T-ara’s Hyomin revealed her unique reactions to negative comments!

On March 6th, the idol tweeted an adorable sel-ca series, stylized as a four-frame comic. She attached the caption, “4-cut comic…. How I deal with negative comments”.

Each photo also had an accompanying message, which read: “1) Hyominie turned into a negative commenter. 2) After seeing comments… Obviously looking disappointed. 3) Comforting self sniffle. 4) Whatever. It’ll all turn out okay.”

Netizens were charmed by her delicate facial features and her adorable acting. They praised, “Comic picture set-up is awesome”, “I completely relate”, and “Her expression acting is really good”.

KARA is the first foreign female artist to top Oricon’s Composite DVD Chart, sets new record

Korean girl group, KARA, has released their music video collection DVD “KARA BEST CLIPS” last week and it topped Oricon’s Weekly Composite DVD Ranking chart; selling around 132,000 copies. KARA has personally been first in the single, album and DVD rankings. However, it’s been revealed that they’re the first foreign female artist to top the composite DVD ranking chart since its inception in 1999.

The previous record was held by Chinese group Twelve Girls Band’s, “Twelve Girls Band ~ First Premium Concert in Japan~” (1/26 2004) and American artist Britney Spears’s “Greatest Hits: My Prerogative” (12/20 2004) have came in at #2 on Oricon’s Weekly Composite DVD Ranking. KARA is the first foreign female artist to get number one on the Composite DVD Ranking.

Furthermore, KARA sold 132,000 copies of their music video collection “KARA BEST CLIPS” in their first week and this is the greatest amount sold for a music video collection for a female artist; not including live performance DVDs. The previous top seller was Kuraki Mai’s “FIRST CUT” (11/20 2000), which sold 99,000 copies. Kuraki has held the record for 10 years and 3 months, but KARA has just taken her record away.

In total, there have been only 6 foreign artists who have made it to number one on the Weekly DVD Composite Ranking: The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Tohoshinki (TVXQ), JUNSU/JEJUNG/YUCHUN (JYJ) and Michael Jackson.

IU and T-ara’s Jiyeon spotted working in a restaurant at Ewha Woman’s University

Photos of singer IU’s participation at a one-day restaurant on the campus of Ewha Woman’s University (EWU) have been leaked.

On March 4th, photos of IU were uploaded under the title “Pictures of IU filming at a one-day restaurant at EWU” through Korean portal site Daum.

In the photos, IU is indeed filming at a one-day restaurant at EWU. With a cute expression, she is seen sharing conversations with the students – drawing attention from netizens. T-ara’s Jiyeon is also seen with IU in the pictures, which means there’s a high possibility that they were in the middle of shooting for SBS’s “Heroes“.

Netizens commented, “I really like the fresh look of an 18-year-old girl”, “Really cute”, and “I envy those students.”

G.NA attempts to become 4minute’s English teacher on “4minute’s Mr. Teacher”

On the latest episode of “4minute’s Mr. Teacher“, G.NA made an appearance to teach the girls the proper way of speaking English. However, the poor singer had a hard time getting the 4minute girls to stay focused, as they kept going off topic and dancing randomly to songs.

She first attempted to help the girls differentiate the pronunciation of the ‘f’ and ‘p’ sounds, and they were able to butter up their English and say “4minute” with the perfect American accent. Jiyoon then said “f(x)” and all the girls started dancing to “LA chA TA“.

After a while, G.NA finally gave up on the easy-going idols, declaring that they were simply too hard to teach.

Nichkhun tells Victoria that she can call him oppa on ‘We Got Married’

Nichkhun, the year-younger husband of Victoria, suddenly proposed the idea that Victoria could call him ‘oppa’ whilst practicing his stage for ‘MBC Gayo Daejun’.

Up to this point, Nichkhun and Victoria had called each other nicknames like “Nichkhun-ssi” and “Victoria-ssi”. The background behind Nichkhun’s suggestion was that he got the idea after seeing Victoria’s interview program. In the interview, Victoria said that after seeing Nichkhun being a kind ‘oppa’ to younger women, she also wanted to call him ‘oppa’, but she was worried Nichkhun would not like it.

Nichkhun also revealed that he would like wife Victoria to call him ‘oppa’ through an interview, and he said that if he was called ‘oppa’, he really felt like he became ‘Victoria’s man’, and he could not hide his fluttering feelings.

Whether or not Victoria really abided by Nichkhun’s suggestion to call him ‘oppa’ will be revealed through the March 5th episode of MBC’s ‘We Got Married’.

T-ara & 5dolls collaborate on Music Core with “I Mean You”

T-ara’s Hyomin and Jiyeon joined the 5dolls for a collaboration stage on this week’s “Music Core.”

The Core Contents Media labelmates will be collaborating all week long for “I Mean You” as a special act of support and friendship. T-ara’s Eunjung misses out due to another schedule.

The T-ara members revealed, “We’ve always wanted to perform with 5dolls because we really love the song, ‘I Mean You.’ We asked our agency if it was possible, and they readily agreed, which is why we’re able to stand on the same stage together.”

Kim Soo Hyun and T-ara’s Eunjung cause human traffic jam in Myungdong

The streets of Myungdong have been blocked off due to Kim Soo Hyun and T-ara’s Eunjung.

On March 5th, actor Kim Soo Hyun and T-ara’s Eunjung attended Spris‘ Dream Project event in Myungdong, Seoul, and as soon as the two arrived in Myungdong, the streets became packed to the point where people were not able to get around like usual.

Both Kim Soo Hyun and Eunjung starred in the ever-so-popular ‘Dream High‘, and in the drama, Kim Soo Hyun played the role of Song Sam Dong and Eunjung played the role of Baekhee. Both received much love from the viewers for their acting, and thanks to the drama, the two have received much interest from fashion brands and could be considered to be the blue chip of the commercial industry.

They have received much interest for their Spris music drama CF where they displayed their singing and dancing skills as well.
