SHINee works with Mika Nanagawa for SPUR Magazine.

Keita Maruyama said on his Twitter account "For SPUR that's to be on sale on 22nd November, we had shooting session few days ago where SHINee donned apparels of Tokyo's men brand that I styled. We had Mika Ninagawa as the photographer. It's gonna be a page full of charm so please have a look."

Keita Maruyama is also the designer in charge for the single Dazzling Girl. SPUR is a fashion magazine.

Note: Ninagawa is a photographer known for coordinating super bright and colorful spreads, as well as her work on AKB48's most popular music video, "Heavy Rotation." 

KARA to release ‘Girls Forever’ album in Japan

KARA will be releasing their third Japanese album, ‘Girls Forever‘, next month!

The album includes their Japanese singles “Speed Up”, “Girl’s Power”, and their most recent release “Electric Boy” as well as updated versions of “Winter Magic” and “Jet Coaster Love”. ‘Girls Forever’ holds 10 tracks and 5 bonus tracks in all and comes in three editions: limited edition A (CD+DVD), B (CD+Photobook), and C (CD).

‘Girls Forever’ is scheduled to hit stores on November 14. In the meantime, check out the album jacket photos and track lists below!

Director Cha Euntaek talks about T-ara & Eunjung in an interview with News 2 Day

"The T-ara incident made me detest even more Korean's society that cannot tell right from wrong"

Reporter: Recently, you've supported Eunjung through twitter and this became a hot topic. You didn't expect that right? What are your thoughts about the T-ara incident?

In response to the question that the reporter asked mindfully, Director Cha Euntaek surprisingly gave a calm and sharp response. Because of his message of support to Eunjung, Director Cha was also criticized by some netizens. Director Cha was the director for T-ara's MV's like Lovey Dovey, and so have known Eunjung for a long time. He understands Eunjung more than anybody else and truly feels sad and worried about Eunjung.

"Although my message wasn't left simply without thought nor was it left simply just to cheer her on, it still represented my worry and care for her. When she knew that she was cast for , you wouldn't know how happy she was and how hard she worked in preparation. If I was a member of T-ara, I might have hidden away somewhere because of the pain. T-ara being ostracized by the public, this has made me really detest Korean society. I really detest those who, after someone's mistake, add insult to injury without first determining right from wrong. To be honest, I thought "Should I gamble my career in the entertainment industry and just say it all [and argue]? Just say it all on twitter?" I was really angry at the time."

"I've watched them grow since the T-ara members were still trainees. They are kids that have worked hard to become singers, and I was really hurt to see them criticized like that. Eunjung's message on twitter was actually really simple and pure. They cannot go out and play like other teenagers, but have to practice with all their might, running around to complete their activities. They cannot live like other kids of the same age, but are constrained by their work. They are kids who are more simple and pure than others of their age."

"At the time, I was really very upset. To see how the public, without understanding the circumstances, became so sure that there must have been bullying between them. I don't understand, there have been incidents in the past that were much worse, idols who have done illegal things, but why only treat T-ara with such harshness?"

About how his message of support for Eunjung caused a stir amongst netizens, Director Cha said: "Although we should criticise acts that are wrong, but to see people carelessly criticise and condemn acts that are right simply because of their own subjectivity and bias, I really could not carrying on living pretending that I did not see this in our society."

"Eunjung ah, you have to live with strength"

"I always talk with Eunjung, and she told me 'Because of Director-nim, I've gained a lot of strength." She cannot clarify everything about what has happened, simply because they are all very close, in reality, their relationship is not like what outsiders have said, and they do not want each other to be criticised or blamed because of themselves. Because of this incident, they really cried a lot. I really can't bear to see them cry like that. I tried to find ways to comfort them, but I couldn't come up with any good ways but to say to them to live with strength. After Eunjung was forced out of I had once worried that she would do something stupid."

Super Junior‘s Donghae snapped a photo with actor Park Geun Hyung.

On the 24th, Donghae tweeted, “The grandpa I love, Park Geun Hyung“, and uploaded a photo of the two of them making hearts at the camera. Although Donghae looks natural with the heart, the 72-year-old actor looked sheepish and was blushing in the photo.

Donghae and Park Geun Hyung had acted together in the drama ‘Panda and the Hedgehog‘, and Donghae had tweeted his respect for the actor previously on October 11th, writing, “The person I respect the most, grandpa Korean Al Pacino Park Geun Hyung! ‘Win Win’ is the best“.

Krystal posted to me2day on October 24: “Thank you to everyone who wished me a happy birthday. Though everyone’s saying I’m turning 20, I was 17 just yesterday. Let’s just say that I’ll stop here.”

Hyuna will perform 3 songs for Music Bank comeback

Girl group 4minute’s member Hyuna will have her comeback stage with 3 songs.

Hyuna will be coming back through KBS 2TV Music Bank on the coming 25th. On this day, 3 songs from her 2nd solo mini album will be performed.

A representative from Hyuna’s side spoke to Star News, “Hyuna will be revealing her comeback stage on Music Bank”, and “Title track ‘Ice Cream’ of course will be included, as well as the performance for ‘Don’t Disturb’ will be performed. We are in the midst of preparing a stage to showcase Hyuna’s only sexy charms and strong hip hop performance.”

As Hyuna’s title track, ‘Ice Cream’ MV was revealed, it has received hot reactions from fans in and out of Korea. The MV which was also revealed has also featured PSY’s cameo.

2PM's "Masquerade" chosen as theme song for Japanese program

2PM’s new Japanese single “Masquerade” has been chosen as the opening theme song for Nihon TV’s music program,‘Happy Music’.

“Masquerade” which was released on the 14th of October immediately rose to the top of Tower Record’s preorder chart. The single maintained at the top three spots for eight consecutive days, proving 2PM’s great popularity in Japan. Due to the high demand, Japan’s Sony Music is in production to increase the number of singles. 

The new single was created by famous producer NA.ZU.NA and M.I, who have worked with popular Japanese singers like Arashi, Koda Kumi, and SMAP. “Masquerade” is a dance song with a heartbreaking story behind it’s lyrics. 2PM sure captured the hearts of their listeners with their smooth vocals and masculinity as well.

SBS prepares project groups for year end show

Major Korean broadcaster SBS is readying themselves to show new spectrum of year-end music show.

On the October 21st episode of SBS Inkigayo, a teaser video hinting for the special stages that will be featured in this year’s Gayo Daejun was revealed. With the theme of “Color of Kpop,” existing groups will unite to be reborn as new groups.

Popular boy groups members B2ST’s Kikwang and Yoseob, INFINITE’s Woohyun and Hoya, TEEN TOP’s Niel and L.Joe, MBLAQ’s G.O and Lee Joon, and 2AM’s Jo Kwon and Jinwoon will come together to create two new project groups called Dynamic Black and Dramatic Blue.

On the other hand, SISTAR’s Hyolin and Bora, 4minute’s HyunA and Gayoon, Secret’s Hyosung and Sunhwa, After School’s Lizy and Nana, KARA’s Nicole and Jiyoung will turn into two girl groups called Mystic White and Dazzling Red.

The project group’s new title songs will be produced by hit songwriters with Shinsadong Tiger being in charge of Dynamic Black, Sweetune of Dramatic Blue, Brave Brothers of Dazzling Red and Kim Do Hoon of Mystic White.
