T-ara’s Soyeon thinks having a crush isn’t all roses

T-ara‘s Soyeon confessed that she thinks having a crush isn’t as great as people make it out to be.

On January 4th, the idol appeared for the premiere of the ‘Roly-Poly‘ musical at the Press Center, where she stated, “I think a crush is definitely a sad thing.”

When asked, “Have you ever had a crush?” Soyeon thought back to her days as a student and said,“Whether it was a church oppa or a school sunbae, I think I had many crushes. When it comes down to it though, I think it’s good when both sides love each other; to have a crush is a very sad thing.”

She added, “When I was a student, my dream to become a singer was very big, so I think I am similar to my character on ‘Roly Poly’. If there is one thing I regret, I think it would have been nice to have a close ‘family’ like in the musical.”

The ‘Roly-Poly’ musical stars musical diva Park Hae Mi and ‘I Am a Singer‘ star Jang Hye Jin, along with T-ara’s Jiyeon, Hyomin, Soyeon, and actor Lee Jang Woo.

KARA performs in $17 million USD worth of stage for 'MBC Gayo Daejaejun'

Girl group KARA was unable to attend the end of the year 2011 MBC Korean Music Festival (Gayo Daejaejun) on Dec. 31. Thus to console their Korean fans, the band hired a ship valued at 20 billion won ($17,322,016) in order to record a performance and air it at the festival.

The five member group was unable to attend the celebrated annual music show in their homeland as the band was already appearing on a Japanese program airing concurrently. Along with other Korean idol groups Girls' Generationand TVXQ, the girl group performed at the Kohaku Uta Gassen, an annual concert-competition.

In the pre-recorded film clip featuring KARA, the band is seen singing and dancing on board a ship that costs 20 billion to purchase and some tens of million won to hire out for a mere five hours.

According to Joongang Ilbo the ship was hired out to the band courtesy of "Marine Rouge", one of the biggest vessel companies in Japan.

Apart from appearing on Kohaku Uta Gassen, the girls of KARA have been busy making appearances at other end of the year Japanese song festivals such as the Record Awards, Music Station Super Live and the FNS Music Festival.

KARA’s Goo Hara picks Takuya Kimura as her favorite Japanese actor

KARA member Goo Hara giggled like a schoolgirl when talking about Japanese SMAP member and actor, Takuya Kimura.

Goo Hara along with some of her fellow KARA members guest featured on KBS 2FM‘s radio program ‘Hong Jin Kyung’s 2:00‘ on January 3rd, and the girls shared a story about the time they met Takuya Kimura.

When talking about Japanese actors, Goo Hara remarked that she liked Takuya Kimura after watching one of his dramas. “I recently met him at the Kohaku Uta Gassen,” she said.

“We introduced ourselves to him as KARA and said hello to him first. He responded by telling us he was happy to meet us and was extremely friendly,” they explained with an excited laugh.

While Goo Hara picked Takuya Kimura as her favorite Japanese actor / actress, Nicole choseMizusima Hiro, Han Seungyeon chose Toda Erika as well as Abe Hiroshi, while Kang Ji Youngchose Yuki Amami.

DREAM HIGH 2 公开最新画报！

近日，即将放送的电视剧“Dream High 2”公开了他们带有6人的最新画报。


在这次公开的画报当中6名主角的背影全都亮相了。照片当中除了 2AM 镇云 以及 姜素拉 的样貌公开以外其他人都只有背影，激起了观众们对于剩下4位主角的好奇心。 其中另外两名女生分别是 智妍 以及 孝琳。


在这次主演6人当中已经公开的有 镇云，姜素拉，智妍 以及 孝琳。然而另外两位还未公开的主演成员是EDEN组合当中的队员。


相关人士说道“演员以及偶像歌手将不会是参与拍摄的演员而已，同时还加入了新的演员，他们也有很强的爆发力，就像Dream High 1中受到喜爱的金秀炫一样，预告着新的新人诞生。”

Dream High 2 releases new still cut of 6 students

The much-awaited KBS drama, "Dream High 2", has released a new still cut featuring the new six lead casts.

