Why did SHINee’s Key and Minho bicker with one another on ‘SHINee’s Wonderful Day’?

On MBC Music‘s ‘SHINee’s Wonderful Day‘, the members of SHINee were whisked off to different countries to enjoy a special vacation in the middle of their album preparations.

Minho who is a fan of soccer chose London, England as his destination to see more of the Premier League for himself. Key who is interested in vintage fashion also chose the fashion capital of London. Having both chosen to visit the same country, the two are said to have hilariously complained about spending even vacation time with each other, after already having spent so much time together over the past years.

After arriving in London, Key followed after Minho, to which the stoic Minho told him, “Don’t follow me,”and Key jokingly expressed his hurt feelings , “I think Minho doesn’t like me,” continuing to bicker on throughout the trip like brothers.

Hyomin attends first script reading for Japanese film ‘Jinx’

After being cast for a lead role for upcoming Japanese film ‘Jinx’, T-ara’s Hyomin flew to Japan for the film’s first script reading.

On February 10th, Hyomin header to Japan to attend her first script reading for the film with her co-stars and staff members. She returned to Korea on February 11th.

‘Jinx’ is a movie about popular Japanese director Naoto Kumazawa. In the film, Hyomin will be playing a Korean student named Ji Ho, who will act as the cupid to the main leads.

Meanwhile, Hyomin will be leaving to Japan again in late February with other T-ara members for promotion, and start shooting the film.

SHINee to hold ‘Music Spoiler’ event for third album

The boys of SHINee will be holding a special event to celebrate the release of their much-awaited third studio album.

On February 12th, SM Entertainment announced that SHINee will hold premiere event for the album release by teaming up with MelOn, titled ‘SHINee Music Spoiler’. The event will be held on the 14th in Seoul at the Olympus Hall at 5PM KST.

At the event, the group will showcase behind-the-scenes videos and production notes of its upcoming third studio album. Fans will also able to listen to all songs from the album, which will be released all over the world on February 19.

SHINee’s Minho, ZE:A’s Dongjun, DMTN’s Simon, and BTOB’s Minhyuk show no mercy during hurdles finals

SHINee‘s Minho, ZE:A‘s Dongjun, DMTN‘s Simon, and BTOB‘s Minhyuk put on one of the fiercest competition of the Idol Star Athletics Championship during the 70m hurdles race!

Minho, known for his extremely athletic abilities and competitive spirit, has a history dominating the hurdles race, and he was again the favorite to win gold. He however expressed his nervousness in competing against Simon and Dongjun, who have been his rivals since previous times. 

In the beginning of the race, Minho jumped a bit too early probably due to nerves, and his early jump caused him to land prematurely and trip over the hurdle, putting him out of the contending for a medal. His disqualification shocked everyone, including the professional commentators, who had expected Minho to win the event, and instead, underdog, rookie Minhyuk, came in to steal the show.

Host and fellow labelmate, B2ST‘s Yoseob had viewers laughing as he commented, “I never knew someone from our agency would win a gold medal.” He also asked Minhyuk to ask their CEO for a favor, and when Minhyuk simply asked their boss to use BTOB for as many opportunities as he could, Yoseob whispered, “No, you’re going to be used anyways, ask for something more.. like meat, ask for meat.” Minhyuk then asked, “Actually, could you treat all of us out to a meal?” pleasing his fellow labelmates.

Hyomin attends her first script reading for ‘Jinx’ in Japan

A few days ago, T-ara‘s Hyomin had been offered the leading role in the upcoming Japanese film, ‘Jinx‘. It has now been confirmed that the singer will indeed be the female lead of the movie.

On February 10th, Hyomin boarded a plane bound for Japan to attend her first script reading for the film with her co-stars and staff members. She returned to Korea on the 11th via Gimpo Airport.

‘Jinx’ will be directed by Naoto Kumazawa, who’s well-known for directing ‘From Me To You‘, and will revolve around a simple love story.

