Eunjung Ligament Injury, 'What to do~'


T-ara's Eunjung was injured right before their comeback with new song 'Lovey Dovey'.

Eunjung sprained her ankle on MBC Gayo Daejun, and injured two ligaments. She have to join their comeback stage with half gips.

Core Content Media revealed on 4th January, "Eunjung injured her legs right before their comeback, but she asked for analgesic injection for the comeback stage preparation. She asked for the injection to the doctor so that she could stand on the stage, just like how athletes took the injection before their competition. But the doctor decided to see her condition on the day of the comeback."

It was also revealed that Eunjung could only sit and watch T-ara members preparing their comeback, because of her treatment.

T-ara talks about their “Lovey Dovey” concept backstage at ‘M! Countdown’

On January 5th, the members of T-ara sat down for an interview following their “Lovey Dovey” comeback on Mnet‘s ‘M! Countdown‘.
The girls commanded attention by dressing up in two different outfits as they shuffled across the club-themed stage.
Hyomin began, “There were some who asked why we used the shuffle dance as a concept, especially since it was dying out of popularity. We just wanted something that people could easily enjoy, and so we switched up the shuffle dance a bit to fit our own concept. ‘Lovey Dovey’ has a different feel in that you move your arms with the shuffle.”
Soyeon stated, “We really want to turn the shuffle dance into a dance that’s popular nationwide. It’s perfect for those that are dieting since it eats up a lot of your energy. You really don’t need any other diet with it.”
Eunjung also expressed, “Since we’re the first girl group to use the shuffle dance as our concept, we’re having a lot of fun with it. It’s a dance that’s really diverse , so as opposed to focusing on the final results, we just want to have fun with everyone on stage.”

T-ara shuffle dances on M! Countdown with “Lovey Dovey”

Girl group T-ara brought the house down with their debut performance of “Lovey Dovey” on tonight’s episode of ‘M! Countdown‘!
The girls hinted that they would be using the ‘shuffle dance’ in their choreography, but fans weren’t expecting the group to bust out a 360-degree, left-to-right movement that transformed the stage into a real dance floor. Check out their performance below!

T-ara’s Boram clarifies her depressing Twitter message

A few days agoT-ara‘s Boram alarmed fans with a depressing message she wrote on her Twitter.
Her fellow members quickly responded with messages of encouragement and consolation, making fans and netizens wonder whether something had been going on.
On January 5th, Boram finally clarified her tweets by explaining, “Nothing happened. The pills I talked about were just collagen supplements. I guess people were worried because I called them pills.”
When asked about the rest of the message, she replied, “Doesn’t everyone go through hard times? It wasn’t anything big.”

T-ara had a delicious dinner to celebrate Lovey Dovey comeback!

T-ara makes comeback with "Lovey Dovey" on M! Countdown


Following the release of its epic movie-music videoT-ara finally made their first live performance of the much-anticipated "Lovey Dovey"!

Completely different feeling from "Cry Cry", T-ara members ditched their fierce and manly concept, and switched back to their funky and club-vibe style. The girls put up an amazing stage despite of Eunjung's injured ankle andJiyeon's poor health.

T-ara’s Eunjung determined to perform “Lovey Dovey” live despite injury

T-ara member Eunjung is determined to stand on the ‘M! Countdown‘ stage on the 5th.
The singer tore a ligament in her left ankle while walking on stage at the MBC ‘Gayo Daejaejun‘ on December 31st. She is determined to do whatever it takes to stand on stage for their “Lovey Dovey” debut stage.
T-ara’s agency remarked, “The doctor said it would be best to decide after seeing her condition the day of the performance, but Eunjung is determined to take a few painkillers and stand on stage, even if it means if that she needs to wear a cast and do her shuffle dance.”
In related news, “Lovey Dovey” swept online music charts immediately after being released.

‘Roly Poly’ the musical is a ‘dream come true’ for T-ara’s Soyeon


T-ara leader Soyeon shared her thoughts on being in a musical for the very first time.
The T-ara members were at the ‘Roly Poly‘ Musical press conference held at the Chinese-Korean Press Center on January 4th, musical star Park Hyemi was also present, as well as singer Jang Hye Jin.
Soyeon remarked, “I am honored that our song “Roly Roly” has left such a strong impression on our fans and the public that it has now become a musical. I am determined to do my best, as I feel a strong sense of responsibility.”
I have always been interested in musicals since I studied Theater & Art in school,” she continued. “I dreamed of being a part of such a large-scale project such as this.”
I know that I am still a rookie, and I have a lot to learn. I am worried that this will cause me to inconvenience a lot of my seniors,” she added. “I will work hard as to not trouble them.”
‘Roly Poly’ is a jukebox musical, based off the MV of T-ara’s hit song also titled, “Roly Poly”. The musical is the joint effort of ‘Midas Touch’, Core Contents Media CEO Kim Kwang Soo & Culture Act, who produced ‘Mother‘, and ‘Really Really Like You‘.
The musical opens at Sungnam Arts Centers for the first time on January 13th.

Super Junior sweeps MSN International Award


K-Pop phenomenon Super Junior have added another feather to their cap after emerging at a recent online fan voting contest.

The South Korean boyband beat 36 other Korean acts to nab the MSN International Award, cranking up an overwhelming 323,355 or 61% of online votes with their winning song "Mr Simple".

Seattle-born rapper Jay Park, with 176,897 or 34% of votes, came in a distant second with "Take A Deeper Look" in the voting contest, organised by MSN as part of its exclusive coverage of the upcoming Golden Disk Awardsf(x)'s "Pinnochio" grabbed third place.

In all, a whopping 526,942 votes were collected between December 5-26 as fans across the world logged onto their local MSN portals to cast their votes for their favorite K-Pop band and song. Some of the other 35 nominees include 'The Boys' by Girls Generation and 'Fiction' by B2ST.

This is the second year the MSN International Award is being conducted, the first of a kind that empowers K-Pop fans worldwide.

MSN is the official online media of the Golden Disk Awards. Often dubbed the Korean Grammys, the Awards will be held next week, January 11th and 12th 2012 at the Kyocera Dome in Osaka, Japan.
