SHINee's Jonghyun wins prize drawing at the 'SMTOWN Live After Party'

SHINee's Jonghyun expressed his surprise about winning the prize drawing at the 'SMTOWN Live After Party'.

Artists from SM Entertainment gathered for the 'SMTOWN Live World Tour IV' concert in Seoul on August 15, and it looks like they held a celebration afterwards. Jonghyun posted to Twitter on the 16th, "Hul, I got picked in the drawing. This is my first time ever being picked. After finishing the tour, I'm going to get a consultation."

He also shared a photo of his prize, a "Consultation coupon for artist's vacation." 

Fans commented, "Daebak, hope you have a good break," "Please use your time well and have a fulfilling vacation," "Congratulations," and more.

'EXO 90:2014' releases full version of EXO-K's voice messages

One way that idol groups communicated with fans back in the '90s was through voice messages that were able to be heard when a certain phone number is dialed. EXO-K followed in the footsteps of H.O.T by creating their own voice messages for EXO-L on 'EXO 90:2014'!

Although this was shown in the show, it seems some of what they said were cut out perhaps due to time constraints, so Mnet has gone ahead to release the full version.

EXO-K's voice messages are as follows:

Sehun: "I am always thankful. I miss you. I love you."

Kai: "It's my first time leaving a voice message like this. Since it's my first time, I am very nervous, but I think it's very good. If the opportunity comes in the future, I will leave a lot [of voice messages], so please listen to them. I love you."

Chanyeol: "Okay, sleep tight, and I love you!"

Baekhyun: "The monsoon has begun. Since the rainy season has begun, remember to take your umbrella with you when you go out. Also, a heat wave is expected to hit next week... Please eat a lot of samgyetang [Korean ginseng chicken soup] and take care of your health a lot."

D.O.: "Drink a lot of water... Go to sleep."

Suho: "Take care of your health. I love you."

'EXO 90:2014' 1st episode

The first episode of 'EXO 90:2014' featured H.O.T.

The show is called 'EXO 90:2014' and is produced by Mnet, with the concept of connecting the big seniors in the music industry from the 90s with EXO in order to make some of the past hit songs come to light once again as well as to revive its cultural and classic. 

In particular, EXO will be the main characters in the '2014 version' of the music videos of these past hit songs which will be premiered throughout the show. The boys are expected to showcase more of their hidden charms that fans have never seen before.

EXO's Chanyeol remakes H.O.T's 'Hope'

EXO has a new show entitled 'EXO 90:2014' which features remake of 90's music videos.

The first EXO member who starred in a remake was Chanyeol. He remade H.O.T's 'Hope.' The remake also featured S.M.ROOKIE’s Jaehyun and Yuta.

EXO to hold concerts in Japan

EXO will be having their concert tour in Japan from November to December in three different locations.

'EXO From EXO Planet #1 - The Lost Planet tour to Japan' will be happening at the Yoyogi National Gymnasium from November 11 to 13. It will be followed at the Osaka-jo Hall from November 18 to 20 and the last will be on December 22-24 at the Marine Messe Fukuoka.

T-ARA teases for their September comeback

On August 14th, T-ARA uploaded the photo above on their official Facebook.

The photo is captioned with "We’re recording now!!!! >< Can you guess the members’ names in this picture~~~? "

On August 6th, an official from Core Contents Media revealed that T-ARA is currently recording a new song and is planning to make their comeback in September.

The 'SMTOWN Live In Seoul' family concert took place on August 15 at the Sangam World Cup Stadium!  Many artists like Kangta, BoA, TVXQ, Super Junior, Super Junior-M's Zhoumi and Henry, Girls' Generation, SHINee, f(x), EXO, Zhang Li Yin, Red Velvet, J-Min, and more performed, with special guest appearance by former label mate, Fly to the Sky.

This was also the first big concert appearance by Leeteuk since he was discharged from the military, so the Super Junior members yelled, "The real thing is here," at the sight of leader, Leeteuk, who joked to Eunhyuk, the temporary leader, "You get out."

After grabbing the mic, Leeteuk said, "It's been a while since I last greeted you.  I am Super Junior's leader, Leeteuk.  I will return to the position of a rookie."  After yelling in a high tone, "It's been two years since I greeted you.  I really wanted to greet you.  We are Super Junior," he shed tears.