Boosting up more anticipation, only Jinwoon and Kang Sora are facing the viewer. The rest of the members are on their backs, hinting fans for what’s more to come.

Dream High 2, which is about the story of students attending a performing arts school aimed at cultivating celebrities, is set for a premiere on January 30th.

Boram puzzles the fans with recent tweets

T-ara's Boram left a puzzling message on her Twitter, worrying the fans.

On January 3rd, Boram wrote, "I feel like I am going to explode. More than this, I hate the heavy and depressing feeling. A little, no, very sad. I'm sad that I have keep from crying alone, and sad that I have to take all this medicine so I won't get sick."

Netizens commented, expressing their worry, "I heard that Boram is taking medicine because she is sick", "She must be really stressed out for actually writing about it" and "She must be worn out".

Meanwhile, T-ara revealed their new title track "Lovey Dovey". The group will be performing the song for the first time in M! Countdown on January 5th.

Hyomin's New Year's letter to fans

T-ara's Hyomin reflects on all their hardships for the past year.

On January 2nd, Hyomin tweeted photos of a special handwritten letter for her fans with the captions, "It’s a New Year’s laundry letter" and "Again again~ Hurry up and read it before it's all dry.ㅜㅜ Can you still not see the letter??".

In the photos, the letter can be seen pinned in the hanger. It must've gotten wet during the process of writing it.

The letter says:

The New Year has arrived~^^ I secretly had my hopes up for something different..

But everything remains the same except one thing, the calendar .. ah~! Though if there had to be one thing different..

It really feels as if we’ve ran up to this point with no time to rest. Everyone must feel like that, we’re people too, you know! 

Of course we get tired from working ^^.. If there’s a know-how, that isn’t exactly a know-how in means of overcoming this..

I think of what my parents always told me when I was younger “You try going out there in the real world..!!”

Those are the words that come to mind~ ㅋㅋ I used to think that only my body would be tired .. but after experiencing it ..

There’s more greed to become a little bit better.. as you set up high standards for yourself..

and there’s a feeling of frustration each time that happens. But with mind control!!

I know to rise up again each time!^^ It may be a childish method but I write in my diary or read famous sayings from books to encourage myself.. It’s actually.. a quite decent method..?!!! I seriously *re~commend*~~ it!!

I read it again today but.. ┌The three principles of changing wishes into goals. First, setting a deadline, Second, specificity, Third, writing these on paper.. ‹Making good use of miraculous time›...┘

Although I don’t have a set time limit or anything specific.. how thankful I’ve felt up until now to all the people who cheered for us..

And right now, the start of the new year!.. I want to shout out hwaiting! to the ones in need of words of encouragement .. And.. I also tried writing a New Year’s card filled with sincerity!! In hopes to receive even more words of encouragement and support from you all !!^^ A really big~

T-ara Pretty Boys EP3 - Public Manager Selection

T-ara is due to select a pretty boy manager in the upcoming episode of T-ara Pretty Boys. T-ara will decide what skills a manager has to be equipped with, and the pretty boys will be tested on those skills during the selection process. Basic criteria includes driving ability, situation handling ability, capability in running errands, memory power, etc.

To ensure the quality of their manager, T-ara will hold one-on-one in-depth test with the pretty boys. It is rumored that T-ara's current personal manager is also invited as an examiner in the selection process.

In the meantime, the selected manager will be committed to T-ara's schedule, getting the opportunity to experience and do what the actual T-ara manager is doing now.

SBS E! "T-ara Pretty Boys" Manager Selection will air on January 7, Saturday Night, 11pm.

T-ara‘s new song “Lovey Dovey” has made an instant all-kill on the music charts!

On January 3rd, “Lovey Dovey” hit #1 on the real-time charts from Mel0n, Cymusic, Naver, Daum,Soribada, and Mnet. Considering how fans have been waiting months for T-ara’s follow-up song, it’s no surprise that it immediately grabbed the top spot on music charts upon its release.

Netizens are speculating that “Lovey Dovey” will reign charts for a while, especially since it’s the new year and many of T-ara’s fellow artists have wrapped up their album promotions. The girls’ music program appearances and their dramatic music video should also help to consolidate their top position.
