Actress Park Min Young thanks fans for their birthday wishes


Actress Park Min Young celebrated her 28th birthday (Korean age) on March 4th, and to thank fans for the birthday wishes, she updated her Twitter with a photo of the birthday cake and presents she received.
She posted:

SHINee reveals the shining price of their mic stand



The shining price of SHINee’s microphone stands for “Dream Girl” was recently revealed, and is currently gaining much attention.

Apparently, each microphone costs 1,500,000 won (roughly $1500 USD). It is made out of duralumin, which is an aluminum alloy that is characteristically strong and lightweight. SHINee has 10 microphone stands in total at the moment.

According to their management agency, SM Entertainment, each microphone weighs about 4kg, and it was made with the same material of an airplane body. They were produced specifically for SHINee’s “Dream Girl” performances.

SHINee to hangout with fans through Google+



The boys of SHINee will be hanging out with their fans online all over the world through Google+ Hang Out.

On March 8th, SHINee will be having a fan meeting through Google+ video chat service, ‘Hang Out’ at CGV Incheon airport branch. The special event will be streamed live through SMTOWN’s official YouTube channel and A-Pop channel.

SHINee will be interacting with their fans through video chat and participate in activities, like watching videos that their fans had created for them as well as talk about their “Dream Girl” promotion.

T-ara’s Qri cosplays her own cell phone case?


Qri threw her fans in for a loop with her newest selca.
The gorgeous T-ara member looked pretty with a shower cap pulling back all her hair. But combined with her rather unique cell phone case, the picture turned a little spooky. She herself admitted that it was a little bizarre, tweeting, “Sorry if you were surprised. Good night~~“.
With a shower cap and large circle lenses, she seemed to match the baby on her spooky cellphone case, complete with the eyeballs that were also embedded in the black case.

SHINee’s Taemin changes his ideal type


Taemin‘s ideal type has changed!
For a long time, Taemin’s ideal type had been Emma Watson, and then he had moved onto Kaya Scodelario. But his ideal type seems to have changed yet again. The boys of SHINee were guests for a recent recording of ‘Yoo Hee Yeol’s Sketchbook‘, and they all revealed their dream girls.
Taemin stated that his new ideal type was Hollywood actress Amanda Seyfried from ‘Mamma Mia‘ and ‘Les Miserables‘ because of her mystical image. Meanwhile Key didn’t choose anyone in particular, instead he chose a girl who shared a lot of similarities with him as his ideal type.
On the same episode, the SHINee boys revealed that they used to live in the same apartment as MCYoo Hee Yeol, and said, “We saw him all the time in the elevator with a bag of toiletries. He always told us to come over to eat,” which caused the audience members to laugh.

SHINee snag their second consecutive win on ‘Show Champion’


SHINee snagged their second consecutive win on ‘Show Champion‘ with “Dream Girl“.
Just like last week, the show tweeted a picture of the boys and wrote, “Which song is the ‘Champion Song’ for the March 6th episode of Show Champion? It’s the shining SHINee~ SHINee got the ‘Champion Song’ for 2 weeks in a row ^^. Did you listen well to the no-cut encore song? Here’s cute SHINee as a proof shot~ Sincerely congratulate you again!!!

Baek Ji Young to make her Japanese debut in May



Singer Baek Ji Young, who has been performing in Korea for nearly 15 years, is now preparing to make her debut in Japan!

On March 6th, Baek Ji Young’s management agency, WS Entertainment, announced “Singer Baek Ji Young will be releasing her first Japanese album on May 1st, and will have a solo showcase in Tokyo.”

To celebrate her debut with fans, the singer will hold her showcase called “Premium Night” at a live event held at the Akasaka Blitz Hall in Tokyo on the same day of the album’s release. She is set perform Japanese versions of “Don’t Forget,” “I Won’t Love” and “That Woman”.

The agency added, “We will focus on Baek Ji Young’s voice, not visual performances that most of the other K-Pop artists show.”

TVXQ debuts #1 on the Oricon Chart with ‘TIME’



The duo of TVXQ saw their latest Japanese release sit atop of Japan’s Oricon Chart!

Just a day into its release, TVXQ’s sixth Japanese studio album ‘TIME’ has sold 160,719 copies and clinched the top spot of the Oricon Daily Album Chart. With this whopping amount, the group has set their new record in Japan with highest sales for a studio album on the first day.

SHINee's Key proved TVXQ's fame. 

On the latest episode of KBS 2TV’s ‘Dignity Of The Family – Full House, SHINee member Key made an appearance. He discussed about the noise from neighbors that can be heard in apartments.

During the show, the MC asked Key if SHINee lives together and if fans often visit their place to which Key replied "It hasn't happened so far but when TVXQ lived together, Lots of fans went to their house causing them to move constantly from one place to another. They even used not to unpack their things knowing they would transfer to another house."

It would be hard for TVXQ not to have a privacy because of their fans.

TVXQ’s ‘TIME’ debuts at #1 on Oricon chart, sells over 160,000 copies


TVXQ has set a new personal record in Japan for first day studio album sales as their sixth Japanese studio album ‘TIME‘ sold 160,719 copies on the first day.
This was good enough to place first on the Oricon Daily Album Chart. TVXQ’s previous highest sales for a studio album on the first day was back in 2011 with ‘TONE‘ which sold 105,484 copies on the first day. For reference, their best ever first day sales for an album in Japan was their compilation album, ‘Best Selection 2010‘ which sold 228,542 copies on the first day.
It’s only a matter of time before TVXQ achieves the platinum certification from RIAJ.

f(x)’s Amber thinks she and Super Junior’s Donghae look a lot alike


Something must be in the water that the artists drink at SM Entertainment because f(x)‘s Amber andSuper Junior‘s Donghae seem to have grown to look more alike as time goes on.
Amber tweeted,
The photo shows Donghae and Amber making the same “hella” adorable facial expression, making fans agree with Amber about their striking resemblance.
Fans who noticed the SM artists’ visual similarities commented, “Amber and Donghae look like siblings,” and “SM Entertainment has a lot of artists with similar images and visuals.”

SHINee’s Onew spins a laptop on ‘Beatles Code 2′


Onew showed off a surprising hidden talent.
SHINee guest starred on the March 4th broadcast of Mnet‘s ‘Beatles Code 2‘ where they revealed Onew had the unique talent of being able to spin any object. They further revealed that Onew was the only member who could pull off certain spinning moves for the “Dream Girl” choreography.
Onew then showed off his talent by spinning various objects, and Minho suggested, “Spin a laptop.”
A staff member handed him a laptop, while worriedly looking on. However, despite everyone’s concerns and his Onew condition, Onew succeeded in spinning the laptop with just one finger with a calm look on his face and received applause from the panel.

f(x)’s Sulli hints at a possible comeback?



f(x)’s Sulli left their fans buzzing with her latest post.

On March 6th, Sulli wrote on her me2day, “We can see each other more often now, right? Us???”, seemingly hinting for a possible comeback.

In the attached photo, Sulli is wearing a large black hoodie while playfully crouching down on the floor. Fans are also speculating that the “#23” printed on her back could mean anything, but nothing is clear yet.
