T-ara to perform with Taiwanese girl group Dream Girls



T-ara will be having a special performance with Taiwanese girl group, Dream Girls.

According to Mnet on April 24th, T-ara will have a joint with the Taiwanese girl group Dream Girls for the ‘M Countdown Nihao-Taiwan’ at the Taipei Arena in Taiwan.

In celebration of the global festival between Korean and Taiwan, T-ara will perform their representative song “Bo Peep Bo Peep”, while the Taiwanese version of the song will be introduced by the Dream Girls.

Meanwhile, new artists will also prepare unique performances to capture Taiwanese fans. Tastywill recreate Taiwanese group Lollipop F’s song while Dal Shabet will perform Taiwanese girl group S.H.E’s song “Super Star.”

TVXQ’s Changmin shows off the ping pong table he requested from SM Japan


TVXQ‘s Changmin showed the level of authority that comes with being a veteran artist within an agency like SM Entertainment.
On the April 23rd broadcast of KBS 2TV‘s ‘Our Neighborhood Arts and Physical Education‘, Changmin unveiled the inside of SM Japan‘s practice room as he trained for the ping pong tournament on the show.
Changmin was seen practicing with his manager on the grand ping pong table, and he revealed how the ping pong table got there in the first place, sharing, “I sent a request to the SM Japan representatives to buy a ping pong table. This is something that the hoobaes can’t even dream of doing. It’s because I’m a ten-year veteran.”
‘Our Neighborhood Arts and Physical Education’ also ranked #1 in viewer ratings in its time slot this week.

‘Mandate of Heaven’ reveals still cuts from the first meeting between Song Ji Hyo and Lee Dong Wook’s characters


Song Ji Hyo and Lee Dong Wook are going back in time for their new KBS 2TV historical drama ‘Mandate of Heaven‘, which unveiled still cuts of the characters meeting for the first time.
The newly released still cuts give viewers a preview of the first meeting of Choi Won (Lee Dong Wook) and Hong Da In (Song Ji Hyo). The characters who are presumably soul mates meet by fate in a library and get off to a bickering start.
A representative commented, “Lee Dong Wook and Song Ji Hyo who play the role of Choi Won and Hong Da In, respectively, are both friends of the same age in real life as well so they’re having a good time while filming. The comfortable atmosphere on set adds to the drama and will show even better quality scenes to viewers.”
‘Mandate of Heaven’ will premiere on the 24th at 10 PM KST!

T-ara N4 to first reveal drama version MV teaser in Taiwan


T-ara N4 will be releasing their drama version MV teaser at the ‘M! Countdown‘ special in Taiwan.
Their label recently revealed, “‘M! Countdown’ strongly requested T-ara N4′s ‘Countryside Life‘ stage in Taiwan, but we couldn’t do it because it did not match with our music release schedule. Instead, we decided to release the teaser for the drama version of the music video through the program.
T-ara will be working with the director behind Psy‘s “Gangnam Style” and “Gentleman” music videos, Jo Soo Hyun. The subunit consisting of members JiyeonEunjungHyomin, and Areumrecently filmed their music video for four days and three nights. The music video will feature the girls moving up from the ‘countryside’ of Korea to Seoul. A surprise guest will also make a cameo in the music video, further leaving fans anticipating their debut.

Over 140 fans pass out at Super Junior’s ‘Super Show 5′ in Brazil


Super Junior performed in front of 8,000 Brazilian fans at ‘Super Show 5‘ in Sao Paulo.
It’s the first time a Korean artist held a solo concert in Brazil, and the boys had sold out all 8,000 seats. They performed a total of 24 songs, including “Twins (Knock Out)“, “Sorry Sorry“, “Bonamana“, “Mr. Simple“, and “Sexy, Free & Single“. They showcased their trademark brightness and high performance throughout the entire concert, and even sang Brazilian singer Michel Telo‘s “Ai Se Eu Te Pego“.
Their fans responded so passionately to their rehearsed Portuguese and high quality stages that it has over 140 fans either passed out during the concert or had to be wheeled out of the venue. The on-site medical staff were surprised at this high number, and revealed that it was the first time they had such an experience.
Super Junior said, “We flew 25 hours for our South American tour. We thought it was far, but when we stand on stage, we realize it’s actually very close. When we debuted, we couldn’t even dream that we’d have a solo concert in Brazil, and we thank you for letting us keep setting new paths.
The boys will be performing in Argentina tonight, in Chile on April 25, and they will wrap up their South American tour in Peru on April 27.

4Minute releases new set of teaser photos



After revealing the individual teaser videos of members, 4Minute continues to tease with a set of concept photos for their upcoming album.

Davichi's Haeri clarifies relationship with Minkyung



Davichi's Lee Haeri clarified the rumor addressing the bad relationship between Kang Minkyung and herself.

In the broadcast of KBS talk show 'Hello', Lee Haeri said,"We really have a good relationship".

She also added,"When we first released the first album, there were rumours saying that the two of us weren't close to each other, and our relationship was just about work". Then MC Lee Young Ja asked,"The relationship between you two is really bad?" and MC Shin Dong Yup also joked,"That is much better!", brought laughter to everyone.

Lee Haeri said,"Our relationship is really good.We don't show much intimate affection to each other because we're close like a family"

10 idol groups to fill in Shindong’s post on ‘ShimShimTaPa’



With Shindong being away for Super Junior’s tour in South America, a great number of different K-Pop stars will be filling his DJ spot on MBC FM’s ‘ShimShimTaPa’.

MBC recently announced the lineup of special idol DJs that will substitute for Shindong. For 10 days starting from April 22, B1A4, TEEN TOP, Girl’s Day, U-Kiss, Wonder Girls, BTOB,ZE:A, MBLAQ and Jewelry will be appearing as special DJs, and hold an event called ‘2013 ShimShimTaPa KPOP Festival’.

Each group will be hosting the radio show for one day, and such an event was never held before. They will be hosting the show for Super Junior’s Shindong, who had to leave his chair for a while due to Super Junior’s Super Show in South America.

SHINee releases highlight medley for ‘Why So Serious?’ album



SHINee is on its way to making a comeback and has just released the a highlight medley for its comeback album, ‘Why So Serious? – The Misconceptions of Me’.

The group will be releasing the Chapter 2 of their third regular album online on April 26th, while the offline release will be on the 29th.

Jihyun asks “What’s Your Name” in new 4minute’s teaser



After revealing HyunAGayoonSohyun and Jiyoon’s music video teasers, 4Minute has now revealed Jihyun’s teaser.

4minute is working with K-Pop hit makers Brave Brothers for the first time with their new song “What’s Your Name?” which will be in the “fantasy hip-hop” genre. The song is drawing attention with the unique concepts of members released previously. 

The group’s 4th mini album was planned to be released on April 25, but it will be released on April 26 in order to properly incorporate the additional filming for music video.
