Jiyeon apologizes for broadcast mistake on ‘Music Core’

Through Twitter, T-ara’s Jiyeon apologized for her broadcast mistake during MBC’s ‘Music Core‘.

On June 25th, Jiyeon tweeted, “There was a sound mistake during Music Core, I’m really sorry.” She added, “The mic turned on while I was practicing my next lines. I will be more careful next time.”

Meanwhile, during the broadcast of ‘Music Core’, Jiyeon’s voice suddenly came on during FT Island’s goodbye stage – causing the broadcast accident. The phrase, “You can’t forget this person when talking about Hallyu…” was heard, which happened to be the MC’s script to introduce the next singer,Kim Hyun Joong.

However, the production crew of ‘Music Core’ carried on without a word of apology during the show, upsetting the viewers. Thinking ahead, Jiyeon sent her message of apology before the production crew.

T-ara members visit Hyomin at the set of ‘Gisaeng Spirit’

T-ara members surprised Hyomin by visiting the ‘Gisaeng Spirit‘ set to encourage her for her first appearance in a movie.

On June 24th, T-ara members visited the Seoul Gangnam studio of ‘Gisaeng Spirit’ during the poster filming set, as Hyomin, Han Eunjung, and Lee Hyeong Seok greeted them with surprised expressions.

Eunjung, who is the main character in the currently screening movie, ‘White: Cursed Melody‘, stood out in the middle as she encouraged Hyomin with a warm expression.

At the filming set, a scary atmosphere was created with scattered blood and spooky music, but T-ara’s visit transformed the stars’ serious expressions into laughter.

T-ara’s Hyomin gave bright hope as she stated, “To be honest, I hope this movie is better than ‘White: Cursed Melody’. This is my first time in a horror movie, so I learned a lot from Eunjung.”

‘Gisaeng Spirit’ is a story of a child who died wrongfully and became a spirit in a different person’s body, who commits murder. The movie will be released in August.

Clothing company “ASK” seeks $400,000 in damages from DSP Media & KARA

Citing that the five-member group KARA broke their contract by “damaging the company’s brand image by disrupting society”, clothing brand ASK revealed on the 24th that they had decided to seek 445 million won (around $400,000 USD) in damages from KARA’s parent company, DSP Media.

“The reason why we seek celebrity endorsements is to give off a positive image,” said in a statement by Real Company, the parent company behind ASK.

Although KARA was scheduled to have six rounds of photo shoots with the company, they were only able to shoot only once because of the groups lawsuit against DSP Media.

“We found ourselves as a brand using a divided girl group as our models. We suffered a lot of damage since it was too late to start searching for another model,” Real Company stated.

ASK had struck a deal valued at about 380 million won (around $360,000 USD) in June last year, but was forced to cancel it this April amidst the controversy surrounding KARA’s lawsuit.

"4Minute's Jeon Jiyoon who used to be shy, changed a lot"

Youngji is a skilled vocalist who is active as a vocal trainer for singers. BEAST and even 4minute have entered the music industry as talented idols because of her training.

Youngji explains, "I can't make people who can't sing sing. I only teach them methods. It's not that they magically become great at singing after I teach them. My role is to help them bring out what they already have and show them shortcuts."

"Instead of specifically trying to teach something with a song, I say, 'I think this song matches well with you, so try listening to it and practice it.' If they improve by practicing, I recommend different songs. Instead of directly developing their vocals, I try to help them change.

Youngji, who was trained by BMK and Ji Youngseon says, "If a person without experience tries to teach idols, I think they will fight a lot. I have a lot of these experiences. If I was scared of my teacher or if the teacher was boring, there were times when I did not go to my lessons. There were times when I worked hard, and also times when I regretted things. Your vocals will not improve if you are taught by just anyone."

When asked which idol she taught changed the most, Youngji answered with 4minute's Jeon Jiyoon. "She is a person who has changed a lot. Although she is overflowing with charisma on stage now, she was actually a very good-natured and timid girl," Youngji revealed.

"In order to change her, I would intentionally make her practice sexy songs by the Pussycat Dolls. I taught her until she transformed, but even when I saw her myself later on, she really was sexy."

"Once a week, we would meet and talk for a long time about many things. That was because I was trying to change her heart, not improve her singing. She has a strong will and she works very hard."

T-ara's Soyeon "Hello Retro, good-bye latest trends"

T-ara have started their promotions of "RolyPoly".

On 24th June, Soyeon tweeted "RolyPoly~" on her Twitter with two selfca she took.

On the 24th June afternoon, finally T-ara's "RolyPoly" teaser has been revealed. By accommodating when the teaser released, Soyeon tweeted some words and posted pictures.

Soyeon took pictures with her unique expressions. In the pictures Soyeon wore ordinary clothes just like a student, exposing the retro looks and showing different charms in "RolyPoly".

Shinsadong Tiger and Choi Kyusung composed "RolyPoly" where as they combined in the 1980's disco music elements to attract a wider range of audience, such as people in their 20s-50s.

T-ara's 10 minute long "Roly Poly" mini drama to be revealed on the 29th

T-ara's new retro song "RolyPoly" and it's music video will be in the form of a mini-drama.

On the 25th, Core Contents Media revealed that, "We took a concept of a girls' high school from the olden days and with the director Cha Euntaek have made it into a 10-minute music video mini-drama."

The music video is about the girls' curiosity from changing from children to adults and wanting to experience the world that adults experience.

The "young idol" T-ara members Eunjung, Jiyeon, and Hyomin were able to showcase their acting and joined by the stars from back in the day, Jeon Youngrok and Im Yejin to create a realistic setting. T-ara is planning on making parents feel nostalgic about their schooldays while also approaching younger audiences with a fresh music sound.

T-ara's agency also said, "More information on the music video and 'RolyPoly' will be released later, please show a lot of interest to the mini-drama."

"RolyPoly" was done by Shinsadong Tiger and Choi Kyusung and was inspired by the discos done in the 1980s. The sound from the disco era was mixed with modern musical elements for the track.

Meanwhile, T-ara revealed their teaser for "RolyPoly" on the 24th and will reveal the music video on the 29th through Melon. T-ara will make their comeback on July 1st.

T-ara made a surprise visit at Hyomin's "Gisaeng Ryung" poster shoot

To celebrate Hyomin first challenge in acting movie, T-ara planned a surpise for Hyomin.

On the June 24 T-ara went to Nonhyeon-dong a place in Seoul where Hyomin is shooting for the poster shots for the movie "Gisaeng Ryung".

T-ara went to surprise her and celebrate with her on the first challenge in acting in a movie. T-ara brought along cakes and sang the congratulation song for "Gisaeng Ryung" and they brought much atmosphere at the studio.

T-ara said:,"Although it's rude to appear suddenly while there's a photoshoot going on, but this must be congratulated, so that's why we came," showing a deep friendship among T-ara.

A question was raised by someone to Eunjung saying: "As a senior on horror acting, what advice can you give to Hyomin?" Eunjung shown a sense of trust by saying, "There are no advices to give her. We are best friends already, and I believe that this movie will be a success!"

When T-ara members left the studio, Hyomin expressed, "It's really a surprise! But because of schedules, they could only stay a short while. I'm very thankful of them."

"Gisaeng Ryung" is a movie about a child whom died wrongfully and seeks revenge by entering a person body and starts killing people. This movie is set to be release in August.

In addition, T-ara will be starting to promote their newest hit single "RolyPoly" from 1st July onwards.
