4minute says goodbye on M! Countdown

It’s been a busy two months for 4minute, but the girls have finally wrapped up their promotions for their first album on today’s episode of Mnet’s “M! Countdown.”

Kicking off with “Mirror Mirror” and following up with “Heart to Heart“, the girls made amazing achievements both on music charts and in music programs.

Although they were briefly caught up in a dance controversy, the girls managed to overcome it by returning stronger than ever, thereby solidifying their position as one of the top girl groups in Korea.

Cube Entertainment revealed, “The girls will be concluding their first album promotions this week. The members themselves are very disappointed to be leaving as well.”

After taking a brief period of rest, the girls revealed that they will be heading off to Japan to focus on their activities there. Fans can also look forward to HyunA’s solo mini-album to fill the void until their next comeback. Check out their farewell stage below!

KARA’s Goo Hara delivers a stunning pictorial for ‘Elle’

In a stunning new pictorial for ‘Elle‘ magazine, KARA’s Goo Hara transformed into a Bohemian muse from the ’60s.

Hara’s look combines the spirit of Woodstock hippies and the rock ‘n roll freedom that the decade is known for. Makeup artist Jungsaemmool revealed that she was influenced by illustrator Kelly Tunstal in creating Hara’s retro palette.

To give depth to the style, she purposely chose mismatched colors for her makeup, and coordinated an ethnic dress and bold bangles to complete the hippie look.

T-ara’s Hyomin goes underwater for “Gisaeng Ryung”

On May 26th, T-ara’s Hyomin attended the press conference for her upcoming horror film, “Gisaeng Ryung“, and introduced the underwater set from the movie.

She began, “The members think that I match the character I play in the horror film. Since I’m the third member after Jiyeon and Eunjung to play in a horror movie, the other members weren’t really that surprised. They jokingly asked if our group is turning into a horror group.”

With a smile, she continued, “We have young fans so I’m going to try to not make it as scary.”

At the set, Hyomin acted out the role of her character ‘Yurin’ being attacked by a ghost underwater. “Gisaeng Ryung” is a film about a couple moving into an abandoned home and experiencing unnatural situations.

The film will hit theaters on August 4th.

4minute felt hurt when anti-fans told them to get plastic surgery

The ladies of 4minute recently guested on tvN’s talk show, “Taxi“, and shared a painful story about the cruelty of anti-fans.

The girls revealed, “Maybe it’s because we have a strong image, but the hateful replies we receive are a lot more aggressive in comparison to other girl groups. There was one reply that told us to come back after we got plastic surgery, which really shocked us all.”

The girls were also asked to name some of their complexes. Gayoon chose her small hands and feet and explained, “I can’t wear rings and try to hide my hands in pictures. My feet are also size 210mm so I have to wear shoes for kids or put in insoles and tape it up in order to wear heels.”

KARA’s Gyuri shares a tearful story about her grandma on SBS’s “Strong Heart”

KARA’s charismatic leader, Gyuri, recently shed tears while talking about memories of her grandma.

She appeared on May 24th’s broadcast of SBS’s “Strong Heart” and shared her story about how she couldn’t be at her grandmother’s side when she passed away.

The idol stated, “When I was little, my grandma was very scary. I found out later that she was like that because she was worried about her granddaughter that debuted at an early age. She loved seeing me on TV, but in 2010, right before our Japanese debut, she was hospitalized. I only talked to her on the phone and asked how she was doing, and she was just worrying about me and said that she was fine. I couldn’t even see her because of our Japanese debut preparations.”

She added, “Even after completing our showcase, we were still busy in Korea. I found out later that my grandma passed away on the day of our showcase. My parents purposely didn’t tell me. They didn’t tell me because they thought I would be affected and wouldn’t perform well and ruin our Japanese debut.”

Gyuri shed tears while saying, “I feel so much guilt for not having gone to see her, and I would’ve been so much comfortable if I went and saw her before we went to Japan. I was very pained when I thought about how much she missed me. I don’t really talk about myself and I didn’t even talk about this anywhere else.”

