T-ara’s Jiyeon is gaining attention for her playful selca update.
On August 13th, Jiyeon uploaded a picture and tweeted, “I’m concerned about my bangs.” In the picture, Jiyeon is seen making a variety of silly faces, including one where uses her hair to make a cute mustache.
Netizens commented, “Everything you do is pretty“, “The goddess has arrived“, and “Your hair looks more mature than ever“.
KARA’s Kang Jiyoung has revealed a cute selca of herself to celebrate KARA’s 1st Japanese debut anniversary.
On August 13th, Jiyoung tweeted, “For our 1-year Japanese debut anniversary, our Japanese fans sent us teddy bears wearing clothes from our ‘Mister‘ promotions.”
She then uploaded two photos of the gift she received.
In the picture, Jiyoung is seen smiling brightly while holding on to her “Mister” teddy bear. Additionally, the solo shot of the teddy bear gave fans a good laugh.
Netizens who saw the pictures commented, “Congratulations on your successful Japanese performance” and “The teddy bear is so cute. Kang Jiyoung is also fresh fresh (cute)“.
T-ara have been rocking stages right and left with their hit song, “Roly-Poly“, and it’s become so popular that they’ve extended their promotions with a new version called, “Roly-Poly in Copacabana“!

It looks like the riots in London are making it difficult for Korean celebrities to advance into the UK.
B2ST, 4minute, G.NA, and other Cube Entertainment artists were planning on holding a ‘United Cube Concert‘ at the London Wembley Arena this coming November, but as of now, discussions have come to a halt. The riots in the city are making it difficult for the on-site English company in charge of concert preparations to do their work.
Caba Entertainment, the supervisor of ‘United Cube Concert’, stated, “At the moment, plans have been postponed due to the riots in London. We will discuss the specifics when the situation calms down.”
YG Entertainment, who received invitations to London’s popular ‘Thames Festival‘ for September 9th and 10th, is also closely observing the situation. Because of their busy schedule, YG Entertainment has not yet made a decision to attend the festival, despite the overwhelming fan requests to see their artists in the UK. YG Entertainment commented, “Our attendance at this point is uncertain.”

IU and KARA’s Han Seungyeon wore the same dress but both pulled off different looks.
The outfit that IU and Seungyeon wore was a white mini dress with light blue star prints. However, they mixed and matched the dress with different accessories, bringing their own distinct flavor and personality through the dress.
IU recently wore this dress for SBS’s ‘Inkigayo‘, where she reformed the dress by adding a blue belt and layering it with white laces. She made a finishing touch to her cute princess look by tying her hair into pigtails and pinning her bangs with a white hairpin.
Meanwhile, Han Seungyeon wore the dress to fellow KARA member Nicole’s cookie tasting event. She accentuated the natural look to the dress and let her short hair hang loose, intensifying her sophisticated, and feminine image.
Netizens commented, “It’s the same dress but IU looks cute and Han Seungyeon looks feminine“, ”The dress is prettier with a belt” and “They’re both alluring“.

Some of the top Hallyu stars will be coming to New York in October!
The free concert from KBS, open to all ages, will be held on October 9th 2011 at Randall’s Island Park in New York and will feature many top artists, the tentative list includes TVXQ, Wonder Girls,2PM, B2ST, SHINee, Se7en, Sistar19, Lee Hyori, and 4Minute! (*Note: the lineup may change)
The concert will begin at around 7:00PM and is estimated to bring in about 10,000 fans.
The concert will promote the globalization of Korean culture through live music and performances in the US, but will also be featured in South Korea through a broadcast by KBS.

Earlier this year on June 11th, KARA held their 2nd official fan meeting in Seoul’s indoor Jamsil Gymnasium which brought much excitement to their fans.
However, fans who couldn’t attend were disappointed as the event wasn’t televised, but that’s no longer the case as the entire show recently aired on Japanese television.
During the fan meeting, the five girls talked honestly with their fans and performed eight of their hit songs, including ‘Jumping‘, ‘Mister‘, and ‘Lupin.’ In addition, Rainbow appeared at KARA’s fan meeting as special guests and performed ‘A‘ and ‘To Me.’
This fan meeting was filled with much emotion as it was their first fan meeting since reports of the group’s possible break up and contract disputes arose earlier in the year.

T-ara, who is currently receiving much love for their song “Roly Poly“, were special guests on the summer vacation special ‘A Best Friend is Necessary‘ for SBS Power FM’s ‘Choi Hwa Jung’s Power Time” on August 12th.
When DJ Choi Hwa Jung asked the girls about their first kiss, T-ara didn’t hold back and shared their experiences, drawing the attention of the listeners.
Eunjung explained, “I had my first kiss with my first boyfriend before I even debuted. I went to a cafe with my boyfriend, they naturally placed us in a couple’s section where the curtains were drawn. At that time, I had hurt my leg so I was walking around with crutches, but for some reason, I felt like I had to go to the couple’s section.”
She confessed, “The mood was set naturally, so I had my first kiss, but I was so shocked that I started tearing up afterwards. My boyfriend felt very sorry.”
To this, the other members asked, “Why would you cry?” – drawing much laughter in the studio.
Along with Eunjung’s story, each member shared their first kiss experience: Jiyeon had her first kiss in front of her house, Soyeon had hers at an amusement park, and Qri had her first kiss in a car.
Maknae (youngest) Hwayoung even confessed, “I innocently had mine in front of school” – surprising her other members with the news.
As 4minute nears their comeback date in Japan, more and more teasers are being revealed to build up anticipation for their new single.
A Japanese talk show recently aired a quick preview of the girls’ “Heart to Heart” music video, which features some new dance shots as well as individual member profiles. It looks like there may not be a storyline in this version, but stay tuned for more updates!

On last week’s episode of SBS’s ‘Running Man‘, four lovely girl group members (T-ara’s Jiyeon,miss A’s Suzy, and f(x)’s Luna & Sulli) were invited to participate as guest stars on the show.
This week, however, the ‘Running Man’ members were shocked and petrified to find four very different guests. The boys walked on set to find four veteran entertainers, all much older than the ‘Running Man’ stars. They were none other than An Moon Suk, Kim Suk, Shin Bong Sun, and Yang Jung Ah.
The members took a single look at their guests and hilariously took flight before even giving the ladies a proper hello when they realize what had transpired over the night.
Kim Suk made the situation even funnier by joking, “I woke up at the crack of dawn to do my make-up for two hours and even put on my best outfit to be on the show… and this is how they react??”
Yoo Jae Suk continued evoking laughter by saying that the girls on last week’s show giggled ever so sweetly, but the ladies this week roared deep, hearty chuckles.
This episode of ‘Running Man’ will air on August 14th.
