Chansung admits he has the best body amongst the members

2PM member Chansung revealed his killer abs on ‘Radio Star‘.

Entertainer Cho Young Goo, composer Joo Young Hoon, singer Jun Hae Bin, and 2PM’s Chansung guest-featured on the ‘Athletic Body’ special of MBC‘s ‘Radio Star’ on February 29th.

In regards to why Chansung was chosen to be on the show amongst the 2PM members who all happen to be incredibly fit, MC Yoo Sae Yoon guessed that Chansung seemed like he had the most free time, and he would be one to throw out hilarious, thoughtless answers.

Chansung responded,”Both your guesses are correct. I had a free slot in my schedule, so I came here.”

And when asked who was the most buff 2PM member, Chansung answered, “It depends, it’s a different member all the time.”

Jun Hae Bin then added that the member with the most time on their hands should have the best body, and Chansung acknowledged her statement by saying, “Right now, I have the best body,” causing everyone to erupt in laughter.

HershE struggles with disbandment

The tenth episode of ‘Dream High 2‘ concentrated on the idol sphere, in which it brought out an issue in the entertainment world, group disbandment and its ramifications, and began Nana’s journey (SISTAR‘s Hyorin) to her dreams.

After Nana’s vocal problems worsen during the super idol audition, she visits the hospital and learns of heartbreaking news. Her vocal cords have deteriorated due to her neglect as Nana had brushed it aside as a minor cold. As she is diagnosed with vocal fold cyst, the doctor gives her the option of undergoing surgery. However, the side effects of the surgery include a shorter pitch range and a different vocal tone.

Pained by the possibility of not being able to retain her pure voice, her gift, Nana submits a withdrawal letter to her teacher and is hospitalized. After Rian (T-ara‘s Jiyeon) discovers that Nana is in the same hospital as her, she tries to comfort her thinking Nana only has a cold. However, Nana coldly shrugs off Rian’s helping hand, creating a fissure between their shaky friendship and teamwork. Nana’s journey in confronting her dreams is even more shaken by President Lee’s decision to possibly disband HershE.

With Nana and Rian both in the hospital and their relationships with HershE splintering, President Lee decides to disband them to place them as the super idol contestants, much to the outrage of Teacher Ji Soo (After School‘s Kahi) and JB. Although Rian and her mother are upset, Rian hurriedly runs out of her hospital room to search for Nana, only to find her missing. After Si Woo (Park Seo Joon) and Rian frantically look for her, they finally find her in the corner of the practice room.

As Nana begins to cry, “Singing was everything, the sound was everything. I lost it“, Rian responds angrily, “Why is singing everything? Why is [your] voice everything? What about me? Ailee? If HershE breaks up, is it the end for us? Aren’t we friends?” JB and Ailee also join in and encourage Nana to find her dream again, to have hope for her surgery. To embolden Nana, and to stand up against HershE’s disbandment, JB announces to the crowd that HershE will continue united and holds an impromptu performance of g.o.d‘s “One Candle” with the other idols.

‘Dream High 2′ took a step backward in the board game of winning my love and adulation with this little arc. The conflict of Nana opens up its problems, themes of friendship and teamwork, and then… resolves it in about ten minutes. While I personally don’t want to compare the first ‘Dream High’ with the second production, as I strongly believe that each should stand on its own, Nana’s confrontation with having her dream annihilated corresponds very much with Sam Dong‘s realization of possibly being deaf, destroying his dream to sing. But again, ‘Dream High 2′ fails to bring us that emotional passion, that relationship with the character in wanting to see her succeed, hoping to open the light to her path.

Putting acting criticism aside, the storyline fails to fully compose the character of Nana. Yes, we saw her in the showcase episodes when Hong Joo gave up the stage for her and she had vocal problems, but she was too much of a one-dimensional character. The Nana who turns in her withdrawal letter contrasts too much from the optimistic character we had known. Most importantly though, the plot doesn’t emphasize Nana’s conflict with her dreams, the anguish and bitterness in attempting to search for a light of hope but only to become more dejected.

However, the integration of JB’s lesson of friendship and teamwork, when he had cast aside Si Woo so easily before, was very fitting to the Nana sequence. The true emotional part was when the idols remember their joyful and carefree past, their first meetings and the friendships they had instantly created, contrasting from their present cracked relationships. In addition, I loved the improptu g.o.d performance, paralleling the “We are the B” performance by Team B, as both JB and Hyesung demonstrated their transformation. Had the writers prolonged the HershE sequence and weaved it throughout various episodes, rather than clumping it in just one, the painting of the idol world would have been much more coherent.

Park Gyuri tweets about her vocal cord surgery

KARA’s Park Gyuri spoke out about the her vocal cord surgery after her operation.

Gyuri tweeted “Why are my vocal cords so stressed? I’m afraid to even voice a sound.” Later she added, “I’m already crying this early in the day. Agh..”

Gyuri was diagnosed last November and completed her surgery on February 21st. She has halted all her schedules to recover.

Netizens replied with encouraging words, “Noona, feel better!“, “A singer’s gold is her voice“, and “We hope to see you healthy again on stage!”

Eunjung shares a photo from Tokyo

T-ara’s Eunjung shared a recent selca from Tokyo.

On February 28th, Eunjung posted via Twitter, “Was this on a day after doing location shoots and photoshoots for 4 different magazines? I’m welcoming Spring in Tokyo. How’s it in Seoul? I’m coming back soon. I miss everyone”.

In the photo attached to the post, Eunjung is holding up a peace sign while smiling at the mirror. Whether it’s because of her hair covering her face or the angle, it seems that Eunjung has lost a lot of fat on her face. Although Eunjung matured a lot from her child actress days, she had always kept her chubby cheeks.

KARA member Han Seungyeon's unexpected abs currently creating a stir amongst netizens.

Recently, photo of Seungyeon taken from KARA’s independent concert held on February 18th to 19th at Seoul’s Olympic Park has been uploaded online.

Seungyeon is seen packing unexpected abs, peeking through her shirt. Fan were surprised as the star's body is exactly the opposite of her adorable and baby faced image.

Leeteuk bares his legs at the gym

Leeteuk of Super Junior bared his legs for a photo at the gym recently, and left fans in awe over his pretty legs.

Leeteuk tweeted, “I’m not missing pants~ I just hid my bottoms!! That’s right!! It got hot while I was exercising so I rolled up my sweatpants and transformed into the ultimate hot pants person! It’s just funny. Kekeke.”

While Leeteuk was busy laughing at his picture, his female fans were busy comparing their own legs to his – lamenting at the fact that the singer possessed a prettier pair of legs than theirs.

Eunhyuk reveals how he injured his finger on ‘Strong Heart’

Super Junior‘s Eunhyuk appeared on the February 28th broadcast of SBS TV’s  ’Strong Heart‘ with a bandaged finger, which drew the attention of viewers and fellow guests alike.

When asked about his finger, Eunhyuk revealed that he had injured his finger while trying to open a can of corn. MC Lee Seung Gi questioned him, asking, “Did you really hurt yourself trying to open a can of corn?” to which Eunhyuk replied, “Yes, really.” He then revealed that he cut his finger on the can, and that he had to go to the emergency room where he received five stitches.

Eunhyuk had tweeted on the 17th, “I didn’t want people to worry so I tried to keep it hush-hush, but it looks like there’s already been an article about it. Actually, I kept it hush-hush because I was embarrassed…anyway, the bandages are off and I’m fine! Please be careful when opening cans.”

That must have been one tough can of corn, but we’re glad that Eunhyuk’s okay!
