4minute’s Gayoon and Jiyoon goof around with a camera

4minute’s Jiyoon and Gayoon recently showed off their playful sides.

On July 27th, Jiyoon tweeted, “I won’t be able to use Twitter in a few days. So I’m tweeting a lot starting today.” She then uploaded a picture of her and her group member goofing around with the camera.

In the picture, the idols are seen smiling brightly while posing with side-by-side. The two also showed off their comedic sides by pretending to pose like mummies, closing their eyes and having their mouths agape for the shot.

Fans commented, “You two are so cute“, “Why can’t you use Twitter?“, and “Wow so pretty.

Son Dambi vs. f(x)’s Krystal: Who will take the #1 spot on this week’s “Kiss & Cry”?

The battle is on for this week’s episode of SBS’s “Kiss & Cry“, as viewers focus their attention on the top two rivals of the show, Son Dambi and f(x)’s Krystal.

Krystal, who achieved 1st place in the third round of the contest, made a perfect transformation into Keira Knightley for this week’s “OST” concept by dancing to an OST track from the blockbuster hit, “Pirates of the Carribean”.

Together with her ‘Jack Sparrow’, the couple displayed a fantastic performance filled with sword fights and full-body lifts, leaving the audience and judges greatly impressed.

Krystal’s biggest rival, Son Dambi, dressed up in a beautifully modified qipao gown to match their dance concept, which was based around the Chinese hit film, “In The Mood For Love“.

Her captivating gaze and hot red lipstick helped Son Dambi wow crowd, as she boldly moved to a Pussycat Dolls remix. Despite an awkward situation where Son Dambi experienced a slight wardrobe malfunction with her partner’s pants, the couple managed to pull off a completely professional routine.

KARA’s Seungyeon shows off her baby-faced beauty

KARA’s Han Seungyeon recently uploaded selca pictures that displayed her baby-faced beauty.

On July 28th, Seungyeon shared the pictures through her Twitter, and wrote, “On the way to my schedule. I really don’t know how long it will take. I’ve only ever lived in Seoul, but this is my first time seeing it like this. I hope everyone is safe. Fighting!”

Seungyeon is seen looking into the camera with cute expressions on her face. Netizens were especially attracted to the fact that Seungyeon looked much younger than her actual age.

They commented, “Really cute”, “Seriously, how old are you?”, and “Come back safely.”

Music Bank to spread its wings to US, China,Europe and Vietnam


KBS 2TV’s music programme “Music Bank” will be spreading the Korean Wave fever to the US, China and Europe through its World Tour.

KBS entertainment director Jeon JinGuk revealed, “We are preparing for Music Bank World Tour” when he met the reporters at Yeoio-do in Seoul on the 27th of July.

According to Director Jeon JinGuk, KBS will be bringing its large-scale K-pop concert to New York (October 2011), China (November 2011), Vietnam and Europe (in 2011).

He also said, “The concert in China will be an extended version of the Korea-China Song Festival. The timing for a concert in Vietnam will be just right as it coincides with the 20th anniversary of Korea-Vietnam Diplomatic Ties and therefore, we will have a big Korean Wave concert in Ho Chi Minh City.”

He added, “KBS is also having further discussions with the European organizers on the concert, where popularity of Korean celebrities is raising rapidly.”

On the other hand, ‘Music Bank’ is expanding towards being the representative of all music programmes in Korea with more than 70 countries broadcasting the programme simultaneously. Recently, ‘Music Bank in Tokyo: Kpop Festival’ was held in Tokyo Dome, Japan and the successful huge-scale concert attracted about 43,000 fans.

KBS’s ‘Music Bank’ prepares for a world tour

Gyuri, Hyun Woo and Hara were MCs for the recent Music Bank in Tokyo event

On July 27th, representatives of KBS’s ‘Music Bank’ met with reporters and announced that they’ll be taking the popular music program on a world tour!

Starting this October, KBS will be kicking off their world tour in New York, before heading off to China for November; they’ll then tackle Vietnam and Europe in 2012. This large-scale K-Pop concert will be held under the title, ‘Music Bank’.

Director Jun Jin Guk revealed, “In the case of China, the ‘Korean Chinese Gayo Festival’, which we’ve been running for the past 10 years, will be expanded for ‘Music Bank’. For Vietnam, we’ll be celebrating 20 years of Korean and Vietnamese diplomatic relations by opening a Hallyu concert in Ho Chi Minh City.”

Since Europe has been headlining in Korean news due to their strong interest in the Hallyu wave, and representatives of KBS are said to be keeping tabs on the phenomenon.

The director went on to reveal, “Following the Hallyu wave, local concert representatives have been making visits to KBS to discuss the possibility of holding a concert there.”
