KARA's new album debuts at No.1 in Japan!
MANILA, Philippines – Korean girl group KARA’s second Japanese album debuted at No. 1 on Japan’s Oricon chart.
On Nov. 23, KARA released their new album “Super Girl” in Japan and it quickly sold 73.076 copies on the first day.
Based on Oricon’s daily album chart, KARA is No. 1 followed by Japanese artists Nana Mizuki (19,271 copies of new album sold), Toshinobu Kubota (19,608 copies), rock band The Hiatus and Kiyoshi Hikawa.
KARA’s album also topped the iTunes Japan chart when the group released the digital version of “Super Girl.”
DSP Media, the group’s agency, announced that “Super Girl” has received 360,000 in pre-orders.
“Super Girl” includes KARA’s hit songs such as “Jet Coaster Love,” “Winter Magic,” and “Go Go Summer.”
KARA, 2NE1 and TVXQ are nominated in the 53rd Japan Record Awards.
KARA’s “Go Go Summer” and TVXQ’s “Why? (Keep Your Head Down)” are running for the best song of the year, or the Japan Record Award.
The two are the only Korean groups nominated in the category. They will be competing with Kana Nishino’s “Esperanza,” AAA’s “CALL,” JUJU’s “We Stop This Night,” Kaori Mizumori’s “In the Wind,” Kiyoshi Hikawa’s “Mariachi Passion,” Funky Monkey Babys’ “I Still Believe,” AKB48’s “Get Flying,” and Ikimono-gakari’s “Waratteitanda/NEW WORLD MUSIC.”
In the Newcomer of the Year award, 2NE1 will be competing with Super Girls, Fairies and Ito Miyu.
“Go Go Summer” is KARA’s fourth Japanese single. It achieved gold status in Japan for selling at least 100,000 copies.
According to the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ), the single also achieved double platinum status for selling 500,000 copies in ringtone downloads, platinum status for selling 250,000 in full-length cell phone downloads and another platinum status for selling 250,000 in PC downloads.
The Japan Record Awards, administered by the Japan Composers’ Association, will be held on Dec. 30.

5 Idol groups plan to hold concerts around Asia.
Super Junior, f(x), 2AM, Miss A and B1A4 are attending MO.A concert organized by CJ E&M Global Concert Brand M-Live.
MO.A is from ‘Most Amazing’, it started in 2010 with MULA (Mnet Ultimate Live in Asia). The concert is to spread K-POP and make it stable.
First stop, MO.A was held in Khaosung, Taiwan with the name ‘M-Live by CJ MO.A 2011 in Khaosung’ with Super Junior, f(x), Miss A and 2AM attending the event. The tickets have been sold out since last October.
Moreover, there will be MO.A in Kuala Lumpur and B1A4 is attending the event as well.
CJ E&M’s concert orgaziner said “Many people expect about the show in Kuala Lumpur. 2PM and Wonder Girls’ showcase had been held here last year and it shows us that there’s a posibility that more artists will come to promote here.
This concert is different from other Hallyu concerts, mini concert of each Idol group will take about 40 minutes. MO.A Producer said “With this high-quality stage, I’ve to focus about the expectations about K-POP even more”

Trouble Maker releases tracklist + teaser for their project album
Cube Entertainment‘s new project duo, Trouble Maker, has released the tracklist for their upcoming debut album!
Trouble Maker is comprised of labelmates HyunA from 4minute and B2ST‘s Hyunseung (who’ll be going by the moniker JS in this unit). The duo released a teaser through YouTube on November 25th, which also showcased the tracklist for their first album.
The full album will be released on December 1st. In the meantime, check out the tracklist and teaser below.

On November 26th, the duo get the private party started with their project mini album "Trouble Maker". This self-titled album features a collaboration with Shinsadong Tiger and Rado. It contains the hot title track "Trouble Maker" and a duet ballad "Words I Don't Wanna Hear". The album will also include HyunA and Hyunseung's solo songs "Time" and "I Don't Mind".

Performances from the ’32nd Blue Dragon Film Awards’
On November 25th, stars flocked to Kyunghee University’s Hall of Peace to take part in the ‘32nd Blue Dragon Film Awards‘.
Stars, directors, and the support staff that made movies so enjoyable were honored for their performances and outstanding work, the results for which you can read here. As for the special musical stages that night, idol groups Wonder Girls and T-ara each delivered performances of their songs, “Be My Baby” and “Cry Cry“, respectively.

4minute’s HyunA shares a picture from Vegas
4minute‘s HyunA is becoming a hot topic with her latest selca.
On November 25th, HyunA posted a few selcas through her Twitter, as she explained, “Go go rehearsal.”
The selca-addict shared a picture from the rehearsal room at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, where she and her fellow 4minute members are patiently waiting for their time on stage. HyunA appears to be wearing little to no makeup, which has netizens complimenting her on her flawless skin.
Comments included, “Really pretty. Perform well and come back soon!”, “Even from the morning, you are so busy. Fighting!”, “Your eyes look puffy. I hope you get some rest while working.”
4minute will be performing alongside other K-Pop stars at the ‘2011 Billboard K-POP Masters‘ concert in Las Vegas on November 25th and 26th.
HyunA & Hyunseung’s ‘Trouble Maker’ unit releases teaser photo
Cube Entertainment has kicked off its countdown for Trouble Maker‘s debut by releasing an image teaser today.
Trouble Maker is a special performance unit comprised of 4minute‘s HyunA and B2ST‘s Jang Hyunseung (a.k.a. JS). When it was revealed that these two idols would make up the unit, many in the music industry took notice and mused, “This is a unit that nobody could have imagined.”
In their teaser photo, HyunA and JS took sequenced shots arranged in such a way that it resembled an intricate dance. JS gave his trademark ‘cool-guy’ glare, which HyunA matched with a strong expression of her own. There’s no set concept yet, except to showcase bold confidence.
Trouble Maker will release their debut EP on December 1st, but stay tuned for more teasers from the duo.