EXO dropped their first remake MV from the '90s for their new show, 'EXO 90:2014.'Chanyeol was the first member to star in a remake MV and he took on H.O.T's "Light," with appearances by S.M.ROOKIES' Jaehyun and Yuta!

In addition, on the episode, S.M.ROOKIES did a charismatic performance of H.O.T's "I Yah" with an intense red background.  You can check out that and the making of the MV below.

BoA snaps a picture with Pope Francis after their luncheon

As previously reported, talented Korean singer BoA, as well as twenty other young leaders all over Asia, shared a luncheon with Pope Francis himself at a Catholic university in Daejeon on August 15. She was given this great opportunity as the honorary ambassador of 'Asia Youth Day.'

Afterwards, they snapped a sweet picture to freeze the moment in time.  Later this day, she stood on stage for the 'SM Town Live World Tour' and said, "Today was deeply meaningful for me.  I was told to relay courage and hope through song to everybody from hereon."

Super Junior's comeback date rumored to be September 1

According to an exclusive by Oh My News, it's rumored that Super Junior have set their comeback date for September 1!

Music insiders apparently told the news outlet that Super Junior are set to make a comeback with their 7th full-length album on September 1. The upcoming 7th full-length album is said to contain around 10 tracks.

Eunhyuk's recent statement also adds credibility regarding the comeback date being quite near, as he shared at the 'SMTOWN Live World Tour IV' concert in Seoul, "We completed filming for the MV and [album] jacket recently... We are practicing hard as our comeback approaches soon."

When contacted for a response, SM Entertainment was still vague, but a bit more specific than last time, as they said to MyDaily on the 16th, "Super Junior is preparing to make a comeback around the end of August or beginning of September. Please look forward to it."

EXO's D.O brings laughs with his questions about H.O.T's 'DNA necklace' on 'EXO 90:2014'

H.O.T's Kangta walked down memory lane with some of his group's merchandise, but what especially grabbed EXO's interest was his 'DNA necklace' on the premiere of 'EXO 90:2014'!

Kangta showed off his 'DNA necklace' from back in the '90s, as he explained, "Our members' DNA was extracted... We got a sample of our blood and our DNA was extracted, and it was used in the necklaces," showing the silver emblem with a DNA strand shape embossed on it.

While the other EXO members showed their awe at the unique idea, understanding what Kangta meant, D.O looked on bug-eyed with a bewildered expression.

D.O. blurted out with big eyes, "So you put your blood inside that necklace?" This prompted Kai to hilariously slap D.O on the arm as he explained, "No, they put the shape [of the DNA]." 

While the other members burst into laughter over his 4D question, which suggested that the H.O.T members put blood inside every necklace produced, D.O. then followed up with another question, still obviously very curious and baffled.

Curious to understand more about the science of this, D.O once again blurted, "Is the shape of the DNA different for each person?" leaving everyone to freeze in their spot, realizing they were still stuck on the subject of DNA necklaces. Sehun responded, "Is this science class?", and MC Jun Hyun Moo also didn't help as he answered, "I'm not a biologist so I wouldn't know," continuing the laughs.

Song Hye Kyo and Kang Dong Won are a chic visual couple in B-cuts for 'Vogue Korea'

It's a shame that Song Hye Kyo and Kang Dong Won denied dating rumors because they make a good looking couple as evidenced by their B-cuts (photos not chosen for print) from their 'Vogue Korea' pictorial!

Song Hye Kyo took on an Audrey Hepburn-esque look, drawing all eyes with her stand-alone charisma and beauty, while Kang Dong Won looked superbly handsome in his suit. They also donned matching sunglasses to perfect the couple concept with the black-and-white pictorial giving off a vintage vibe.

Their A-cuts and interview will be revealed a bit later on through 'Vogue Korea's September issue! Their upcoming movie 'My Brilliant Life' ('My Palpitating Life') is also set to premiere on September 3.

SM Entertainment has revealed behind-the-scenes photos from the first stop of the 'SMTOWN Live World Tour IV'!

Kangta, BoA, TVXQ, Super Junior, Girls' Generation, SHINee, f(x), EXO, Red Velvet,J-Min, and Zhang Li Yin performed at the 'SMTOWN Live World Tour IV' concert held at Seoul World Cup Stadium on August 15. The same lineup is also set for concerts in China and Japan this August.
