T-ara's Qri transforms completely into a retro girl

T-ara’s Qri surprised her fans with a picture she took of herself during SBS K-pop Live Broadcast.

Qri put up the picture on Twitter and joked, “I came to see you T-ara! I’m your biggest fan. People tell me that I look a lot like T-ara’s Qri, so please remember me!”

In the picture, Qri is wearing 80s school uniform with a name tag pinned to her chest, completing the look with a huge, yellow hairpin. The smoky eye makeup makes her big eyes look even bigger.

Netizens left comments like: “I’m Qri’s fan, too!” “You indeed look a lot like Qri, are you her twin maybe?” “You’re so cute! Just like a doll.”

Meanwhile, T-ara is recently very active with the release of their new dance song “Roly-Poly.”

Han Seung Yeon of Kara turned on her charms as the new MC of Animal Farm

In the episode of Animal Farm which aired on the 31st, Han Seung Yeon first appeared on the show.

She opened up the show by saying, “Hello everyone. This is Han Seong Yeon, the new MC of Animal Farm.” and proceeded the whole show in a friendly atmosphere.

Shin Dong Yeop said, “You are so charming. I think you have the most charms among all the girl group members.”

Han Seung Yeon responded shyly, “Don’t say that~”

This is the first time Han Seong Yeon became the MC of an entertainment show, and she is known to have special affection for animals. In this episode, she attracted attention by participating in the cat rescue operation.

4minute’s Jiyoon and Gayoon show off their cute selcas

On July 29th, 4minute’s Jiyoon tweeted several selcas of herself and Gayoon saying, “Revealing pictures taken a while back“.

In two of the photos, Jiyoon and Gayoon are making cute and amusing faces, while in the third, Jiyoon is showing off a more feminine look with a bright floral dress and colorful makeup, perfect for the summer.

Khuntoria shares an unexpected hobby as a "married" couple

We Got Married’s Khuntoria couple, discovering more hobbies the two can enjoy together.

On the July 30th episode of MBC’s ‘We Got Married’, Nichkhun and Victoria attempted to plant lettuce and hot peppers in their garden together.

Compared to NichKhun who seemed a little unenthused about planting seeds, Victoria seemed rather happy and eager. Victoria’s feelings seemed slightly hurt when Nichkhun told her to pull out the seedlings, and the two continued to have disagreements, as they couldn’t see eye-to-eye when it came to things like where exactly the veggies needed to be planted and how high the soil needed to come up.

The MCs who watched from the studio remarked that the couple has “only shown us the blissful moments of a marriage,” and that this bickering moment was “more realistic, but still a cute marriage“.

Later in the episode, Nichkhun comes up from behind his on-set wife and lifts her up from the ground, which quickly lifted any hurt and negative feelings she may have had prior.

The Khuntoria couple also discovered a new hobby- giving each other manicures. While doing so, the two effectively displayed the close relationship they still have.

Although Nichkhun looked a little taken aback when Victoria began painting his nails a girly red, he actually seemed to be furtively enjoying it. “I can feel my female hormones being released,” he said.

The MCs also commented, “Lovers quarrels are soon mended,” and “Their new hobby is painting each other’s nails“.

Lee Jang Woo and Eunjung attempt a kiss

On this week’s episode of MBC’s We Got Married, Lee Jang Woo and T-ara’s Eunjung took their relationship to the next level by attempting a kiss on the lips.

Lee Jang Woo took the lead by asking Eunjung, “Do you want to eat some snacks?“, shortly thereafter he started to bring out several stick candies. By seeing this and the amount of snacks that he brought, Eunjung burst into laughter.

Shortly after, Lee Jang Woo attempted the famous ‘Pepero Kiss’ on Eunjung with the snacks that he brought, to which Eunjung denied at first. However, he was persistent and eventually got her to oblige. At first, Eunjung stopped before their lips got too close, due to her timidness. However, they eventually became more serious, which made viewers sweat in excitement.

As they were just about to finally kiss, the owner of the camping car that they were using made an appearance and told them, “Your time is up for the camping car. I’m afraid you’ll have to get all your belongings out.” The couple immediately stopped their actions in embarrassment.

Although their attempt at kissing was a failure, the two forgot all about it as they moved into their sparkling new empty house.

After School ranks 1-3 in album sales! Proves popularity in the Philippines

Last July 23, 2011 (Saturday) was an important day for all Playgirlz and Playboyz as it was the day that Universal Records Philippines in partnership with Pledis Entertainment, Playgirlz Philippines, Odyssey, Astroplus and MYX released seven (7) albums of After School. The following albums that was released were Virgin, Bang, Happy Pledis, Orange Caramel‘s three (3) singles namely: Magic Girl, Aing and Bangkok City and Kahi: The First Mini Album.

