[News] 5th Special of ‘Playful Kiss’ revealed through Youtube

MBC’s ‘Playful Kiss‘ came to an end on the 21st of October. The drama went against some tough competition and suffered in the ratings department. Despite that, the show grew a small die-hard fan base and they were quite disappointed to see the show end so soon. However, that disappointment was somewhat turned around when there was news stating that Playful Kiss would continue airing via special episodes through video sharing website Youtube. The announcement also mentioned that it will have a different storyline than the TV version!

Kim Hyun Joong stated, “Since Youtube doesn’t have strict restrictions, we were able to show a steamier love scene than on television. I believe that the couple will look more natural than on TV. Youtube is a place where netizens of the entire world can share and communicate. I hope ‘Playful Kiss’ can participate in the phenomenon and become an international icon.”

Meanwhile, the special episodes of Playful Kiss will be divided into seven different videos, about 10 minutes each.

On November 17th and 18th, making-of films including special NG cuts will also be released!

[News] 10asia magazine releases the first idol encyclopedia, “10+idol”

‘10asia‘ magazine recently published their own idol magazine, “10+idol“, which features the greatest idols that have represented Korean entertainment in 2010.

Naturally, the idols chosen reflect only the opinion of the magazine.

The book contains various articles, interviews, and pictures of idol activities throughout the year. Indeed, the magazine proudly proclaimed itself as the “2010 idol white book/encyclopedia.”

16 different idols are represented in its pages: SHINee, Taeyang, Jay Park, Rain, 2AM, SNSD, T.O.P., Wonder Girls, f(x), Jung Yong Hwa, miss A, B2ST, MBLAQ, SECRET, INFINITE, and Orange Caramel.

Profiles of each idol were listed, along with fun, cute questions that aimed to reveal a bit more about their personalities and backgrounds.

With idols leading the new K-pop Hallyu trend in Asia and the world, 10asia stated, “Viewing the various aspects of idols each year through 10Asia’s ‘10+idol’ will allow this to become one of the greatest idol history books for South Korea in the future.”

Beginning today, “10+idol” can be purchased for 9,900 KRW ($8.90 USD) through various online shopping sites, including Yes24, Interpark, Aladdin, 11th Street, Gmall, and Gmarket.

[News] Narsha and Goo Hara miss ‘Invincible Youth’ recording, SISTAR’s Bora to sub

KARA’s Goo Hara and Brown Eyed Girl’s Narsha will be absent from the November 19th episode of ‘Invincible Youth‘ due to their respective activities in Japan. (Remember, ‘Invincible Youth’ will not air on November 12th due to a break).

A representative stated, “Hara and Narsha will be absent for one episode. They attended a K-pop concert in Japan with their respective groups, and weren’t able to make it to the recording. Due to KARA’s activities in Japan, Hara may in fact be missing for two weeks.”

Since the next episode is reported to be an exercise special, SISTAR’s Bora will fill in for the girls due to her reputation as an ‘athlete idol’.

Fans of the show commented, “Bora’s special power of athleticism is in full effect,” and “I think it’ll be good to look forward to when it airs.”

[News] The KARA Syndrome hits Japan once again with their 2nd Japanese Single debuting 5th on Oricon Chart

KARA is once again hitting Japan by storm for the second time around!

Their 2nd Japanese Single "Jumping" was released on the 10th of November and on it's release it debuted 5th on the Oricon Daily Singles chart. Their first Japanese Single "Mister" also debuted 5th on the Oricon Singles chart, and KARA hit's the same impressive record with the release of their new single.

"Jumping" is an 80's Europop song with a mix of contemporary dance pop also KARA showed powerful vocals and choreography with nice outfits on their music video showing a modern and hip atmosphere, also they released the Korean version of their single simultaneously in Japan and Korea.

KARA are receiving new records and with their Japanese debut, they have been gaining a lot of fans not only in Japan but also in Korea as more people in Korea are turning their interest to them.

Also, their first album released in Japan "KARA BEST 2007-2010" was ranked gold selling over 100,000 copies since it was released on the 29th of September.

