Davichi’s “Do You Not Know” beats out SISTAR19 on music charts

Davichi beat out fellow female duo SISTAR19 on weekly music charts with their new single for the ‘IRIS 2‘ OST, ”Do You Not Know“.

Davichi’s “Do You Not Know” ranked #1 on Soribada‘s weekly chart for the second week in a row. SISTAR19′s “Gone Not Around Any Longer” took the #2 spot, while Rainbow‘s “Tell Me Tell Me” came in at 3rd.

Other OSTs have also been dominating music charts; the ‘Queen of Ambition‘ OST “I Love You I Hate You” ranked in at 4th, while ‘Wind Blows In Winter‘ OST “Gray Paper” is 6th.

A Soribada representative revealed, “‘Do You Not Know’ and drama OSTs are both climbing up the chart, and SISTAR19 and Huh Gak‘s songs are consistently gaining popularity.”

Congrats, Davichi!

Super Junior’s Donghae gets classy for ‘Cosmopolitan’

Super Junior‘s Donghae got a little classy for the March edition of Cosmopolitan.

Donghae played the part of a charming, romantic boyfriend. His clean-cut navy suit, bow-tie, and the female model’s white dress make the pictorial look like a wedding shoot, but fans can be rest assured that it’s just a concept for the fashion magazine.

The Super Junior member seems to be happy with the shots as he let his Twitter followers know:

The full pictorial will be featured in the March issue of Cosmopolitan. What do you think of Donghae’s style?

2PM’s ‘Legend of 2PM’ dominates Japanese weekly charts

2PM‘s Japanese album ‘Legend of 2PM‘ is continuing to see success as it keeps on climbing to the top of charts even a week after release.

After ranking #1 on the Oricon charts as well as on HMV and Tower Records‘ daily charts, the boys have come out on top once again as the reigning ‘beast idols’ on Oricon, HMV, and Tower Records‘ weekly charts!

Hearing the good news, 2PM stated, “We are extremely happy to share the good news of our ranking #1 on the Oricon, HMV, and Tower Records’ weekly charts, and we’d like to thank our fans for always supporting us.”

Congrats 2PM!

Super Junior’s Kangin will couple up with Jo Jung Chi on ‘We Got Married’?!

Kangin and his fans were left doing a double take after seeing an article that stated that Kangin and Jo Jung Chi may possibly be the new couple on ‘We Got Married‘!

After the news that Julien Kang and Yoon Se Ah would be leaving the show and that Jung In and Jo Jung Chi will be taking their place, a news media accidentally made a mistake on Jung In’s name and reported that Jo Jung Chi will be joining the show with Kangin, instead of his girlfriend.
The typo (‘KANG In’ instead of ‘JUNG In’) had everyone initially confused about the show’s potential first ever male-male couple, and eventually drew laughs as they realized the mix-up. It even drew Kangin’s attention as he responded to the sudden news on Twitter, writing, “I’m going to be on ‘We Got Married’ again? Kekeke. Jung Chi hyung, Jung In noona, sorry. Kekekeke“, while also sharing a picture of the screen cap of the article.

The idol was previously on the show with actress Lee Yoon Ji, and it looks like he doesn’t seem to be too against going on the show again. Who would you pair him up with if he were to get his run on the show once more?

Is there a new love line in the making between Lee Dong Wook and Song Ji Hyo?

Lee Dong Wook, and Song Ji Hyo, who showed off great teamwork as part of the same team on ‘Running Man‘ on this past weekend’s episode, may soon find themselves embroiled in on-screen romance!

The two along with actress Yoon Jin Yi are in the finals stages of being cast for upcoming historical genre medical drama, ‘Mandate of Heaven‘.

Lee Dong Wook, once confirmed, will be playing the lead character, a Joseon dynasty doctor who is on the run after having been framed. He struggles to find the cure to save his daughter from an incurable disease. His partner to be there for him every step of the way will be none other than actress Song Ji Hyo, the female doctor assisting him. The two will be Yoon Jin Yi, who is in consideration to play the role of a daughter of the head of thieves.

Although the exact details of the synopsis haven’t been revealed, it’s suspected that the lead characters Lee Dong Wook and Song Ji Hyo will become the new love line viewers will want to watch out for! However, with Yoon Jin Yi also mentioned, it may be that we might even see a love triangle in the making.

As always, all sides have expressed that they have been approached and are looking at things optimistically but have not yet confirmed (which usually means that we will be seeing the three actors on the show!)

The drama ‘Mandate of Heaven’ will start airing mid-April after ‘Iris 2‘.

Hyomin writes a letter to fans

Hyomin attempted her best at writing a letter to her fans which was shared on T-ara‘s official me2day.

The letter was sweet enough to begin with, but she added her own quirkiness to it – not that she had any intention to. She wrote the letter on the way to the airport to start her filming for her movie ‘Jinx‘, and she took note that the car was shaking incredibly badly. She tried to be careful while writing her letter, but in the end the car took her by absolutely surprise at one point, causing her to jerk her pen violently when she was almost done. She complained cutely that the car was almost like a massage chair, and pouted as best as she could through words on paper.

