Title for 4Minute's theme song for Japanese drama revealed!

Many of you may recall our previous report back in November 2010 about 4minute singing the theme song forTV Asahi's upcoming Winter 2011 drama, "Akuto~Juuhanzai Sousa Han (悪党～重犯罪捜査班)".
Starring veteran actor Takahashi Katsunori, the drama "focuses on a group of detectives within the Yokohama police department who will use any shady method to close a case".

4Minute's previously untitled track for the drama's OST has now been revealed via the drama's official website to be titled as 『WHY』and will be the drama's opening theme song.

The drama has been slated for a Friday 9PM timeslot on TV Asahi and will air its premier episode on 21 January 2011.

T/N: The 'Now Printing' cover for the track is an indication that the song is highly likely to have a physical release. Furthermore, it seems that they may be planning on promoting the song since it was announced on their UMJ/FET site some months ago (thanks to cmrs14 for the tip).

Amber attends SHINee's concert

Amber was seen attending SHINee's concert on the 2nd of Jan. This was 6 months since her absence due to her ankle injury.

SM said "Amber returned to Korea at the end of last year. It is true she returned to see SHINee's concert. We believe her conditions have improved a lot since her rest in America"

There have been rumors that Amber left f( x) and it didn't help that other members kept promoting without Amber.

Representative of SM said "Amber will prepare for the next album while taking a rest. We're still deciding on the date for album release"

Fans are looking forward to Dream High episode tonight

New KBS drama "Dream high" is airing its first episode tonight and is predicted to gain a lot of attention especially due to many idol members featuring in it.

Coincidence or not "Dream high" was aired during the winter break of the teenagers. Meaning that they are more likely to watch TV because they don't go to school.

However from a teaser of the drama showed a 'possible' kiss scene between Miss A's Suzy and Kim Su Hyun which is causing anxiety within Suzy fans.

IU and Jang Woo Young are also in this drama. WooYoung said "To get to know IU better, I even stole my 2pm member's chocolate biscuits and gave it to IU. I waited for IU's rehearsal to end to give it to her".

He also joked that "If there isn't a kiss scene with IU, i'll make a schedule and make it happen" which caused a lot of laughter.

"Dream high" is expected to have lots of intertwining love lines which fans are anticipating for.

Which group enjoys playing monopoly?

Well,kpop stars usually have packed schedule and it seems that these girls have some leisure hours during their weekend.

Papa Hong's Message, Beast,4-Minute & G-NA plans for 2011

Hello. This is CUBE Entertainment’s representative Hong Seung Sung.

I’ve become accustomed to ‘Hongcube’ and I hope this other name of mine is another form of your affection as well as your infinite trust in CUBE.

In returning that trust, we as CUBE work as if we’re in the midst of summer through your feverous support each day and night.

This year yet again was the feverous support and shouts in none other than the end of the year music awards that was a new step in leading us to the new year.

From now on, we know that you will shout in an even more feverous voice which never changes, as CUBE’s sons and daughters will have a joyful start in starting 2011.

In the mysterious year of CUBE, the first up is G.NA.

In success of G.NA’s debut song “I’ll Back Off So You Can Live,” we have awesome songs next as it is in its last stage preparation before being released. G.NA’s beautiful songs which will soon ring in the ears of many as the CUBE family will not hold back in sending their applause for her.

Secondly, 4MINUTE will be visiting you with a new album.

Today again, they are aiming for a suitable top quality and the expected standards of 4MINUTE. Like the ‘FOR MINUTE’ they are, they are currently working on making a better ‘present’ for themselves constantly running with the effort needed. 4MINUTE is expected to make their new start in mid-February as I cannot be more proud in seeing girls who just liked singing and dancing to them becoming greedier in music in their stage performances.

In ending BEAST’s fourth album promotions, they will be attempting something new once they have finished their little break they received. In success to their first Japan showcase, BEAST receives the spotlight as they will release in the latter half of next year (*T/N: I’m not sure if he means 2011 or 2012…) as they are preparing in a successful debut. BEAST who has stepped foot as an Asian star will face their turning point through their activities in Japan.