Hyomin will return to Japan in mid-February to focus on T-ara’s promotional activities for approximately a month and a half, and also begin filming for ‘Jinx’.

KARA reveals preview of upcoming anime ‘KARA: The Animation’

Back in December, we reported plans for a KARA anime! It looks like those plans panned out as a preview of ‘KARA: The Anime‘ was recently uploaded from the girls’ Tokyo Dome concert.

The show will depict the 5 beautiful ladies of KARA and the characters will be based on the individual personality and image of the members.

An earlier preview of the anime had been circulating for a few months, this new preview shows improved artwork and more of the action-packed story line for the anime. There are also clips of the girls recording the dialogue and posing for scenes.

After ‘KARA the Animation’ airs in Japan, it is planned to air in Korea at a later date as well.

SHINee’s Jonghyun tweets hilarious screenshots + Minho declares war

The members of SHINee have all gone home for their Lunar New Year vacation!

Jonghyun tweeted a hilarious screenshot of his text messages with the other members on February 9th, when he wished all four of them a happy new year. He tweeted, “Why won’t you answer my greetings!” along with the screenshots.

He started by texting Key, “Kibum-ah (Key’s Korean name). Are you happy? It’s New Years. Don’t eat too much good food and become ‘fat-Key’. Please answer…” Jonghyun proceeded to send to Minho, “Minho-yah. Did you get to Incheon alright? Have a great holiday and don’t get hurt playing soccer. Tell your mother and your brother that I send my good wishes. Receive lots of luck this year. You answer me too…”

To Taemin he sent, “Taemin-ah. Have a great holiday, receive lots of luck. I’ll borrow your jacket. Answer me….” And to Onew he sent, ‘Jinki-ssi (Onew’s real name). Receive lots of fortune this year. Don’t get injured this year. You always get injured! Please answer me… Leader-nim…”

After being ignored by all of the members, he then created a group with all of the members and said, “Hey members… Answer me… I’m wishing you a year of fortune.. Why won’t you accept my wishes..”

The entire conversation attracted attention from fans and netizens, bringing many laughs to the online community.

Shortly after the conversation, Minho sparked another war between himself and Jonghyun, which fans and netizens are calling “revenge” after Jonghyun held a photoshopping contest for pictures of Minho last year. Minho posted on SHINee’s me2day account, “Do you all remember? The photoshopped pictures of me that Mr. Kim Jonghyun requested last year? It’s finally time for revenge! For the fans who are waiting for ‘Dream Girl‘, please send in many photoshopped pictures of Jonghyun in a hanbok (Korean traditional clothing) to our me2day account!” along with the photo below:

Performances from the 2013 ‘StarHub TVB Golden Viva Spectacular’

Several popular idols treated their Hong Kong fans to a great Lunar New Year treat.

On February 9th, the 2013 ‘StarHub TVB Golden Viva Spectacular‘ was broadcast simultaneously in Korea, Singapore, and Hong Kong. The show was filmed on January 31st at the Seoul Student Jamsil Gymnasium.

The ‘StarHub TVB Golden Viva Spectacular’ is a star-studded show featuring top TVB comedian Wong Cho Lam as the host. Together with many famous Chinese celebrities as well as K-pop stars; SISTAR,U-KISS, Park Jung Min, Jewelry, ZE:A, and Nine Muses, the show celebrates the Lunar Chinese New Year with great live performances!

Han Ji Min wows with her svelte figure

Actress Han Ji Min confirmed that her legendary figure was still intact with a pair of behind-the-scenes cuts from a recent interview.

Dressed in a short, colorful skirt and a simple, white top, the beautiful actress looks like she’s already ready for spring!

Her agency, SM C&C, posted the pictures to her official Facebook earlier. “Photos taken when she was doing a Japanese interview for SBS‘s ‘Rooftop Prince‘!” they said. “Although it’s cold, it seems spring’s here already.”