The album launch happened in SM Mall of Asia (MOA), SM Megamall, SM North and SM Bacoor and were released by two of the biggest record stores in the Philippines namely, Astroplus and Odyssey. Fans gathered and bought in bundles as they also enjoyed all the freebies they received by buying on that specific day. Fans located in provinces even went as far as pre-ordering through the group’s official fanclub which is Playgirlz Philippines.

After School's Japanese Premium Party Interview

All the members have a height of 167 cm + just as models, exceptional styles to be boastful of, and show amazing dance performances. After School, on July 17th, held their 『AFTERSCHOOLJAPANPREMIUMPARTY-Bang!Bang!Bang!-』 at AkasakaBLITZ. [...]

This spring, they collaborate with Namie Amuro for her album 『Checkmate! 』and recorded the music video and song ‘make it happen’. The pv attracted attention (?). Before their debut, the event they held attracted many fans.

The event opening just quite recently, “Shampoo”and “Because of You”was very successful. (?) Japanese fans and Korean fans are alike as they both cheered loudly and encouraged, After School responded with a hot performances at their first event with an unforgettable stage.

With greetings from leader Kahi announced 「After School on August 17th from avex will debut with 『Bang!』」Fans applauded loudly and congratulated them.

Q. Japanese debut has been decided, what do you think about this event?

Juyeon: We, After School, remember the time of our Korean debut. We were really nervous but, we saw a lot of our Japanese fans, and felt everyones love, it made us really happy. Today, everyone at the venue left our members with happy memories.

Q. Japanese staff though of the catch phrase “3 S (SUPER SEXY, SUPER STYLE, SUPER SHOW)” what do you think of it?

U-ie: Generally speaking this is amazing praise to receive. Thank you very much! Today at the venue, let’s have fun during the live. All of the females fans really have great, cute style, even the fans should be called “3 S”.

Q. How did you think of Japanese『Bang!』jacket photoshoot?

E-Young: When I was still a trainee and I saw After School perform 『Bang!』I thought they looked really cool and I wanted to perform it too but thanks to the fact that we’re debuting with 『Bang!』in Japan I am able to wear the clothing for 『Bang!』for the photoshoot – I am really happy about that. During the photoshoot, all the unnies taught me a lot of poses, it was really fun!

Q. How did you think of 『Bang!』Japanese edition shooting?

Jung Ah: On the day of the Japanese shooting for 『Bang!』PV, the Japanese staff came to Korea. It was raining very heavily actually the first time we had the recording for the Korean『Bang!』music video, it was snowing very heavily. This must be sign that Japan will love 『Bang!』.

Q. The Japanese version of 『Bang!』has been re-arranged for the Japan debut. How do you this of this?

Raina: We tried our best to study Japanese and it was our intention but in reality it was really hard to sing the song, there’s still a long way to go, great effort is needed is what I think. But the recording was very fun. However the director and staff had to go through great difficulties and check our Japanese, thank you very much. The Japanese version is as likeable as the Korean version, they are both very fun to sing.

Q. Before the Japanese debut, we saw the collaboration with Namie Amuro, how do you think of that?

Nana: It was such a great, great honour! When I was younger, I’ve always admired Amuro – san and the moment we filmed the PV and I met her, I was really, really, really happy! Again, on the filming set we were on a high set with our legs crossed, we wore a safety belt to get onto it. It was scary; during the rehearsal I wasn’t able to look at the members’ faces but during the production concentration on dancing wasn’t needed, so watching the staff was the most suspenseful (?).

Q. What are the goals of having in activities in Japan?

Kahi: Today, at the venue everyone came, after this I hope for fans to keep on supporting us. I hope to have a large venue with fans and everyone and perform live. (?) Next month, we will appear at a-nation, anyhow we will try to show everyone a wonderful performance. We’ll do our best.

Q. In Japan, if you have a day off, where would you like to go?

Lizzy: I love Kitty-chan, I want to go to Sanrio shop! Also, I saw documentary program about a Dolphin Show, I wanna go see that!

Q. How long did you practice the drums for 『Bang!』?

Juyeon: All the members, everyone put our hearts as one, worked hard together for 8~9 months.

Q. The Japanese version of “You’re Beautiful”has been broadcasted. How do you think of it?

U-ie: You’re Beautiful, the Japanese remake makes me feel happy. I want to act with AKB48’s Haruna Kojima – san. She is very lovely. When I watch her, I find that my heart beats very fast. Without fail, I’d like to meet you.

T-ara's "Roly-Poly" music video has spent five weeks at the top of the music video charts.

On the 31st, according to a Core Contents Media rep, T-ara's "Roly-Poly" music video has been occupying the top of the music video charts and TV weekly charts for five weeks with over 3.5 million views.The rep continued, "Popular idol groups like 2NE1, Miss A and MBLAQ have had their comebacks, but it has not affected the standing of 'Roly-Poly' and it has firmly stood as the leader.""Roly-Poly" is the work of Shinsadong Tiger and Choi Kyusung.
