Sohyun reflects on 4minute’s second year anniversary

On June 18th, 4minute’s maknae Sohyun left a post on their official fancafe celebrating the group’s second anniversary.

Her post read:

“Two years have already passed since 4minute debuted. There’s been a lot of obstacles since then, but it was because of our fans that we were able to find strength.

This album was our first in a while so we were under a lot of stress, which naturally affected our health. Our fans’ support was a lot of help, so even though we didn’t promote for a long time, it was a really fun album for us.

There are fans that are upset over our short promotion cycle, but our goal this time was to let everyone know what color 4minute is. I do feel upset in that we weren’t able to promote for a bit longer and be with our fans on music programs more.

In celebration of our second year anniversary, I’m going to go back to our dorms and watch everything starting from our debut stage before bed. I will be the only one watching them, so I hope you guys will only watch our best stages. It’s embarrassing.”

Although 4minute originally planned to throw an event with their fans, they’ve instead decided to hold a small party on their own due to HyunA’s injury and schedule.

Cube Entertainment said, “The members will come together after completing their personal schedules today. A lot of fans have sent us cakes and photobooks to congratulate the girls on their anniversary.”

SISTAR’s Hyorin vs. Jun Ji Hyun vs. T-ara’s Jiyeon: Wardrobe Battle Royale

Netizens have recently noticed that these three beautiful ladies have all been caught in the same denim vest!

SISTAR’s Hyorin and T-ara’s Jiyeon were spotted wearing the vest at the airport and on MBC’s “Bouquet“, respectively, and the vest was also seen on Jun Ji Hyun last month in her pictorial forHigh Cut.

Although the vests are similar, each star gives a different feel and style to the clothes.

So who wore it best?

Hyorin’s striped dress combined with the vest is a simple, casual everyday look. I love that the vest helps the dress look casual and vice versa. The two pieces compliment each other nicely! Plus, her outfit is a great choice for the airport, as it is comfortable yet still fashionable.

Jun Ji Hyun’s vest is slightly different than the others, but it still has the same look and feel. Since her photo is in a pictorial, her style is more unconventional than the other two. The vest’s tail ends slightly tucked into her jeans helps draw focus to a slim waist we all can envy. Although she looks great, this outfit would not work so well realistically. That’s somewhat obvious since she is not wearing anything underneath, but also because the vest paired with the jeans is just denim overkill!

Lastly, T-ara’s Jiyeon shows a cute and younger style, as she styles the vest with a flower print dress. This is a great spring season look, but personally I would have preferred a cardigan or light-colored blazer because a denim vest seems too heavy for a dress like this.

In my opinion, SISTAR’s Hyorin wins this Wardrobe Battle Royale!

Her look is simple, effortless, and comfortable.

Who do you think wins this round of Wardrobe Battle Royale?!

70,000 fans sign up for T-ara’s debut showcase in Japan!

As previously reported, T-ara will be holding a Japanese showcase at the AX Hall in Shibuya on July 5th, and it’s been revealed that over 70,000 fans have submitted request forms to attend!

Only 1,500 fans will be invited, so fans will be up against some fierce competition. J-ROCK, their label, has revealed plans of promoting T-ara as actresses, MCs, singers, and movie stars. As such, fans can expect an explosive debut coming from the T-ara girls in the coming months.

HyunA performs on “Dancing With the Stars” + other performances

On June 17th, MBC’s “Dancing With the Stars” broadcast its first live episode at the MBC Dream Center in Ilsan.

4minute’s HyunA and her partner, Nam Gi Yong, were the fourth contestants up and performed a stunning jive dance that captivated the audience for a full 10 minutes. Despite her busy schedule and injury, HyunA wowed judges with her flawless performance.

Judge Kim Joo Won commented, “No matter what she does, she’s able to bring her own flair to it. Her leg movement was very detailed, and I could tell that she put a lot of work into it.”

Nam Kyung Joo said, “It was a performance that really played up HyunA’s strengths, but there wasn’t much of a difference compared to last week’s stage.”

Hwang Sun Woo concluded, “It fit well with the jive image. The distance between her and her partner was a bit disappointing. I think they could’ve also worked on their interaction with the audience.”

HyunA admitted that she was still in the process of getting to know her partner. The two ended up earning a final score of 17 points.

First place went to Kim Gyuri, who scored a total of 22 points, while Lee Seul Ah, who came in with 15 points, was met with a tearful elimination.
