the survey of the 100 housewives, Heechul was chosen as the member they least wanted as a son-in-law. Many of the housewives said, “He seems to be too popular with women“, and “He looks like a player“. When Leeteuk saw the result, he said, “Heechul has an eerie charm. He has a dangerous charm where people who fall for him can never come back out… If I was a woman, I’d be suffering“.

Yesung ranked #2 and Siwon ranked #3 on the list of least-wanted son-in-laws. Leeteuk was ranked last, meaning that most people wanted him as a son-in-law.

Donghae to debut on the big screen as the male lead of ‘Dreaming while Deceived, Still Dreaming when You Deceive Someone’

Super Junior‘s Donghae will be making his big screen debut.

A movie industry insider revealed that Donghae has been chosen as the male lead for the movie ‘Dreaming while Deceived, Still Dreaming when You Deceive Someone‘. The movie deals with a person named Chae Yi who dreams of being an author. She moves into a village that’s about to be run over, and encounters numerous scenarios as she lives with the strange inhabitants. Kang Hye Yeon, who received the Artreon Award at the 2012 Seoul International Female Movie Awards, will be directing the movie.

Donghae will be playing two characters. One character will be Hyun Soo, who the female lead has a crush on. The other character is Jung Woo, who secretly takes care of the female lead. Donghae has previously acted as the male lead of ‘Panda and Hedgehog‘, and had also been in the Super Junior movie ‘Attack of the Pin-Up Boys‘, but this will be his first lead role in an official movie.

The movie is set to begin filming in early 2013 and will be released later in the year.

ASIA SUPER SHOWCASE MALAYSIA 2012 后记+图片

Asia Super Showcase in Malaysia 2012在12月11日于吉隆坡河清苑圆满落幕了。这次的演出吸引了将近8000名粉丝的参与，场面很热闹，粉丝的欢呼声灌满全场哦。鸣谢Universal让我们有机会参与这次的演出。 

会在这里稍微整理一下当晚BTOB, EXO-M和Super Junior M的演出细节。毕竟小编已经很投入在演出其中，所以有所错误报导请多多包涵。

等候多时的表演大约在8时20分开始，首先出场的是BTOB。他们带来了7首歌曲包括：Born To Beat, Irresistible Lips, Imagine, One Thing I Know, My Girl, Insane和Wow。访问中他们也提到马来西亚的KLCC很漂亮，是很好的逛街地方，也大方称赞大马人很漂亮。队长恩光也说很开心在马来西亚那么受欢迎。炫植还以流利的华语说有机会一定会再来马来西亚和爱你们。成员镒勋还和3位粉丝一起表演他的招牌可爱动作哦，羡煞旁人。小编要强调他们的专业精神，演出的时候，音乐突然失灵，他们没有怯场还继续把那首歌唱完，过后还频频向粉丝们道歉。 

接着出场的就是今年备受瞩目的EXO-M了。他们演唱了4首歌曲包括：History, What Is Love, Angel你的世界，和Mama。访问时成员Lay提到说马来西亚人很聪明，会很多语言，粉丝也很漂亮，大家都在那卖口乖。 

续两组团体的演出后，最后压轴出场的就是小编自己认为粉丝到场最多的Super Junior M了。坐在粉丝群最后面的小编当天很清楚的看到宝蓝海，还有粉丝的应援声超级棒的说。SJ-M当天表演了6首歌曲包括：Super Girl, 至少还有你，爱不单行，迷（Me），命运线，和太完美。SJ-M一出场欢呼声震耳欲聋，顿时宝蓝色的荧光棒灌溉全场哦。阔别一年再次来马的他们，似乎心情特别好哦，和粉丝们的互动也是很多。 

圭贤也大秀他的华语：“大家好你现在收看的是—圭贤”，“对不对”，“是不是”“心有灵犀一点通” “众里寻她千百度，蓦然回首那人却在灯火阑珊处” 最后一句说是新的“师傅领进门，修行在个人。。。没了”哈哈继续加油吧。 

应主持人的要求以华语和大马粉丝说：“马来西亚我爱你”他们都照样做了。

始源因为在拍着《电视剧的帝王》所以无法出席，特地录了影片给粉丝们道歉，影片里还交代粉丝们要好好喜欢和支持SJ-M的成员们和后辈EXO-M。还交代粉丝们要多多支持他的新剧。影片过后周觅说新专辑发行后会全员到齐宣传专辑的。大家就期待吧！ 

这次在主办的安排下他们大玩猜水果游戏，山竹，菠萝蜜，红毛丹，冷杀，榴莲。看来他们得在马来西亚来个Long Stay了好好认识认识这里的本地水果。接下来是回答粉丝问题的环节，“成员里选择做女朋友的话你会选谁？”这个环节再次引起高潮尤其是赫海的部分，大家都好兴奋的说。接着是“你们几时要来大马Long Stay”，银赫就卖口乖说不如你们来我们的宿舍住，会有人照顾你，唱歌给你听， 此时粉丝们的尖叫声更大声了。Henry也有提到对歌迷们很抱歉因为不常来马来西亚和大家见面。他们也提到SJM的新专辑很快就会和大家见面了，而且他们也会在这个星期拍摄音乐视频哦，大家再等多一下吧！东海还应大家的要求小秀一下新专辑的舞步，不过最后被圭贤给挡了下来。总觉得有他们在的地方是不会有冷场的出现。有出席的粉丝赞同我的说法吗？ 

最后SJ-M以太完美结束这次的演出，粉丝们为太完美的应援真的另我很感动。这次的演出在完美的应援声下终于结束了。结束时成员东海，银赫，历旭和Henry如往常的公演般到舞台的各个角落鞠躬感谢歌迷到场支持。
