9th Korean Music Festival: Second batch of artists announced!

Just last week, KoreaTimes revealed the first batch of artists for this year’s Korean Music Festival. With an already promising line-up including Sul Woon Do, DJ D.O.C and SISTAR, the large-scale event has raised anticipation by adding four more stars to the list!

Again, it’s unclear when the next batch will be released, but it’s awesome to know that the line-up is already filled with stellar artists. Remember to purchase your tickets for the Los Angeles based concert ASAP before the event sells out!

Big Bang, Super Junior, & KARA will not perform in MBC’s ‘50th Anniversary Korean Music Wave Concert'

It was just announced that Super Junior, KARA, and Big Bang will not perform at MBC’s “50th Anniversary Korean Music Wave Concert in Bangkok“.

MBC will be sending their ‘Show! Music Core‘ staff to Thailand on March 10th to prepare for the epic event. The music program’s PD has already flown to Thailand to manage the production.

The concert will feature 15 popular artists, who have reorganized their schedules in order to participate in this overseas concert.

KARA considered performing, but ultimately made the decision not to perform. Reportedly, the girls felt uncomfortable about appearing on TV during the middle of their contract dispute.

Big Bang will not be participating, since MBC’s list of performing artists was already finalized before they released their album. As for Super Junior, the boys are currently busy with their unit activities and overseas promotions.

It has not yet been announced when the concert will air in Korea. Though the event takes place on March 12th, viewers will see only a regular episode of ‘Show! Music Core’. Since most of the staff will be in Thailand on that day, MBC will air the pre-recorded show that was filmed on the 5th.

KARA reveals their ‘Palty’ CF

KARA has been picked up to endorse the Japanese hair color brand, ‘Palty‘.

The announcement was made during the “Tokyo Girls Collection” show, and many Japanese fans are delighting over the new endorsement. ’Palty’ is Japan’s most popular hair color brand, and is widely considered to be the best. The fact that KARA was chosen to be the brand’s spokesmodels demonstrates that their popularity has been growing in Japan.

It also shows that KARA’s current dispute with their agency has not yet affected their Japanese activities in a significant way, much to everyone’s relief.

f(x)’s Sulli shows off her surprising football skills

During a recent photoshoot for an endorsement, f(x)’s Sulli showed off her surprising football tricks and skills.

It’s not clear as to what the endorsement is for, but what’s certain is that Sulli is quite talented at football. She must have played back in the day, because she can do tricks that most girl group members definitely cannot pull off.

In this short, behind-the-scenes footage clip, you can check out Sulli kicking the ball around, kicking it in the air, heading it a few times and then shooting it right into a little “goal”.

4minute HyunA’s middle school picture garners interest

4minute’s HyunA revealed her high school graduation photo last month. Now, a photo from her middle school days is causing much chatter on the internet, as fans swooned over her pretty appearance.

In the photo, HyunA appears to be walking home from school while talking on the phone. It seems that HyunA had a great figure, even when she was in middle school.

This photo was taken around the time that HyunA debuted with the Wonder Girls. It shows a different charm from her current image as a sexy member of 4minute.

4minute is currently working on the production of their next album which is set to release in April.

T-ara’s Eunjung reveals her makeup-free face

T-ara’s Eunjung has revealed her fresh face!

The above picture was uploaded through her Twitter, and Eunjung wrote, “Good morning. Oh, it’s not…Afternoon hehehehe”.

It seems as though Eunjung, who woke up late in the morning, took a picture of herself right after she woke up. Although she tries to hide her makeup-free face, she wasn’t quite successful in her endeavor.

Her puffy eyes shows that she enjoyed a deep night’s sleep. Also, unlike her regular self, Eunjungsports a bed head.
