Yoochun transforms into a tough detective for MBC’s ‘I Miss You’

JYJ‘s Yoochun has transformed into a tough detective for his role in the new MBC drama ‘I Miss You‘.

In a still cut revealed on the 13th, a bruised Yoochun appears to be threatening someone. Yoochun plays the role of ‘Han Jung Woo’ who lost his first love through a series of cases and becomes a detective to find the perpetrator.

A representative from ‘I Miss You’ stated, “As he plays a homicide detective, he displayed his wild and fierce [side]. Please look forward to plenty of Yoochun’s exciting action scenes [as the story unravels].”

SHINee and KARA certified gold status in Japan

Idol groups SHINee and KARA have nabbed gold title in Japan with their latest single albums. 

According to the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ) on November 12th, SHINee’s “Dazzling GIrl” (produced by Jeff Miyahara) achieved the Gold Certification for shipping out over 100,000 albums, reaching up to second place on the Oricon Weekly Chart.

KARA’s “Electric Boy” received the same status for selling over 100,000 albums. In fact, “Electric Boy” sold 57,942 albums in the first week of sales alone, which was enough to clinch second place on the Oricon Weekly Chart.

Proving their record-selling power in Japan, SHINee and KARA are handful of artists gaining big popularity in both Korea and Japan.

2NE1 updates fans with a funny photo

On November 10, Sandara Park posted on her me2day "LA" together with a funny photo.

This photo was taken after the 'SBS K-pop Super Concert in America'.

In the photo, the members of 2NE1 pose in various funny expressions on the bed. In particular, Bom is playing with CL's waist while CL is busy with her Super Man pose .

2PM reveals special clip for “What Time Is It?” live tour

After treating fans with a series of individual and group posters, 2PM is back with more goodies, releasing a special clip for their upcoming “What Time Is It?” live tour.

Released on the group’s official Youtube channel, the 42-second clip features footage of the members’ photo shoot for their concert posters. The boys are posing proudly in stylish black leather outfits and giving their fierce and charismatic looks.

The special clip also includes the captions; “My heart.. My heart, is still looking at you.”

2PM to release a ‘Clothes Album’ allowing fans to listen to music through special 2PM apparel

JYP Entertainment will be releasing an album titled ‘2PM Clothes Album‘, which will actually let fans access the new music through special clothing.

The ‘Clothes Album’ will be in the form of clothing that has content codes attached onto it. When the codes are scanned through a smartphone, a special application can be accessed that lets fans listen to2PM songs. The ‘Clothes Album’ will include Nichkhun‘s “Let It Rain“, Taecyeon‘s “It’s Time“,Jun.K‘s “Alive“, Wooyoung‘s “Sexy Lady“, Junho‘s “Just a Feeling“, and Chansung‘s “Love U Down“. All songs except “Alive” and “Sexy Lady” are songs that will be officially released for the first time through the ‘Clothes Album’.

The ‘Clothes Album’ will be available through 10 items including t-shirts, hoodies, caps, and mufflers, and fans who buy the ‘Clothes Album’ will be given a complementary ’2PM Eco Bag‘. The album will also include unseen photos of the 2PM members, and will be continuously updated with new information about the members.

JYP Entertainment said, “2PM’s ‘Clothes Album’ is a new JYP Entertainment business model that distributes music through the clothing platform. We hope fans who love 2PM will be able to enjoy 2PM’s music and other contents through the ‘Clothes Album’. We will be working hard with various clothing and fashion enterprises to achieve a platform that JYP Entertainment can distribute domestically and overseas through clothes.”

Song Ji Hyo displays her athleticism on ‘Running Man’

Actress and ‘Running Man’ cast member Song Ji Hyo lived up to her ‘Ace’ designation on the latest episode, where the cast and guests played a frenetic game of ‘superpower baseball’.

As Song Ji Hyo stood on first base, pitcher Ryu Hyun Jin stepped to the mound to pitch when he noticed the actress trying to sneakily steal her way to second base. Although he quickly turned around and lobbed the ball towards first base, Song Ji Hyo dived back to base before the ball could reach her, landing on her stomach.

“What kind of actress does a slider?” Lee Kwang Soo and the others exclaimed in amazement, as Song Ji Hyo was deemed to be ‘safe’.

Yoochun sings with all his heart on ‘I Miss You’

JYJ‘s Yoochun picked up a microphone for ‘I Miss You‘.

The MBC drama revealed a still cut with a microphone in hand. The ‘I Miss You’ staff said, “The scene with Yoochun holding a microphone is the linking the story from the child actors to the adult actors. The clue is in the episodes with the younger characters. It’s the first scene with the adult Han Jung Woo, so we hope viewers look forward to what kind of story will be told“.

