Did Davichi’s Kang Min Kyung get cosmetic surgery on her chin?


Past photos of Davichi‘s Kang Min Kyung has roused rumors that she’s had some work done on her chin.
A screen capture from YSTAR‘s ‘GoongGeumTa (Curious)‘ was uploaded online with the caption, “Proof Kang Min Kyung got plastic surgery. Oh my God!” The screen capture shows a before-and-after of Kang Min Kyung. Her chin line is emphasized in the photo accompanied by a plastic surgeon’s comment that said, “It looks like she shaved down about 8~10 mm (.31~.39 in) of her chin.
Davichi is currently experiencing incredible success with their newest song, “Take a Drink Together“.

Baek Ji Young’s fans surprise her with a special birthday cake


Singer Baek Ji Young celebrated her 37th birthday on the 25th with her fans and a special cake!
WS Entertainment shared on their official Twitter, “The surprise birthday cake that the fans prepared at the Busan concert. Happy cutie Baek Ji Young,” along with adorable selcas of the singer proving that age is just a number.
Baek Ji Young held her concert ‘An Outing After 7 Years‘ at the BEXCO in Busan on the 23rd and celebrated her birthday with 5,000 fans in attendance. Her close friends Shin Seung Hun, Kangta, Kim Min Jong, Gummy, INFINITE, SHINee, and more also prepared a special video to congratulate her on her birthday.

Super Junior’s Eunhyuk in talks to join Kang Ho Dong on his new SBS variety show


Super Junior‘s Eunhyuk might be teaming up with Kang Ho Dong on the MC’s new SBS variety show!
Eunhyuk’s reps stated, “It is true that he received the casting offer to join the program that will befollowing after the conclusion of ‘K-pop Star 2‘. But nothing has been confirmed due to scheduling issues. We’re reviewing the offer at the moment.”
The highly anticipated variety show will feature Kim Hyun JoongYoon Jong ShinYoo Se YoonKim Bum Soo, and Yoon Si Yoon, as well as Lee Soo Geun. The program is planning on 7 members in all, and the final member is currently being decided upon and fan are anxious to see if that member will be Eunhyuk.
The show will be led by Kang Ho Dong and PD Jang Hyuk Jae of ‘Family Outing‘ and the cast will travel to Laos on April 4th for a 3-night, 4-day trip for the first episode which will premiere on April 21st.
Eunhyuk has previously shown his good teamwork with Kang Ho Dong on ‘Strong Heart‘ and ‘Star King‘ so it’ll be good to see them reunite through another show!

T-ara to launch subunit made up of Jiyeon, Eunjung, Hyomin, and Areum


There is some exciting news in store for Queen’s!
Idol group subunits seem to be the trend these days, and jumping on the bandwagon will be T-ara with their very own unit consisting of 4 members!
Who will be in this currently unnamed subunit? Apparently it will be JiyeonEunjung, Hyomin, andAreum, and they’ll be kicking off promotions with a song by one of the hottest producer teams these days, Duble Sidekick!
Core Contents Media broke the news on the 27th, stating, “A unit made up of Jiyeon-Eunjung-Hyomin-Areum is scheduled to launch.”
However, unlike other subunits that try their hands at a different concept or style of music than their original groups, this T-ara subunit will continue with ‘T-ara-like’ performances. The agency added,“They’ll be approaching the public with an even more familiar image.”
According to the rep spoken with, the unit has big plans in store as they hope to create a ‘national dance’ that the whole nation will be able to dance along to, much like the way everyone knows how to do the ‘Y.M.C.A’. The rep added with laughter, “We are expecting to see a song that will be like the next ‘Gangnam Style’.”
As for the other members, BoramQri, and Soyeon, they’ll be focusing on individual activities for the time being. After the concluding of unit and individual promotions, the group will reunite and stand together on stage again for their Japanese arena tour.
The subunit is said to be aiming for launch around April or May, so keep an eye out for updates!

Super Junior’s Leeteuk and Mighty Mouth’s Sangchu appointed as military ambassadors



Super Junior’s Leeteuk and Mighty Mouth’s Sangchu have been appointed as military ambassadors.

An official stated, “Leeteuk and Sangchu attended the Seoul Military Manpower Administration’s 10th annual military ambassador ceremony in Yeongdeungpogu on March 27th at 10AM KST.”

The Office of Military Manpower Administration expressed, “To promote and create an unbiased military service that citizens will be proud of, we have chose Leeteuk and Sangchu to be our military ambassadors.”

Both Leeteuk and Sangchu previously enlisted into the army on October 30th last year.

TVXQ to release Japanese album ‘TIME’ in Korea today



TVXQ’s latest Japanese album ‘TIME’ will be released in Korea today, March 27th.