Of course, this doesn’t mean that activities in Korea are neglected due to an artists’ activities in Japan. In an adventurous vision and system, CUBE’s sons and daughters have become the foundation to being Asian stars as they are jewels whose stage is crowded if they were only to be in Korea.

As if 4MINUTE did, we prioritize in training for BEAST & G.NA to gain content and power as they can conquer Asia. In the flow worldwide, CUBE will continue to push out with strategical promotions. Continuing after that, CUBE will also present new artists and we will set them all forth in the Asian market.

We will work hard in setting forth CUBE’s sons and daughters as Asia’s centerpiece and becoming the best. For all the fans that love CUBE, we believe that you will be the strong rope and roots as we await your strengthened support.

At the same time with the ever-changing weather with whirlwinds, typhoons, and snow, we will walk proudly as we will not lose balance and we will open our dream stage that we’ve dreamed of in Asia. That strength will come from the fans in the end.

We promise that in 2011, all the fans who have been with CUBE artists for a long time, you will have grounded faith and support as wherever you go, in the name of CUBE you can become one and speak of us proudly. Luna officially casted for 'Legally Blonde' Musical

f(x)'s lead singer, Luna was recently casted in 'Legally Blonde' Musical.

The musical's production company PMC finalized Luna as a cast with the role of "Elle Woods". A representative from the production company stated, "Luna's still ready for practicing, but she's scheduled to appear on February."

This musical is 'Legally Blonde' similar to the movie starring Reese Witherspoon, the blonde heroin becomes a lawyer fighting against the prejudice of blondes being dumb. In 2009, SNSD's Jessica starred in this first Korean musical and she was noticed.

The Musical 'Legally Blonde' will be held at the COEX center in Seoul, it starts at March 20th.

T-ara and 5dolls show their support for Boram’s musical

The girl members of T-ara and 5dolls visited T-ara’s Boram to lend her their support for her participation in her musical performances for “I Really Really Like You.”

The musical “I Really Really Like You” is a comedy-romance musical based on the teen movie trilogy from the 70s – “Don’t Ever Ever Forget Me” (1976), “I’m Really Really Sorry” (1976), “I Really Really Like You” (1978), and it also stars Boram’s father, Jeon Young Rok.

The newest member of Co-Ed and 5dolls, Seo Eun Gyo also appeared.

‘Dream High’ releases OST Part 1

We are just less than 24 hours away from the premiere of KBS 2TV’s ‘Dream High‘ and Part 1 of the OST has just been released, to get fans into the mood.

Part 1 of the OST contains 2 songs, which are both performed by the idol cast members. The first titled, ‘Dream High‘, is sung by Wooyoung, Suzy and JOO, with rapping by Taecyeon, and ties in with the drama’s theme of running after your passions and dreams. The second song is titled, ‘Someday‘ and is performed by IU, and appears to be one for romantic scenes in the drama.

T-ara’s Jiyeon performs with Kim Ha Eun, Oh Ji Eun, Lee Si Young at 2010 ‘KBS Drama Awards’

Jiyeon was the only T-ara member to grace the 2010 ‘KBS Drama Awards‘ on December 31st but that did not stop her from performing T-ara’s hit song, ‘I Go Crazy Because of You‘.

Instead of her T-ara members, Jiyeon (God of Study) linked up with actresses, Kim Ha Eun (Chuno), Oh Ji Eun (Three Brothers), Lee Si Young (Birth of a Rich Man), for a performance of T-ara’s ‘I Go Crazy Because of You’. All 4 were nominees for the Rookie Actress Award.

The start was a complete mess, as they were unsure of their positions, showing the lack of rehearsals, but they soon got into the hang of things and gave it as good as it gets. They also included a solo dance break midway through the performance for each actress.
