f(x)'s Victoria is 100% real in ''We Got Married''?

f(x)’s members claim that Victoria is displaying her real personality in MBC’s “We Got Married”.

f(x) recently stated in OSEN’s interview that they “laughed a lot” as they viewed “We Got Married” because “Victoria’s real personality was showing through”. Luna added that “she especially likes to cook and her usual cute personality is displayed”.

Victoria said that she is “Enjoying the popularity of the show ‘We Got Married’ and that the ladies in the supermarket acknowledge me from the show. I am surprised young students don’t recognize me while older people do”.

She added “It was an entertainment program I wanted to try out, and I learned a lot from it. I think I performed well”.

Victoria is currently playing the role of Nick Koon’s wife in “We Got Married”, and her unique speech and cute personality that is displayed is gaining a lot of popularity.

Kara surpassed BoA and ranked the top on the chart for two weeks

On the 6th, “Jet Coaster Love” gained popularity…girl group Kara surpassed Boa’s 355,000 copyright sale record breakthrough countdown.

On the 20th, Japan’s record association announced the charged copyright citation stating that with only two songs “Mister” (150,000) and “Jumping” (100,000), they hit over 250,000 in sales. If the most recent 3rd single “Jet Coaster Love” is added on to this, the record will most likely go over 300,000.

Kara dominated Oricon’s chart with their 3rd single on the 12th and was recognized as a strong seller in album sales. However, their strength only made them stand out more in Japanese album sales. This is easily observed upon looking back at their history.

During the last 11 years of pursuing her singing career, Boa sold 355,00 albums with only 6 songs. It is predicted that Kara will easily surpass this kind of record. They have already hit 250,000 with 2 songs and the performance of “Jet Coaster Love” dominated 1st in Japan’s main charts the past 2 weeks including Reckchalkoo, Mora, Musico, and Music Japan and continue to raise momentum. Kara’s rival Nisiko Kana made 1st place with 500,000 sales last year in album sales, but their recent momentum seems to make it more worth the effort.

In the case of “Mister”, the division record ringtones of Boa’s “Winter Love” made a record tie of 75,000. In the PC distribution sector, Japan’s advanced national singer first time “Mister” and “Jumping” such two songs were rated platinum at 25,000 album sales. Even Dong Bang Sing Ki (5 songs and 105,000 sales) and Girl’s Generation (2 songs and 80,000 sales) could not be compared to Kara’s record sales.

One entertainment official stated “Kara and other national female artist groups’ success in album sales and top placement in source charts are proving Japan’s young generation that Korean Pop music is gaining a lot of popularity”.

She said,

“At first, I was really worried. Since I’m a student and a celebrity, I thought, ‘What if they don’t view me in a nice way?’ Thankfully, professors and my fellow students are really nice to me and college life has been going well. I’ve been learning a lot of new things and it’s fun to discover new things. When I don’t have scheduled activities, I always go to school. Because of our recent comeback however, I’ve been too busy to go to school. The professors have been really understanding about it. I’m very thankful of that.

HyunA is currently in the midst of “Mirror Mirror” promotions with 4minute.

Cube Entertainment artists come together for ‘HEART FOR EYE’ in ‘HIGH CUT’

‘Boyfriend idols’ B2ST, charismatic girl group 4minute, ’sexy queen’ G.NA, and ‘Superstar K2’s heroHeo Gak combined forces for a special project. Through the style magazine ‘HIGH CUT‘, the singers participated in a photoshoot for ‘HEART FOR EYE‘, a donation project to help blind children open their eyes to the bright world.

Cube Entertainment and ACube Entertainment’s 20 celebrities participated in the photoshoot, including A PINK and hip-hop artist Mario. It was hard gathering 20 people at once, but busy stars such as 4minute and G.NA came at once with bright smiles on their faces after completing their schedules at night. They also wore special ‘heart’ t-shirts, which have the meaning of ‘combining all hearts into one’. The stars also displayed their close relationships with each other during the shoot.

B2ST’s Doojoon stated his special reason for participating in this project, “I’m happy to participate in a photoshoot for a good purpose. My eyesight was really bad when I was little, so I wore glasses for 10 years starting from the 3rd grade. I couldn’t even distinguish people’s faces without wearing glasses and lens, so it was very uncomfortable. I hope young kids can find the happiness of seeing the world with two clear eyes.

The ‘HEART FOR EYE’ project started to raise funds to help blind children receive surgeries to gain their eyesight. All proceeds from the t-shirts will be donated to Samsung Seoul Hospital to be used for private surgeries and treatments.

The complete photoshoot can be seen in the 51st issue of ‘HIGH CUT’, which will be released on April 21st.

f(x) on their comeback, unique style, and learning Korean

After a year of hiatus, the ladies of f(x) finally made their return this week with the release of their first official album, “Pinocchio“! With their title track already sweeping the charts, the girls are happily preparing for their first comeback stage on “Music Bank“.

In their recent interview with OSEN, the girls were not only confident, but filled with excitement over their upcoming promotion cycle. Luna began, “Idols usually have synchronized choreographies, but we instead put the emphasis on timing. We want to be as detailed as possible with our expressions so that the lyrics can be better understood.”

The lyrics for “Pinocchio” compares the process of getting to know a crush to the process of putting together a Pinocchio doll. Like their past hits, the lyrics are just as convoluted and the sound is just as fresh.

The difference this time lies in the public’s reaction. Before, they had to replay their songs for a while in order to get a response, but now, they’ve been sweeping the charts even before they’ve come out to promote it.

Sulli commented, “I feel like our color has become a lot more clear. I’ve been reading a lot of replies about people liking our style. It feels great that people have accepted it and are even anticipating what we’ll bring next.”

The girls described themselves as a group that people naturally became curious about. “The more you look, the more you want to know who are.”

Luna continued, “We want to become a group that doesn’t stick to stereotypes. We want to be convoluted, a group that you can’t just put into one word or feeling.”

For the past year, the members have been each busily taking part in variety shows and musicals, but they all agreed that it was the stage that they missed the most.

Krystal revealed, “For last year’s year-end ceremonies, we stood on stage after such a long time that it made us all really nervous (laughter). I think that’s why I’m looking forward to this comeback more than ever.”

Victoria and Amber are still busily studying Korean. For Victoria, she revealed that she was learning a lot through her role in “We Got Married” and that she was glad to have garnered an older fanbase. Unfortunately for Amber, she’s forgotten most of her Korean during the six months she’s been away, so she’s back to hitting the books again.

Victoria commented, “It’s easier to write than to speak for me. It’s okay to plan it out in my bed and writing it out, but having to speak fast is still difficult.”

The members added, “We laugh a lot while watching ‘We Got Married’ because Victoria’s real personality shines right through. She loves cooking and her personality is very cute, which is reflected directly in the show.”

Victoria stated, “Lately, I’ve been feeling the popularity of ‘We Got Married’. A lot of older women have begun to notice me whenever I go to places like the supermarket. It’s really cool that the older generation has taken an interest. I’m glad that I was able to join the program since I’ve always wanted to be on it and I’m learning quite a lot.”

Amber concluded the interview by stating, “Korean is really hard but I want to study hard and become a VJ some day. I’m also going to continue pursuing music no matter what, so I hope people listen to f(x)’s music. Every song included in the track is of a different genre, so you’ll definitely never get bored.”
