‘Entertainment Relay’ ranks the best idol-turned-actor/actress

On August 6th, KBS’s ‘Entertainment Relay‘ ranked their list of best idol-turned-actor/actress in a special ‘best-of’ corner!

Topping the list was none other than JYJ’s Yoochun, who first kicked off his acting career as the handsome but arrogant young gentleman in ‘Sungkyunkwan Scandal‘. He’s gone on to perform inMBC’s ‘Miss Ripley‘, as the role of a sweet man who only loves one woman, showing off the diversity in his image.

Tied in second place were T-ara groupmates, Eunjung and Jiyeon. Jiyeon has experience with ‘God of Study’ and more recently, a horror film, while Eunjung successfully pulled off the role of an antagonist in ‘Dream High‘.

Third place was taken by 2PM’s Taecyeon for his role in ‘Cinderella’s Sister‘. Although he didn’t have many lines, critics thought that he accurately expressed his character’s masculine, yet naive charm.

SNSD’s YoonA came in fourth for her character as ‘Saebyuk’ in ‘You’re My Fate‘. Because she had to play one consistent character for a six-month long drama, critics believed she pulled it off remarkably well, which was reflected in the viewer ratings.

Fifth place was taken by CNBLUE’s Jung Yonghwa, who shook the hearts of women with ‘You’re Handsome‘ and more recently, ‘Heartstrings‘.

Kim Na Young confesses she thought Nichkhun had a crush on her

On the latest episode of MBC’s ‘We Got Married‘, comedienne Kim Na Young, one of the MC’s for the variety program, brought the house down when she revealed an embarrassing misunderstanding.

During the show, Tiger JK, who guested on the program, revealed that Nichkhun always greeted him cheerfully. Fellow MC Park Mi Sun agreed, saying that “He greets me happily as well.”

To this, Kim Na Young spoke up, saying that because he always met her with a smile, she misunderstood, thinking Nichkhun had feelings for her. “I thought he liked me because of that, too.”

Personally, she should’ve known better since Nichkhun has Victoria, don’t you think?

T-ara’s ‘Roly-Poly in Copacabana’ outfits: Love It or Hate It?

T-ara recently came back with ‘Roly-Poly in Copacabana‘ a new version of their hit disco tune.

Throughout their original ‘Roly-Poly‘ promotions and music video, they’ve been seen in various retro outfits, including school uniforms and gym clothes. But this time, the girls took their retro style in a different direction and opted for bright yellow newsprint outfits.

Honestly, I’m not a fan of their past retro looks because I felt like they were too chaotic and unflattering. However, I’m enjoying their recent newsprint outfits, although I think the bits of blue patent make the outfits look cheap and the clunky yellow shoes look like little girls’ dress-up playtime shoes, I have to admit though that the newsprint pattern is what wins me over.

It’s something interesting that you don’t see as often and the color choice is bright and refreshing. Overall the outfits work well together and the girls are able to add their own retro flair to them.

Also, although the two outfits are quite different, I couldn’t help but think of the infamous caution tape outfit of Lady Gaga when looking at T-ara’s outfits!