Yoochun made his first appearance on ‘I Miss You’ for a short time at the end of the 2nd episode, saying, “I’m just going to wait today. I’m going to go crazy like this“.

2NE1‘s Park Bom was recently spotted with cameras filming her in Los Angeles, California.

A photo of Park Bom in a tight one piece dress with a hot pink cape was recently uploaded online. The photo was uploaded by a fan who lived in Los Angeles, who wrote, “Park Bom filmed a music video right in front of my house. I opened the window because 2NE1-style music was playing loudly outside. I saw Park Bom with a pink cape walking back and forth to the music on the street. There were about 20 male staff members filming with her.”

Cho Seongmo and MBLAQ G.O Excellently Perform ‘Gwanghwamun Sonata’ at Shin-kabuki Theater, Osaka

Korean Musical ‘Gwanghwamun Sonata’ was premiered on November 10 at Shin-kabuki Theater in Osaka and Cho Seongmo, MBLAQ’s G.O and other main casts responded to interviews. This musical is a love story performed with composer, Lee Younghoon’s masterpieces. It is a story of a woman and two men, the first time to be performed in Japan.

Cho Seongmo, acting as a man who wishes happiness for his most loving woman while he chooses to step aside, said “No other man is better than Sanghoon. It was hard to act because it was a character unlike me,” with a bitter smile. G.O, who acted as a younger man who will eventually take over his ex-girlfriend, said “My personality is close to that of Sanghoon’s, but I worked hard to get close to my character so I might have become more manly.”

Performances in Osaka will end on December 12. In January 2013 the musical is scheduled to be shown at Meiji Theater in Tokyo.

Debuted in Korea in 2008. Nicknamed "Beastly-dols" due to their wild and beautiful manly moves, jumped straight to becoming a top star. Although they had never dubuted in Japan, they attracted 25,000 people to their live showcases in both countires. Debuted in Japan with the song, "Take Off", and this created the record for the most number of singles sold in the first wek by a KPOP group in history. Thereafter, all that they touched was gold. Apart from their own individual participation in Japanese and Korean dramas, they also had a Live Tour that played for 100,000 people, had a great success at their June concert in Budokan, and are currently preparing for a 150,000 people tour in their 2013 Arena Tour. Their new single "Masquerade" will release on the 14th, and their movie with their brothers, 2AM, called "Beyond the ONEDAY - Story of 2PM and 2AM" will be released on DVD starting from the 12th.

A. The more we film, the more interesting it is. My hope is that, when everyone watches the broadcast of our program, they will be able to learn Korean happily.

A. To hold a "Superstar Concert", hahaha.

Q. When learning Korean, which 2PM song would you suggest as background music?
A. I don't recommend 2PM's music. When you listen to it, you'll focus only on the songs!

A. Among 2PM's songs, there is one that I composed, called "Hot". This song has the line "a passionate heart, and an energizing mind portion". This heart is warm and emotional, and the mind is rational.

His charm is his beast-like rap, and he appeared in "Dream High", as well as the Japanese drama "99 Days Past Me and the Stars".

A. Filming has always been enjoyable. In the process the staff are always working very hard, and I am thankful for that, and because of them I always look forward to each recording!

A. As sketches are very interesting, I would like to try out more of them!

A. "Don't Stop Can't Stop"! If you can still focus on learning Korean amidst such loud music, I think you're already pretty good at Korean!

Wooyoung

With the album "23, Male, Single", he is the first one in 2PM to have a solo debut! Singing, dancing, acrobatics are all his forte. He has appeared in "Dream High".

A. I always felt it happy and interesting, and I'm especially glad that fans can join in happily! When acting out the sketches, I will always think of ways to make them more interesting.

A. I feel that it's becoming more and more interesting. I feel that in filming sketches and working hard to find new ways to make it interesting is a very enjoyable task.

KNIT - Wearing knitwear which is the talk of the season in a chic style

The popular 5 member group, SHINee is known for their skillful singing and performance. They're also known as a fashion icon and now will appear in every issue of JILLE for a short period. In each volume, two of the members will talk on various topics including their thoughts towards each other and fashion. Onew and Taemin took the honor to appear in the first volume.

Let's put more effort to talk to each other from now on

Taemin: It's been 6 years since we first met, hasn't it?

Onew: Taemin was just a kid then. You were wearing a school uniform and your hair was just like how a student's should be. You really gave off such a gentle aura. I thought you were cute then.

Taemin: It's different now, isn't it?

Onew: Yeah. You're different now. Not only are you cute, you have become manly now.

