Lee Joon & Hyuna to MC new SBS variety program

MBLAQ’s Lee Joon and 4minute’s Hyuna will be new MCs for an SBS night-time variety program set to air in January of 2011.

The #1 winner of “2010 SBS Super Model Contest,” Yoon Da Young, will be joining the two idols as well.

A representative of SBS’s variety team revealed on December 9th, “‘Remote‘ will begin airing next year with Lee Joon, Hyuna, and Yoon Da Young.”

“Remote” features never before seen broadcast footage and making-of films of the hidden sides of stars, and it will begin recording its first episode this month.

4minute’s manager is a celebrity?

Previously, photos of 4minute’s hot manager, Hong Jin Taek started circulating, and now, people are complimenting him even more with his celebrity-like good looks.

He uploaded photos on his twitter with the message, “Before leaving for Japan. Taken with Hyuna, who is like a sibling to me. Lots of trouble~~^^.”

The photos show the manager and Hyuna making adorable poses. But, the manager’s sharp features and thick eyebrows have caught the attention of netizens.

After seeing the photos, netizens wrote, “The manager can be a celebrity too,” “Very handsome,” “Doesn’t it seem like he’s going to debut?” and “The manager is so good looking.”

KARA and 2AM play the daring ‘pepero game’

The members of KARA and 2AM took part in a thrilling game involving Pepero during their appearances on KBS 2TV’s “Happy Together 3.”

The two teams showed off their talents in a variety of couple match-up games, eventually leading to the birth of the ‘Gyuri – Jun Hyun Mu‘ couple, ‘Han Seung Yeon – Jo Kwon‘ couple, ‘Goo Hara – Seulong‘ couple, ‘Nicole – Jinwoon‘ couple, and the ‘Kang Ji Young – Changmin’ couple.

For this particular challenge, each couple was asked to hold a single large pepero between their mouths, and chomp as much as they possibly could. Because it involves forcing two acquaintances to move their faces closer and closer until they possibly kiss, the couple who can overcome their awkwardness and leave the shortest pepero stick would be declared as the winners of the challenge.

Before her match with Jo Kwon, Seung Yeon shyly confessed, “My skin isn’t in good condition lately, this is a bit pressuring.”

The two showed much determination, getting as close to the center of the stick possible. Although they managed to leave 3.5cm, they lost to the Goo Hara – Seulong couple, who left 2.3cm of their pepero.

If you noticed, there was no footage of Changmin and Kang Ji Young’s Pepero game during yesterday’s broadcast. When questioned about it, producers from the show revealed that Kang Ji Young did not participate in the game as she was still a minor (16 years old).

‘Invincible Youth’ to continue next year with season two!

KBS 2TV’s variety program, “Invincible Youth,” will be touching viewers’ hearts once more with a second season.

Kim Sang Ho PD revealed to Star News on December 10th, “The show is not going to be discontinued. Viewers can take it as an end to season one. We will soon be seeing our viewers once again next year through a second season.”

The show first aired in October as a unique program that had various girl groups working on farms; currently, the final episode for ’season one’ is waiting to air on December 24th.

Meanwhile, the producer continued, “We’re not discontinuing the show because of low viewer ratings. There’s been a lot of conflicting schedules due to girl groups like KARA expanding their activities overseas. It was difficult to take out some of the fixed members, so we decided to end season one for now. There’s a lot of trust being placed on the worth of the ‘Invincible Youth’ brand. After discussions with other producers, everyone agreed to end season one and go ahead with season two next year.”

Regarding the content of season two, he revealed, “We’ll be continuing with the farm village concept, but we won’t just be sticking to girl groups. Boy bands may be participating, but specifics aren’t confirmed yet.”

KARA to become models for popular Japanese game, ‘TalesLand’

KARA is not only dominating the Japanese music charts, but they have also grabbed quite a few endorsements as well.

On December 9th, Japanese game production company, Rhaon Japan, revealed through their ‘TalesLand‘ official website that, ‘Popular Korean girl-group KARA will become the new models for this game.‘

According to the post, players will be able to find KARA characters in the game. The website also promises that users will be able to see an animation short of KARA as well as a promotional video on the landing page.

Additionally, KARA will also be making their acting debuts next year through the reality show ‘URAKARA‘ on Japan’s TV Tokyo 24.

During the show,the guests were asked to play the "Peppero Game",where the couple who managed to finish the Peppero stick in shortest time will win the game.

IY has been one of my favourite shows since i got into KPOP and it will be airing its last episode soon,feel sad to sad goodbye but still hope that the girls will gain more success in the future!
