French fan apologizes for hilarious “Fat Victoria” mistake

A recent image uploaded by a French K-pop fan has netizens laughing and poking fun at a cute spelling mistake.

The fan first became spotlighted when she was shown on a television clip of French fans at the airport, as she was holding up a sign that apparently spelled out “Fat Victoria“. After much confusion, it turned out that she had mixed up the spelling for the words “fat” (뚱뚱) and “doong doong” (둥둥).

In a picture she recently posted as an apology, she is seen holding up a sign that says, “f(x) is the best! Victoria doong doong~“, with cute paper tears flowing from her eyes. The fan posted the picture on her Twitter along with an apology, explaining that she had mixed up the spelling.

f(x)’s Victoria has earned the nickname “Doong Doong” for her lines in “NU ABO“, which go, “Doong doong (floating) above the clouds”.

‘Dream High’ cast to reunite for concert in Japan

Japan is in love with KBS2TV’s ’Dream High‘, and it’s inspired the cast to come together once more for a concert in Japan!

The drama was previously aired through Japanese network DATV, but because it’s garnered such a positive response from viewers, the network decided to airing re-runs of the episodes.

DATV and AVEX have decided to host the Dream High concert at Saitama Super Arena on September 4th. The event will see appearances from Bae Yong Joon, J.Y. Park, and the rest of the cast.

An official stated, “This is the first time in about nine months that Bae Yong Joon will be meeting with his fans. We are already receiving inquiries about the concert tickets, and people are expressing a great deal of interest about the concert.”

'Kiss and Cry' theme for next contest "Dance Dance"

It has been decided that the theme for the next contest on 'Kiss and Cry' will be "Dance, Dance".

On the June 12th broadcast of the show, the theme was "Couple" and the participants skated to a variety of dance songs, thus based on this, the decision was made for the theme of the next set of performances. The PD of 'Kiss and Cry' said, "Following this theme, the writers will work together with each of the participating teams to come to an agreement regarding the song choice and stage format."

Also, the total score from the "Couple" and "Dance, Dance" contests will determine the first contestant to be eliminated from the show. Kim Jae Hyuk PD explained, "As the first contest was held not long after the couples met up for the first time, they may not have been able to showcase the best that they can do. The second contest will provide a chance for them to prove themselves again and for every following contest after that, contestants will slowly be eliminated." However, it has not be decided yet how many teams will be eliminated each time, during the 5 rounds of contests. (*Note: There are 10 teams in all)

Meanwhile, for every contest, the judges will keep changing and have not been confirmed yet, while the theme song for the show, 'Ice Flower', sung by MC Kim Yuna and IU is scheduled to be released on the June 19th broadcast. Also, after the June 12th broadcast, which featured performances by Yunho, Krystal, Kim Byung Man, Park Jun Geum, IU and others, Kim Byung Man received positive feedback for his excellent performance despite his ankle injury, and IU also received positive comments for her great improvement and dedication to figure skating practice.

f(x)'s new music video "Hot Summer" will be released through their official homepage as well as SMTOWN's YouTube channel (www.youtube.com/smtown). The music video was recorded in early June in Incheon and Namyang.

Directed by Hong Wongi (who directed Seo Taeji's "Moai", SHINee's "Hello", and Super Junior's "Taewanmi"), f(x)'s new music video is expected to show a mature image.

The follow-up song "Hot Summer" has powerful synthesizer sounds and their impressing beats invite you to dance to this electronic pop song. This song also tells how to spend the hot summer. Following KARA's famous butt and penguin dance, KARA is going to challenge the Japan-originated PARAPARA dance in their latest single "Go Go Summer" that is going to be release this month on the 29th.

The PV of this song is being filmed at a beach and it has a very strong summer feel. Incorporating their sexy moves with PARAPARA dance, the member gave it a new name "KARAPARA".
PARAPARA dance originated in Japan, comprising of hands and legs movements mainly. This dance gained their popularity in the 80s. However, they are taken over by the eurobeat. Though this dance is not in trend currently, it is believed that KARA will revive this dance craze.