[News] Narsha and Goo Hara to be absent this week on Invincible Youth due to Japan activities

Goo Hara from KARA and Narsha from Brown Eyed Girls will be having a one week absence on Invincible Youth.

On the 19th of November broadcast of KBS "Invincible Youth" the two idols will not be appearing due to their busy schedule in Japan for the week which conflicts with the show's recording.

A representative said on the 10th, "Goo Hara and Narsha will be taking a week of absence on Invincible Youth due to their activities in Japan. They will be attending a K-pop concert in Japan in which the event overlaps the recording schedule. Goo Hara with KARA will be coming back to Korea on the 15th but they will be taking a rest and we cannot rush things."

However, new things will be shown in the show in their new episode showing the unique athletic abilities of the members.

[News] T-ara forced to retake their flight attendant exam

For their new show, ”T-ara’s Dream Girls“, the girls were given a mission to become flight attendants. Yet it appears that they faced considerable difficulties in their attempt to do so.

According to Mnet on November 10th, all of the members were forced to take a retest on the theoretical component of the exams. The mission was set up so that the girls failed if they did not pass every step of the challenge.

T-ara’s trainer stated, “Becoming a stewardess is not a joke. Please think over why you’re here today. If you’re not as well trained as your seniors, you cannot board the plane. We have made this a lot harder than the tests your fellow classmates took.”

The girls stayed up all night in order to study for their re-tests, and received the full support of the show’s producers by getting driven to the exam center in luxury cars.

[News] “Invincible Youth” to take a break this week

KBS 2TV’s variety program, “Invincible Youth“, will not be airing on November 12th.

The PD for the show, Kim Ho Sang, stated on the 10th to Star News, “It is inevitable for the show to have a break. We will rest for a week and visit viewers once more on the 19th.”

In the meantime, talk show “Hello” will air its pilot episode to fill up the empty timeslot on the 12th.

“Hello” features CulTwo and Shin Dong Yeop as co-MCs who listen to the worries and stories of every citizen in the country. Stories chosen to be read on-air will also give their authors the opportunity to visit the studio. The best story will be rewarded with a new car.

The first broadcast will feature guests Tak Jae Hoon, Oh Ji Ho, B2ST, and FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup champions.

[News] Goo Hara laments over looking older

A photo of two KARA members, Seungyeon and Goo Hara, have captured the hearts of their fans.

On November 10th, Goo Hara uploaded the photo and added, “We came to eat sushi hehe! I look like the unnie in this picture. I don’t like it! T_T”

In the picture, you can see the two posing naturally with very cute smiles.

Netizens responded, “Both are so pretty”, “Goo Hara have strength, you look younger!”, “I’m watching over your Japanese promotions well.”

Meanwhile, KARA just recently unleashed their 4th mini-album, along with the MV of their Korean version of ‘Jumping‘.

The members of KARA headed off to Thailand on October 29th to participate in a 4-day photo shoot project. The theme was characters from a fairy tale going on an excursion, for which they were able to dress up in various costumes, such as noble peeresses, and pure innocent women.

4minute’s HyunA and Sohyun joined the growing list of Korean celebrities with Twitter accounts.

Yesterday, HyunA and Sohyun made their personal Twitter accounts under the names @4M_hyunahand @4M_sohyeon, respectively. Today, Sohyun uploaded a couple cute selcas to her account. She posted,

“Nothing’s changed ㅜHyunA insists that I lost weight because I was sick ke ke throwing pictures before going to my schedules!!!“

In one of the pictures, the two are seen pouting their lips and making cute expressions showing their innocent smiles. There has been a hot response from netizens saying, “The two are so cute” and “They have the appearance that I would want for a younger sister.”

HyunA recently released her collaboration track “Together Forever” with labelmate G.NA and will return to Korea with the rest of 4minute for their comeback later this month.

The collaborative track between 4minute’s HyunA and G.NA, titled, “Say You Love Me” and released as a digital single, “Together Forever Vol.1” has just been released!

Cube Entertainment said it best, “We believe the rapper and singer will be able to complement each others’ strengths and weaknesses and show a great synergetic effect.”
