SHINee to release new Japanese single ‘Dazzling Girl’!

SHINee has just announced that they’ll be releasing a brand new Japanese single, ‘Dazzling Girl‘, later this year!

The single includes two tracks, “Dazzling Girl” and “Run with Me“, and will come in three versions: ‘First Limited Edition A’, ‘First Limited Edition B’, and ‘Normal Edition’.

‘Dazzling Girl’ is set for a October 10th JST release. In the meantime, check out what comes with each edition below.

KARA to be turned into artwork

KARA will be reborn as an art poster by the hands of famed Korean painters.

According to their agency, DSP Media, prominent realist painters Won Jong Shin and Park Ki Ill have launched a project to create art posters featuring the members of KARA as models.

The project is currently in its final stages and will be completed for a public exhibit in December at the TV12 gallery. The pieces will be part of their limited collection and will also be for sale to art lovers as well as KARA fans.

Won Jong Shin is a realist painter that will use a mixed media method of photographs and painting techniques for his piece and Park will use his own realist methods to draw the girls. 

Soyeon unable to return to "Haeundae Lovers" filming yesterday!

After being in a car accident, T-ara's Soyeon was supposed to return to KBS 2TV "Haeundae Lovers" drama shooting yesterday.

Core Contents Media said on the 16th to Star News, "Originally, Soyeon was thinking about returning to the 'Haeundae Lovers' drama shoot yesterday (15th) but because her health is in a state that hasn't completely recovered, it was eventually decided she would not participate in the filming."

They continued to say, "Soyeon is still in the hospital and will make a return when her health recovers. When she returns will be decided on how fast she recovers."Soyeon is scheduled to shoot on the 20th~21st in Busan.

On the 13th, Soyeon was in a car accident on the way from Seoul to Busan early in the morning and had to postpone her schedules.

Sulli snaps quick selca on the set of ‘To the Beautiful You’

f(x)‘s Sulli revealed a selca from the set of the new drama ‘To The Beautiful You‘.

On August 15th, Sulli shared the above picture and posted on her me2day, “Hem hem, appearance of Goo Jae Hee! Did you watch the first broadcast? Please watch the broadcast tomorrow too!”

The picture showed Sulli with her new, short hairstyle. Fans were curious about the cuts on her cheek and lips.

Netizens commented, “Going to watch the broadcast today too! Who made those cuts on you?” “What’s with the cut on your cheek?” and “Can’t hide her cuteness even dressed as a boy.”

Sulli is starring in SBS‘ new drama ‘To the Beautiful You’ as the character Goo Jae Hee, who captivates those around her with her bright and energetic personality.

Eunjung bows her head and refuses to answer questions about the "T-ara situation"

T-ara's Eunjung bowed her head and denied to answer questions related to the "T-ara situation."

On the 16th, SBS weekend drama "Five Fingers" held their press conference. Eunjung stated, "I thought that it would be good to face today like any other day."

An official for "Five Fingers" said to reporters before the interviews, "Eunjung will not answer any questions related to the 'T-ara situation.'" They asked for questions only relevant to the drama "Five Fingers".

A reporter said, "During the difficult situation, there is a lot of thoughts going on. How do you currently feel?" and asked Eunjung indirectly about the issue.

Eunjung said, "I'm unconditionally committed to giving my best to my work. In the given situation, I'll do my best not to cause damage for my seniors. I'll work even harder now."

She refused to answer any questions unrelated to the drama and an SBS official said again, "The cast is happy to answer questions, but they cannot answer any personal questions. Please only ask questions related to the drama." They strongly enforced reporters not to ask about the "T-ara situation" and she refused to give concrete answers, which the reporters wanted.

Eunjung later answered other questions and said that between the other T-ara members, they monitor each other. "A lot of the members are in dramas now, and we monitor each other. They're happy that I'm able to be in a big drama production and are anticipating it. The other members give me their constructive criticism and support," she said.

"I had to practice piano for the filming and cooking for inside a restaurant. I'm honored to work with these seniors and I'll do my best at this," Eunjung said. She also commented, "This is the first time I have a role where two men love me. Previously, I has a one-sided love or unrequited love where it was not mutual."

"Five Fingers" is about pianists and their past misfortunes and their current lives and dreams.

[SPOILER 'To The Beautiful You'] f(x)’s Sulli…

Sulli‘s cover got blown only one episode into the new series.

On the August 15th broadcast of SBS ‘To The Beautiful You‘, Kang Tae Joon (Minho) agrees to use the same room as Goo Jae Hee (Sulli) if she puts in at least one goal during a soccer game.

Goo Jae Hee ran with all her might to try and score a goal, but fell and hit her head after being shoved by Song Jong Min (Kwanghee).

The school’s doctor Jang Min Woo (Ki Tae Young) who took a closer look at her condition informed Tae Joon and Eun Kyul that Sulli’s character was breathing normally, and a concussion had caused her to temporarily pass out.

However when Sulli awoke, Jang Min Woo looked towards her and said, “Are you awake? You passed out during the game.”

Getting to the point, Min Woo then added, “But it’s strange. Why is there a female student at an all-male school?“, revealing that he knew the truth about Sulli’s identity, and adding further suspense to the story.

News of Soyeon’s accident was reported before collision took place?

Netizens are continuing to question whether or not T-ara‘s Soyeon was really involved in a car accident.

Previously, CCM had reported that Soyeon had been involved in a car accident on August 13th at approximately 7AM, on the way to go film her new drama series.

However, the first article reporting the news of the collision was reportedly posted at 12:06AM on August 13th, 7 hours before the accident allegedly took place, and is needless to say causing further controversy amongst netizens.

Some are stepping up to defend T-ara saying, “How can you say the story was fabricated? A person in the accident was seriously injured,” and “Would they really go far as to fake a collision?”, while others are thoroughly convinced the accident was staged.

KARA releases Nicole's teasers for 'Pandora'

After releasing the previous photo and video teasers for Jiyoung, Hara and Gyuri, teasers of the next member, Nicole, have been revealed! 

The latest member teaser for KARA’s upcoming “Pandora” was released on August 16 through Naver Music. Nicole donned an elegant black dress accessorized with belt and necklace. Her new hairstyle and smokey makeup completed her transformation, showing a more feminine side of her.

The group’s new mini album “Pandora” is set for release next week on August 22. Their comeback showcase at the W Seoul Walkerhill Hotel will also be streamed live on YouTube on the release date.

'To The Beautiful You' starts off with 1-digit rating

SBS’ latest drama series, “To The Beautiful You”, started off in last place despite the good reviews.

According to AGB Nielsen Media Research, the first episode of the Korean adaptation drama of popular Japanese comic “Hana Kimi” achieved 7.3% viewership ratings. This is the only program with single-digit rating at the time slot.

In first place came KBS 2TV “Bridal Mask” with 19.4%, while MBC drama “Arang and the Magistrate” rated 13.3% and came second.

Meanwhile, on the first episode of “To The Beautiful You”, Koo Jae Hee (played by Sulli) joined the boy’s high school disguised as a boy to meet the high jump athlete Kang Tae Joon (Minho).
