SBS’ Kiss and Cry teaser revealed ft Kim Yuna, Yunho, IU & more

“Kiss and Cry,” an upcoming SBS ice skating reality show featuring Kim Yuna, has been gaining lots of attention for its all-star line-up that includes Kim Byung Man, TVXQ’s Yunho, IU, Son Dambi, f(x)’s Krystal, Seo Ji Suk,Lee Ah Hyun, Park Jun Geum, speed skating gold medalist Lee Kyu Hyuk, and child actress Ji Jin Hee.

Today, the public got its very first look at the show with the first video teaser of the show, featuring Kim Yuna herself and her fellow castmates! Set to Justin Bieber’s Baby, the teaser reveals a range of emotions, from Yunho’s laughter to Son Dambi wiping away her tears.

“Kiss and Cry” is certainly the first variety show of its kind to grace the television waves in Korea, so we’re excited for this show to air. Stay tuned for more!

2011 Idol group 4Minute successful transformation into a 90s idol band.

Girlgroup 4Minute performed a strong challenge.

On May 5th,the five beauties appeared on SBS 1000 Songs Challenge hosted by MCs Lee Hee Jae and
Jang Yoon Jung and pulled a 180° transformation from a 2011 girlband to a pop group from the 90s.

4Minute girls turned into trot singers from head to toe and left a strong impression by reviving the
feeling of 90s singers.After the filming of the show,4Minute members were seen laughing on the way back to their bus.

The five girls apparently didnt want to take off their glittery trot outfits and were amused by their new looks.

Meanwhile, G.NA and *Oh Seung Keun's team were the winner of the night and became the "1000 Songs Challenge" heroes.

f(x) Pinocchio "Music Bank" "M countdown" followed by "Inkigayo" placed No.1 first mutizen ever

Girl group f(x) song 'Pinocchio' has placed first on both online and cable TV music program charts. On the 8th f(x) performed the song 'Pinocchio' live on SBS popular music (Inkigayo) and won their first Mutizen. f(x) 'Pinocchio' on the past April 29th KBS achieved the No. 1 spot for the first time, following with 1st place win on the 5th on the cable channel Mnet Mcountown and was also placed No.1 on popular song (Inkigayo).

Shin Se Kyung & T-ara’s Eunjung reveal past photos as young actresses

On SBS‘ “Good Morning” show today, celebrities Shin Se Kyung and T-ara’s Eunjung unveiled photos from their child actress days from 2004.

These photos, which were taken on the shooting set of the historical drama “Toji the Land,” reveal the idols’ bare faces from their teenage years. More importantly, the shots show off the duo’s close friendship, which has been revealed on television broadcasts in the past.

Netizens uncover English tracks similar to f(x)’s Danger, Dangerous & Beautiful Goodbye

In addition to TVXQ, SNSD, SHINee and Super Junior, pop quintet f(x) may be the latest addition toSM Entertainment’s list of artists that have amassed public attention due to song remake issues.

Since the release of f(x)’s first full album “Pinocchio,” netizens have discovered English counterparts toDanger, Dangerous and Beautiful Goodbye that bear unmistakable similarities to f(x)’s releases, sparking curiosity amongst many fans regarding the origins of this album.

Kristine Elezaj, an Albanian-American recording artist, first caught netizen attention when her track, titled Razor, was discovered. Aside from a few synthesized variations, Razor is nearly identical to f(x)’s Danger. It’s been revealed through one report that SME bought the rights to Danger then reproduced it legally as their own track.

The second track that’s gained buzz is the Norwegian pop singer Carina Dahl’s Sticky Dough, which bears striking similarities to f(x)’s Dangerous:

Finally, Beautiful Goodbye is identical to Kasey Butler’s 2008 track of the same title:

Some netizens have shied away from obvious plagiarism accusations and suggested that SME may have bought the licensing rights to these already-produced songs then remade them.

Again, SM Entertainment’s had issues in the past regarding song rights. TVXQ’s Mirotic & Sarah Connor’s Under My Skin were revealed to have divided distribution rights based on region — TVXQ could only release Mirotic in Asia and Sarah Connor only in North American and Europe. SHINee’sJuliette, while featuring Jonghyun’s original lyrics, is a remake of Corbin Bleu’s Deal With It, and Hit Mealso owes its roots to the original Bad Case by Jackie Boyz (and also Marques Houston & Omarion, but that’s a whole other issue). SNSD’s Tell Me Your Wish was illegally released by Uzbek singer Dineyra (Raqsga Tushgin) without proper permission from Universal Music, then separately released (as the licensed version) by Dutch singer Nathalie Makoma (I Just Wanna Dance) last year with the original English lyrics. SNSD’s Run Devil Run was also linked to Ke$ha’s identically-titled song, which turned out to be an unreleased guide track. Lastly, Super Junior’s Carnival is a licensed remake of the2005 track of the same title by the Netherlands-based band Chipz.

Again, SME reportedly bought the rights to reproduce Razor for f(x)’s Danger. As for Dangerous andBeautiful Goodbye, SME has yet to release any official word on this matter, so fans should hold off from forming judgments or developing assumptions (regarding plagiarism, remake rights or otherwise).