According to SM Entertainment, TVXQ’s album ‘TIME’ which was released on March 6 in Japan, will be released in Korea in three versions. The album contains a total of 12 tracks including “Catch Me -If you wanna-” and “I Know”.

‘TIME’ garnered a no. 1 win on the Oricon Daily Single Chart and its Weekly Chart as soon as it was released. It also smashed TVXQ’s personal record for the biggest first week sales after selling a total of 244,000 copies in the first week alone.

f(x) releases “Ice Cream” remix from ‘10 CC X SM: Seoul Melody’



SM Entertainment has partnered up with 10 Corso Como to create the ‘10 Corso Como Seoul Melody’ project. In addition to 40-page pictorial with ‘W Korea’ magazine, they will be releasing a special compilation album titled ‘10 CC X SM: Seoul Melody’.

The special remix album will include hit songs by TVXQSuper JuniorGirls’ Generation,SHINee and f(x) which are remixed by DJ SoulscapeJinboIdiotapeGlen Check and more. The songs that will be remixed are TVXQ’s “Before U Go”, Super Junior’s “Sexy, Free & Single”, Girls” Generation’s “Trick”, SHINee’s “Hello”, and f(x)’s “Ice Cream”.

Ahead of the album released on March 28, f(x)’s “Ice Cream” was released on March 27 at noon (KST) through iTunes and other online music distribution websites.

SHINee runs for ‘Skechers’ latest CF



SHINee, who recently came back with their new song “Dream Girl”, has been recently selected as the new face of sportswear brand ‘Skechers’ for its vivacious image. The boys are seen dashing through the footwear brand’s latest CF for the GOrun 2 sneaker. 

The sports brand, popular especially among young people, has launched the new line of of running shoes ‘GOrun’, highlighting light yet active features. A representative stated, “We’ve revealed a CF featuring ‘Sports-dol’ SHINee just in time for the spring running season.”

T-ara’s Eunjung, Hyomin, Jiyeon and Areum to form sub-unit



After forming an unofficial units on their 6th Japanese single “Bunny style!”, girl group T-ara will officially debut its first ever sub-unit group! 

T-ara is set to make a comeback in late April or early May, but instead of returning as a full group, they will be starting up unit activities. According to Core Contents Media on March 27th, “We are currently sorting out the details for a sub-unit for EunjungJiyeonHyomin andAreum.”

Though no detailed information was revealed, it is said that T-ara’s unit will debut with an easy and addictive dance number similar to the Village People’s “YMCA” dance from the late 1990’s. They will work with the new hitmaker, Double Sidekick, who has worked with SPEED andDavichi.

The agency added, “Eunjung, Hyomin, Jiyeon and Areum will appear different from their original T-ara image. We want to familiarize the public with them individually.”

SHINee Opens Ticket Lottery Applications!



SHINee opens ticket lottery applications for their second Japan Arena Tour.


The application period will be from March 25th to April 5th and each ticket costs 9,000 yen and additional of 380 yen for the system fee. You will also get a free light stick and will be given at the venue.

SHINee's fans in Japan are really lucky.

SHINee's Jonghyun to visit a haunted house in Japan,"He turned out to be a coward?"



SHINee's Jonghyun is known for his manly image, but it seems to be an image only.

In the 7th episode of SHINee's One Fine Day that was aired on March 26th, after his trip in Tokyo, Jonghyun visited the Toei Studio. Toei Kyoto Studio is a large-scale filming location, and it's one of the most famous tourism places in Kyoto.

Jonghyun found a very dark place at the filming set  which brought up his curiosity. Later it was revealed that that place was the haunted house. Japanese haunted house is known for one of the most scariest places, the production team refused to go into the house, however Jonghyun said that he didn't feel afraid at all and tried to persuaded the team to go there with him. But when he went into the house, he was shaken and then he kept screaming because of fear.

After coming out from the house, everyone was teasing him and said,"I thought you're a man", then he said,"I'm manly" and "I'm not embarrassed", made the production team laugh over his statement.

TVXQ's Changmin’s ‘Paradise Ranch’ to be aired in Japan Again!



TVXQ's Max Changmin’s drama ‘Paradise Ranch’ will be aired in Japan again.


Max Changmin made his big screen debut as one of the leading roles in  Japanese movie “Run with the Gold”. Changmin received the Best Rookie Award at the ’36th Japanese Academy Awards’ for his role in ‘Run with the Gold’ last year. To celebrate his award, NHK will air ‘Paradise Ranch again, which was Changmin's first drama.

‘Paradise Ranch’ was aired in Korea and after six months, it was aired in Japan which became a hot topic. The drama will be aired again on NHK BS11 starting on April 1st with Japanese subtitles.