She also regretfully admitted that she had to buy the other members delicious food because she could not participate in the “Bunny Stylepromotions. Her full letter reads,
A hand letter that I’m writing to Queens ♥
Everyone, it’s been a while…. It’s your Hyomin~
I’m on my way to the airport… the car is shaking a lot.. This is a hard level… I’m going to be in Fukuoka until mid March to film my movie from today..! The movie… I’m going to finish it in a cool manner!!
You have to be healthy while I’m not here.. Even if you miss me, bear it for a bit… Heh. Also! Please show us a lot of support for the Japanese “Bunny Style” promotions that will start on the 20th. I can’t participate in the promotions this time around, so the members have to do my part too… For those members, I have to work even~ harder… And I also have to buy them delicious food… Hehe kekeke
Anyway! Everyone, wait for just a little bit! We’re going to comeback after doing well ^^* And… This is a secret, but.. There’s also going to be good news(?) when we come back~ hehehe… You’re curious, right? Hehehe. -> Gasp.. The car is shaking too much… Ah… T^T
I guess this is the limit. The car is almost like a massage chair… Everyone!! I’m going go to now… Even though it’s disappointing.. Until we see each other again… Be happy ^_^♥
She also seems to be hinting at an upcoming Korean comeback in the letter, are you excited?

Super Junior’s Siwon & JYJ’s Junsu ranked as richest idols by ‘Good Morning’

Super Junior‘s Siwon has been ranked as the wealthiest idol.

On February 18, SBS‘ ‘Good Morning‘ gathered the wealthiest idols in the industry to rank them in order.
Siwon earned the top spot and is known for his wealth from being a Super Junior member, as well as his family background. On MBC‘s ‘Radio Star‘, Leeteuk had shared, “Siwon is the number one in wealth out of all the idols. When something happens to Super Junior members, Siwon always says, ‘I’ll take care of it‘.” He also revealed on ‘Strong Heart,’ “Siwon ranked first in Super Junior’s earnings in 2011. Since he shoots many CFs in Thailand, China, and Taiwan, we can’t catch up to him.”

Then Eunhyuk added, “No matter how much we earn, it’s less than how much Siwon already has.”
Siwon was followed by JYJ‘s Junsu in second, KARA‘s Hara in third, BoA in fourth, and Big Bang‘s G-Dragon in fifth place.

Comeback Special: SHINee’s Most Magical Dances

Long-time SHINee fans have probably seen more than a few of their famous “magic dances”. It all started back in the early days, when someone noticed that SHINee’s choreography for “Replay” could be matched up to a myriad of other songs- even some that you wouldn’t expect. In honor of their upcoming “Dream Girl” comeback, let’s take a look at some of SHINee’s most magical dances, and how surprisingly well they match up with songs from other artists.

Dance: “Replay
Song: Lee Hyori‘s “U Go Girl

We really couldn’t do a list of SHINee’s magical dances without including “U Go Girl”- the original magic dance. This one is so well known, that SHINee even performed it on ‘Weekly Idol‘!

Dance: “Love Like Oxygen
Song: Far East Movement‘s “Like a G6

“Love Like Oxygen” is one of SHINee’s less popular singles, so there aren’t a whole lot of magic dance videos for it, but this video for “Like a G6″ really syncs up great.

Dance: “Replay
Song: “Pokemon Theme Song

This is an example of two things that should not work together, but they do anyway.

Dance: “Lucifer
Song: Far East Movement‘s ”Like a G6

Maybe “Like a G6″ is a magic song that just works with all dances, because it fits with Lucifer just as well as it does with “Love Like Oxygen”.

Dance: “Sherlock
Song: Adele‘s “Set Fire to the Rain

I would have never imagined that SHINee’s powerful Sherlock choreography would match a sad, melodic ballad, but it is a perfect match for Adele’s “Set Fire to the Rain”! Key especially dressed for the occasion in their practice video with his flame-patterned pants.

Dance: “Lucifer
Song: Nikki Minaj‘s “Starships

“Starships” is such a fun, spunky song that you wouldn’t think it would match the intense choreography of “Lucifer”- yet, somehow, the two mesh so perfectly that they seem almost made for each other.

Dance: “Replay
Song: B.A.P‘s “Warrior

[Note: sound doesn't start until 0:10] This magic dance video has the fewest views of any on this list, but I had to include it because I could not believe how well the dances matched up- from Minho almost throwing a punch when Zelo says “punch“, to Jonghyun appearing to do the B.A.P greeting when Zelo says “What’s the name of the game? B.A.P!”, it just works in the most hilariously awesome way.

I hope that helps tide you over while you wait for “Dream Girl”! SHINee fans, what are your favorite magic dances? Let us know in the comments!
