Super Junior’s Kyuhyun donates 3 tons of rice to charity

ELF all know that underneath Super Junior Kyuhyun‘s rough image on ‘Radio Star‘, the idol star has a heart of gold.

Kyuhyun will be donating 2750kg (~6062 lbs) of rice to charity in the neighborhood of Nowon, where he used to live, on the 6th. The rice, which will feed 275 families, was presented by fans to congratulate him for being cast in the musical ‘Catch Me If You Can‘.

Thirty-three lucky fans from the ‘Korea Cultural Experience’ organization in Taiwan who came to support Kyuhyun’s musical ‘Three Musketeers‘ will also attend the donation ceremony on behalf of ELF worldwide.

Music insiders say T-ara’s subunit will make debut with “Country Side Diary”

As mentioned before, T-ara is said to be launching their very own subunit consisting of 4 members, Jiyeon, Eunjung, Hyomin, and Areum, and more details have been revealed regarding this exciting project by music insiders.

After the news was broken by a media outlet last time, their report was later replaced by a random article, leaving fans confused. It seems perhaps that article was just released earlier than the intended time or Core Contents Media was just not ready for the information to be revealed, for now multiple media outlets have all reported on the news of this subunit. According to one new report, the agency is neither denying nor confirming the news now, which seems to indicate that there is definitely some truth to all this.

The information being reported on is pretty much along the lines of the initial report, but now the title of the subunit’s debut track has been revealed!

The track, according to insiders, will be called “Country Side Diary” and it is the work of one of the hottest producer teams these days, Duble Sidekick! (There was one lone report that stated that this song is by Shinsadong Tiger, but it seems to be a misreport as every other report is stating Duble Sidekick).

It’s said that the four girls have already begun preparing for the MV, and that their debut date is aimed for the end of April or the beginning of May!

Eunhyuk celebrates his birthday with Adidas

Eunhyuk celebrated his 27th birthday.

The singer was born on April 4, and as soon as midnight struck in Korea, he was presented with gifts. In celebration, he shared a photo with a giant bouquet on his Twitter and wrote, “Mwahahahahahahahahahahahaha It’s my birthday, my birthday“. The bouquet seems to be presented by his fans, and you can barely see him behind the bouquet.

He posted two more photos with a cake presumably given to him by sports apparel brand Adidas, as he wrote,

Kyuhyun shares story of receiving punishment from Yoo Joon Sang

Kyuhyun revealed that he’d received ‘water torture’ from his musical sunbae Yoo Joon Sang!

On the April 3rd episode of ‘Radio Star‘, Yoo Joon Sang was a guest on the show, and Kyuhyun talked about the time worked together on the musical ‘The Three Musketeers‘. Kyuhyun confessed, “Usually, you’re supposed to arrive at the theater 3 hours before a performance. On one particular day, I was 10 minutes late, and Yoo Joon Sang sunbae told me to receive punishment. He already had water prepared in the sink. He grabbed my head and dunked my head in and out of the water.”

The studio laughed incredulously at the ‘water torture’, but Kyuhyun only laughed it off and added, “I guess he felt bad afterwards, because he said, ‘It’s your fault’ (Conducting the punishment without any valid reason).”

Yoo Joon Sang was flustered at the sudden revelation and said, “I need to explain myself..“. He added on that Kyuhyun was usually a diligent, hard working hoobae that he enjoyed acting with. Previously, he’d joked about his ‘punishment’ to his idol musical hoobaes as well.

The theme of the photoshoot is BLOOM. The girls were selected as the models of fashion brand Union Bay since last year, the girls show off their energetic side in the photoshoot.

SHINee performs own ‘mop version’ of “Dream Girl”

After their managers performed a ‘mop version’ dance of “Dream Girl”, the boys of SHINee will not be outshined and had their own version of the dance.

On April 3, SHINee appeared on MBC Everyone’s ‘Weekly Idol’ and performed a funny parody of themselves. During the show, the MCs handed the boys mops instead of standing mics. SHINee members were surprised but soon they started to use them and still managed to make it cool.

After the perfect performance, SHINee members told each other, “I think we can pull this dance off with mops.”

Davichi achieves ‘triple crowns’ on music charts with three songs

The duo of Davichi continues to captivate music fans’ hearts with their new sounds.

Davichi’s latest track “Be Warmed”, which was released on April 1st, has swept various real-time music charts, topping MelOn, Mnet, Bugs, Soribada, Naver Music and Daum Music. 

The group achieved ‘triple crowns’ on music charts with three different songs that they have released in just one month including “Turtle” and “Just The Two Of Us”. Both song dominated the charts upon release, and are still currently ranking high on various charts.
