Henry is living proof of the phrase "no pain, no gain" on 'Real Men' and shared how the show gave him a renewed perspective on life as well as some behind-the-scenes stories!
Henry held an interview with reporters backstage at KBS 2TV's 'Music Bank' for his comeback stage and talked about sharing a room with his 'Real Men' co-star. "I arrived at the broadcast station and ended up having the same waiting room as K.Will. I liked that I got to use it with K.Will hyung, who I'm comfortable with. But after only seeing him wearing a military uniform, it was awkward to see his handsome image."
He also shared the epiphany he had due to the hardship he faced on 'Real Men', "It was very difficult. The way I look at soldiers has changed. If I see soldiers from a distance, I feel sorry. That is why I would tell them that they go through a lot and once treated them to bread and milk. They recognized me. Korean men are cool."
"An ahjumma came up to me and told me that because of me, her depression was gone. She told me that I'm a lot of fun to watch. Upon hearing that, I became joyful that people have fun and happiness [through me] even though it is difficult. I am taking it on with more strength."
"To be honest, I thought a lot about the meaning of life last week. I realized that I give happiness to others through my talent. I think the purpose of my life is to make people happy and have fun as well as share the sorrowful and emotional emotions through music."
K.Will also tweeted on July 11, "With my fellow [soldier] Henry a.k.a Farting boy ke Congrats on your comeback, Henry!! Day 1 hehe," along with the friendly snapshot taken backstage at 'Music Bank'.
