Korea Drama "Dream High" Japanese Edition Soundtrack

It's been decided that the much-hyped about Korean drama that aired through DATV, "Dream High," will release an original Japanese premium edition soundtrack on July 27, 2011.

"Dream High" received a lot of hype for being a joint work production between Korean company KEYEAST's Bae Yong Joon and music producer J.Y. Park of Korean company JYP Entertainment. The drama's stage is set by a group of youths who enter Girin Public High School in hopes of becoming future stars. It's a moving story about the setbacks and conflicts they come across as they persevere in becoming world stars and build love and friendships.

Including special appearances by Bae Yong Joon and J.Y. Park, top K-POP idols Taecyeon and Wooyoung of 2PM, female solo artist IU, Suzy of miss A, Eunjung of T-ara, rising newcomer actor Kim Soo Hyun, and more make up the wonderful performers who have been bathed in attention for their music as well as their impressive 10 minute song and dance scenes.

The Japanese premium edition will of course have a number of songs containing Japanese lyrics, becoming a version with even more charm than the original.

Kang Ji Young's chubby face disappeared

KARA's maknae Kang Ji Young shared a new Twitter photo on her Twitter.

She said,"It feels good to workout early in the morning,today is a special day (fanmeeting)",then she showed off her nicely decorated nails.

Fans who have seen the photo said that Ji Young's face is no longer chubby,it has become V shape instead.

f(x)’s Luna, Jang Hee Young & Yoo Ha Na triple cast for ‘Coyote Ugly’ the musical

f(x)’s Luna, Gavy NJ’s Jang Hee Young and musical actress Yoo Ha Na have recently been cast for the musical adaptation, ‘Coyote Ugly.’

‘Coyote Ugly’ has received much love as a film across the world for its comedy and sappy love story since it was first released back in 2000. Fast forward 11 years to today, the story still proves to capture interest as it’s being made into a musical for the first time in Korea.

This musical is set to open on July 8th and will last through the 15th. In addition, audiences will be treated to the OST (soundtrack) from the original movie, including ‘Can’t Fight The Moonlight‘ and ‘I Will Survive.’

However, the attention grabber in this news is the casting of the three talented women. Luna, Jang Hee Young and Yoo Ha Na have been triple cast for the protagonist(s), Violet Sanford–originally played byPiper Perabo. In addition, actor Park Jun Gyu has been cast as Violet’s father.

KARA thanks their fans at 2nd official fan meeting

KARA recently held their 2nd official fan meeting and thanked their fans for their consistent support.

On the 11th, KARA held their 2nd official Korean fan meeting–called ‘Things We Want to Say to You Now‘–at 6PM in Seoul’s indoor Jamsil Gymnasium. This fan meeting was reportedly filled with much emotion as it was their first fan meeting since reports of the group disbanding and contract disputes arose a few months back.

During the fan meeting, the five members all delivered their current state of mind to their fans.

Goo Hara said, “All the members of KARA have been eagerly looking forward to this day. In the last five months, we have all suffered… The hardest thing for us during that time was wondering if we’d get to see our fans again. We talked amongst ourselves because incidents came up from many misunderstandings and now we understand each others hearts.”

Maknae Kang Jiyoung said, “Now that the chaos has passed, we can stand in front of our fans as a united KARA. We were all worrying and struggling to do our best before coming forward today. Our fans gave us much affection and encouragement–as if nothing happened between the five of us–even during the times when we couldn’t carry on with our activities. Close entertainment representatives also helped us during that time.”

Han Seung Yeon said, “Over anything else, I believe the love and encouragement from fans has helped us to come together again. I cannot thank you enough and my heart is forever in debt to all of you.”

Nicole said, “Today’s fan meeting is a day to repay our fans who have been looking over us with a caring heart; we want to reciprocate this to our fans. We want to be your fans and for you to return as stars, not only for today but from this moment forward during every moment we meet with our fans.”

Leader Park Gyuri closed the fan meeting with, “KARA’s true rebirth is today. While we were united even before this, we will show you a more solid KARA from now on… We will show you, our fans, only our bright and happy sides now. We also know that we must work even harder than we have ever worked before. We won’t forget our feelings from today and will work hard. Please watch over us. Thank you and we love you.”

Meanwhile, the five girls talked honestly with their fans and performed eight of their hit songs, including ‘Jumping‘, ‘Mister‘, and ‘Lupin.’ In addition, Rainbow appeared at KARA’s fan meeting as guests and performed ‘A‘ and ‘To Me.’