Taemin: (Victory pose) Usually, people who meet me for the first time say that I'm cute or that I seem easy to get along with since I smile a lot. I'm not supposed to say this myself, but I think usually they're of good impressions.

Onew: I've been told that I look cold though...

Taemin: I think in your case, you leave different impressions in different situations. There are two sides to you after all. Your serious face leaves a strong impression. When you smile, the impression is completely different. The one who said that you look cold probably saw you when you weren't smiling. Among the five of us, I think Jonghyun, Key, and you are those who might leave strong impressions.

Onew: I see. It's probably like that.

Taemin: We're being the complete opposite lately, aren't we? I'm the youngest and overflowing with energy but you're already getting old and there's not much time left... Joking! (laugh) Sorry, I was kidding. We both play important roles in the group, don't we? I just have to follow leader Onew and do my part as the maknae. I think then the other members will lead me well too.

Onew: It'd be great if it were like that (laugh). In SHINee, everyone knows their role very well so we're all doing just fine. In your case, I can feel it from the way you think or talk that the words you chose reflect your maturity. I even think that there's a lot to learn from you.

Taemin: Really? (Straighten up)

Onew: Yeah. I think we both play the role of the listener, don't we? Even before our debut, we would listen to everyone's words. But with the increase in activities, we've become busier and our chances to consult each other have decreased. That's quite a shame.

Taemin: I think it's the same within a family. When we're together for too long. we somehow don't talk to each other that much anymore. I think it's probably because we've been around each other too much that we tend to talk less.

Onew: That's why I've been thinking that we should put more effort to talk with each other from now on.

Taemin: That's right. So there's something I'd like to share with you right away. Will you listen to me? Recently, there are so many things that I'd like to learn. I'd like to learn about composing songs and I really want to improve musically. I want to do sports too. Lately, I've been into soccer. Do you have anything that you want to do at the moment?

Onew: Let's see. I want to be on the stage. If it's possible, I'd like to try being an MC or a DJ!

Be careful of the velcro strap when wearing knitwear! (laugh)

Onew: We wore knitwear for today's photoshoot. I actually like knitted tops. People say that I look good in it too. If we think about it practically, you get warmer when you wear knitted clothes. That's why when winter comes, I feel like wearing knitwear right away.

Taemin: You definitely have the image of wearing knitted clothes and I think it does suit you. I really like the one I wore for this photoshoot that I feel like getting one for myself. I am the type who keeps wearing the same clothes if I am really fond of it. I think that's why there was a time I became attached to knitted clothing.

Onew: You have the tendency to be like that after all. Knitwear gets caught onto other things so you don't feel like matching it with sneakers with velcro straps, right?

Taemin: Huh, but it's a top, It won't get stuck with shoes though?

Onew: No, it can get stuck, you know! So be careful of shoes with velcro straps as well after this (laugh). So what kind of cautions do you take when you wear knitwear?

Taemin: Choosing the one that fits my body size rather than loose one, I guess.

Onew: I see.

Taemin: As for girls, they look cute in one piece knits, don't they? The one that you can barely see their collar bone in.

Onew: Yeah, I like that too!

Taemin: I like it when girls wear a one piece, even if it's not a knitted one. Like, a white dress with flamboyant patterns printed on it. Don't you think girls who can wear that kind of dress well and pull it off actually look quite feminine?

Onew: I know! So to all JILLE's readers, I'd like you to have fun trying to match not only one piece dresses, but other kinds of knitwear as well for winter fashion.

Park Yoochun “Music is still precious to me”

Many would ask, now, we only label Park Yoochun as an actor, but what about the Micky Yoochun from the past, who is music to the ears? Pertaining to this “voices” (T/N: comments), Yoochun have revealed his innermost thoughts.

“I have always loved music, since young and even up til now, music has always had a special existence to me (T/N: purpose or place in my heart). Be it when I am swimming or exercising, I would have music playing on my speaker. I would also have my earpiece on, as and when. I simply cannot imagine what I would do if I am to live in a space (T/N: time) where music do not exist. I would lose the motivation to do anything at all.”

Yoochun would be all hyped up when dwelling on the topic of music. This is possible proof that he (T/N: Yoochun) does have the musical calling in him.

“Of late, the songs that keep repeating themselves on my mobile phone belong to Junsu. I wouldn’t lie to you (T/N: frankly speaking), this album of Junsu’s is great no matter how you listen to it. I applaud the person (T/N: Junsu) who can complete such a breath-taking album. At the same time, he is one of JYJ’s members, and that makes me proud.”

Is he (T/N: Junsu) not known as the “top grade voice”. First (T/N: the best)? This makes everyone look forward to listening to his (T/N: Junsu) future production. Yoochun revealed, “production is still on its way!”
