f(x) celebrates their triple crown win with a small party

In celebration of their first ever ‘triple crown’ win, the ladies of f(x) recently updated their Me2day with a special photo featuring the “Inkigayo” PD.

On May 22nd, Victoria wrote, “Everyone, f(x) has finally won a triple crown! Thank you so much to the PD and staff members of ‘Inkigayo.’ Thank you also to Leeteuk and Heechul oppa for coming to support us.”

She continued, “We promise to not lose our rookie mindset and to work harder to show a better image of ourselves. We would like to thank all of you the most. Thank you.”

Netizens commented back, “You have to continue winning, please win again next week!”, and “Grand slam is next after the triple crown.”

SBS’s “Kiss & Cry” finally premieres!

On May 22nd, SBS’s “Kiss & Cry” aired its pilot episode, which featured 10 top stars taking part in Korea’s first ever skating reality program.

“Kiss & Cry” might have been too ambitious, or maybe it’s because the two-month training period was too short to try and master the sport, as viewers thought that the show failed to live up to its expectations.

Lee Ah Hyun was the first up and took to the stage with her daughter. Unfortunately, she wasn’t able to receive an adequate score due to her lack of skill. Through tears, she commented, “I was personally going through a difficult time in my life, and without ‘Kiss & Cry’, I’m not sure I would’ve been able to overcome it. I wanted to show my daughter what I was capable of.”

f(x)’s Krystal performed “Tango” and showed off a variety of tricks (like a spiral with a chair) which stunned Kim Yuna and the judges. TVXQ’s Yunho garnered the most points with a total of 35.3 thanks to his display of complex spins and jumps. He also earned a favorable review from speed skater Lee Kyu Hyuk.

Unfortunately for IU, Seo Ji Suk, Son Dambi and the rest of the cast, they failed to impress their audience. Viewers thought that IU didn’t show much other than singing her song, “Good Day”, for a few minutes on the ice. Judge Go Sung Hee coldly remarked, “It was nice listening to your song.”

After the broadcast, netizens commented, “All of the skills of the contestants failed to live up to expectations”, “They need a gimmick other than Kim Yuna”, and “There was nothing much to watch.”

4minute reveals who has the prettiest bare face in the group

On May 22nd, the reporters of MBC’s “Section TV” visited the set of 4minute’s latest endorsement photoshoot, and interviewed the girls on their looks and image.

Since the endorsement was for a makeup brand, the reporters were inspired to ask: “Out of all the members of 4minute, who do you think has the prettiest bare face?” Unanimously, the members all chose leader Jihyun, and reasoned that she had healthy skin that shined even without makeup.

HyunA added, “Jihyun looks better without makeup, actually. She was born with nice skin so she doesn’t even need isolating skin care.”

As this was the girls’ first makeup endorsement since their debut, they weren’t able to hide their excitement. “Our CEO was both surprised and glad that we landed the deal since he thought that we don’t have that kind of innocent, sweet image that the brands usually require.”

When asked to choose a member that pays the most attention to the way they look, HyunA confidently chose herself before the other members had a chance to answer.

f(x) wins Inkigayo Mutizen triple crown + other performances

SBS’s Inkigayo is back once again, and this week’s show was full of amazing and fun performances from the top participating K-pop artists!

The ‘Take 7‘ nominees for this week’s show were SISTAR19 (“Ma Boy“), f(x) (“Pinocchio“), Jay Park (“Abandoned“), Heo Young Saeng (“Let It Go“), After School (“Shampoo“), CNBLUE(“Love Girl“), and 2NE1 (“Lonely“). 2NE1 did not perform today.

Having won for the past two weeks, the Mutizen winner for this week was announced to be f(x), as they completed their triple crown! After going winless prior to their ‘Pinocchio’ promotions, the girls have now clinched triple crowns on both M! Countdown and Inkigayo, and have won Music Bank K-Chart twice as well!

Congratulations to f(x)!

Others who performed included Turtles, B1A4, Untouchable, 5dolls, INFINITE, and Lim Jeong Hee.

f(x) promotes safe driving with the “Traffic Safety Song” on Inkigayo

f(x) has received the baton for the “Traffic Safety Song,” a collaborative campaign between SBS’s “Inkigayo” and the Korean Transporation Safety Authority in promotion of safe driving and environment protection.

The girls showed much determination in delivering the meaningful message of the campaign by coming up with their own choreography for the song, so check out their music video below!

Inkigayo f(x) achieved Triple Crown screams of happiness 'kyaaa!'

f(x) for the 4th week of May were crowned the Mutizen song and had achieved achieved the Triple Crown.

The 22nd broadcast of SBS 'Inkigayo' featured the appearance of f(x) who sang their first Album title song Pinocchio. For 3 consecutive weeks f(x) recieven mutizen awards and won triple crown, achieving the honor.

When announced as Mutizen awards winner Victoria showed a bright grateful smile and expressed her thanks. Finally Sulli said delighted “thank you fans”

Meanwhile, Inkigayo featured turtle, B1A4, untouchable, Five Dolls, Jewelry, A Pink, Baek Ji Young, Beast, Jay, SISTAR 19, Heo Young Saeng, Infinite, Lim Jeong Hee, After School, f(x), and CN Blue and starred.

KARA "We will comeback and bring great performances"

Finally after 4 months, KARA will come back and perform on stage in Korea. At 6:30pm on May 28 KARA will officially perform at the Dream Concert. Management Company has said that KARA is very concerned about what should be performed to bring a perfect performance as a gift to fans for always believing in and supporting the group with an unchanged heart during the past.

A manager of DSP revealed "About the song to sing on that day, then the costumes and choreography, the members control every single thing themselves. Just as the sentence "after the rain, the ground harden," after the incident, the members are always worried, concern and nervous about what they should do to be able to show people the more mature, thoughtful side of them."

Up until now, it's known for sure that KARA will sing Jumping, they are still having further discussion with the dancers about the other song.

After comeback stage at the Dream Concert, on June 11 KARA will have a fan meeting held at Jamsil Stadium. This is not merely a normal fan meeting, but KARA is planning to make it as a mini concert and will perform several songs.

Hara is currently busy with City Hunter, while Gyuri is still following her schedule as a radio DJ.

Although KARA has just begun working again but the group is expected to have new album coming out in the second half of the year. After releasing a new single in Japan in late June, DSP plans for KARA to have domestic activities and release new song in the fall. Currently they are carefully choosing the new songs.