Group mate Hara said, “I know about this now but I didn’t know about it at the time. I found out about it much later.”

KARA's Park Gyuri posts photos of birthday gifts from her fans plus her unmade up face

KARA’s Park Gyuri has just had her birthday. The photos of birthday presents she has received from fans were released.

The photos were posted on the photo gallery of MBC’s radio FM Shindong and Park Gyuri’s Shim Shim Ta Pa.

In the photos, Park looks to enjoy her fans’ love to the fullest surrounded by the gifts including cross-stitch cushion, figures, rice cake, birthday cake, and bunches of flowers.

Her fans posted such comments: “I hope it’s not overdue to give my congratulations!” “Wow! Look at all the presents!” “It’s a relief to see my present exactly delivered to you” “You Goddess! I wish you would become a more beautiful Gyuri.”

f(x) to comeback with a repackaged album

Girlgroup f(x) has successfully made their comeback with the release of first full album 'PINOCCHIO' and topped real-time charts causing an all-kill.

After the release of their first full album, they've been receiving overwhelming praises for their improvement.
f(x) ranked No.1 on music shows such as Music Bank, M!Countdown and Inkigayo, they also won Triple Crown(s) for both M!Countdown and Inkigayo since their debut with 'La chA Ta'

SM Entertainment told Star News, "Shortly after SMTOWN in Paris, we will start working on f(x)'s repackaged album."

They continued, "The girls are glad to see positive responses from fans all over. The repackage album is going to contain new songs different from others. The girls are excited to perform their new songs and meet the fans again soon."

A new photo of HyoMin shooting for horror movie "GiSaeng Ryung" has been revealed.

As you can see in the photo above,HyoMin is drowning and can hardly breathe in the water.HyoMin shows off her perfect figure in that white one piece dress.

The movie will air on 4th August.

Lee Seun-gi club dances with Goo Ha-ra...aggresive pumpin

Lee Seung-gi and Goo Ha-ra had a club dancing battle.

On the SBS TV program "Kang Heart" on the 24th, Goo Ha-ra confessed about the first time she ever went to a club.

She said, "I have been to a club for a scene for "City Hunter" but was disappointed because I couldn't feel the real club".

"So my friends and I went to a club for the first time. We didn't hide our faces and went in boldly. Dancing in a club and on stage is totally different. I learnt the basics from my friend. We danced until 5 AM in the morning and shook the club up".

As she was requested to show the dance she learnt, she came up on stage and taught them to MC Lee Seung-gi. Starting off with a slight pumpin' with Goo Ha-ra in the lead, he tried to do a couple dance with her like the true club master (?). However, his aggressive pumping made him lose his balance and fell to the floor, causing the whole studio to burst into laughter.

Meanwhile, on this days episode was Jang Woo-hyeok, Kim Ji-sook, Lee Jeong-seob, Baek Ji-young and the 5 members of Kara.

Ji Yeon and Yoo In Na fall head over heels watching U-Know Yunho skate

Women watching the figure skating performance of TVXQ’s U-Know Yunho could not take their eyes off of him.

On the 22nd, U-Know Yunho figure skated perfectly to the music of his ‘Homage to Michael Jackson’ on SBS’ ‘Kim Yuna’s Kiss and Cry’.

Yoo In Na and T-ara’s Ji Yeon, who had come to show support for IU, were seen with their mouths agape as they watched U-Know Yunho perform Michael Jackson’s signature moves.

Even Kim Yuna, an MC and judge of the show, was seen shaking her head with a look of disbelief as U-Know Yunho performed. She gave him a positive critique and said, “Your jump and spin made your performance beyond my expectations. It was a great idea to use sparkling lights on your outfit.”

U-Know Yunho received the highest total mark of 35.3 amongst the six contestants who performed that episode.