‘Running Man’ reveals preview for Macau + Vietnam expedition

After a much-publicized filming in Southeast Asia, SBS‘s variety program ‘Running Man‘ has revealed a preview featuring next week’s multi-day expedition to Macau and Vietnam!

The adventurous preview shows the ‘Running Man’ cast members – plus guests Lee Dong Wook andHan Hye Jin – on a multi-country race, dressed up in traditional garb and enjoying the beautiful vistas.

Tourism wasn’t everything, however, and the preview also shows the cast members seeking out the clues to a mysterious ‘true sword’ that will be the final prize in the upcoming episode.

Meanwhile, this week’s episode showed the ‘Running Man’ cast members with guests Park Sung Woong, Hwang Jung Min, and 4minute‘s HyunA.

Ryeowook trolls with funny photos of Super Junior members on ‘Kiss the Radio’

On the February 9th broadcast of KBS Cool FM‘s ‘Super Junior’s Kiss the Radio‘, hosted by Super Junior‘s Ryeowook and Sungmin, there was a bit of some trolling on their fellow members.

During a musical interlude, Ryeowook burst viewers into laughter by showing embarrassing photos of his Super Junior members transforming into female celebrities including Beyonce and Girls’ Generation on his cellphone. Though we don’t see the members’ reactions, we bet after the initial surprise wore off, they laughed along with viewers.

Krystal’s high school teacher reveals how she was as a student

f(x)‘s Krystal recently attended her graduation ceremony at the Hanlim Performing Arts High Schoolin Seoul on the 7th and was honored with an achievement award. Fellow members Victoria, Amber, and Luna also came to show their support and performed a congratulatory stage.

Her teacher Kwon Soon Bae had nothing but good things to say about her student Krystal and shared,“Because she is a celebrity, I thought she would be a bit pretentious, but in school she is a very exemplary student who consistently wears her uniform and white sneakers. Soo Jung (Krystal’s real name) also comes to school with no makeup on.”

“Whenever there is an exam, the way that Krystal works hard to study as much as she can and take the test impressed me. She gets along well with her classmates as well. There are a lot of people who say Krystal is cold in the public eye, but the Krystal seen up close in the classroom is a carefree and shy student. Her handwriting is also very pretty. Krystal is student who is kind and laughs a lot when she is with her friends.”

“Krystal is a student who practices singing and acting a lot. I am proud of her.”

SHINee releases group teaser image for “Dream Girl”

SHINee is set to return to the local music scene with their much-awaited third album! After releasing their individual teaser images, another teasers have been unveiled featuring the entire group.

The group will release their new album through iTunes and various Korean music sites on February 19th featuring the title track, “Dream Girl”. The song is a rhythmic dance number and that the group is preparing a new original performance totally different from last year’s hit “Sherlock”.

SHINe's Onew and CSJH's Dana to temporarily host Sukira

Super Junior's Ryeowook and Sungmin who are the hosts of KBS's Kiss The Radio (Sukira) will be replaced temporarily by SHINee's leader Onew and CSJH The Grace's Dana from the 13th of February to 17th.

Kiss The Radio (Sukira) will be still broadcast from 10:00 PM to 12:00 AM KST.

T-ara's "Private Book" photos revealed!

T-ara is said to have a 'Private Book' that will be released in Japanese on the 28th of February. The book contains facts and a Q and A with every member as well as pictures.

SHINee's Wonderful Day No-Cut Edition to be aired soon!

'SHINee's Wonderful Day' has been aired on the 10th and showed the trip of the members in different countries. Each member was given 4 days and 3 nights to enjoy their break and do whatever they wanted. 

All of you enjoyed the show for sure, but the one that was aired on the 10th has a lot of cut because the show was aired for 1 hour only. The good news is, 'SHINee's Wonderful Day' will be broadcast once again with no-cut and set to air 10 episodes on MBC Music. This program will show Onew in Thailand, Jonghyun in Japan, Taemin in Switzerland, Minho and Key in England.

Starting on February 12, you can watch the no-cut edition of the show at 11PM (KST). The show will be aired every Tuesday.
