SHINee releases collaborative collection with SKECHERS

As previously reported, SHINee designed for SKECHERS as a form of collaboration project with the brand and Naver. Starting on June 26, SHINee’s t-shirts and hats became available for pre-sale order through ‘SKECHER SHOP’ of NAVER’s online shopping website. 

On June 27, SM Entertainment also revealed BTS footage from the design meeting held at Seoul’s Cheongdamdong on June 4th. SHINee designed the t-shirts and hats, which fully reflect each of members’ individuality and unique style. 

SHINee SKECHERS collaboration line comes in 5 hats and 5 t-shirts and is available for pre-sale order through NAVER shopping website from June 26 to July 16.

SISTAR renews endorsement deal with ‘Pelicana’

SISTAR will continue being the face of fried chicken brand, ‘Pelicana’.

It has been revealed that the popular girl group, who serves as endorsement models for Pelicana has renewed their contract for another year. SISTAR is the brand’s first girl group model and also the first to renew the contract

SISTAR finished shooting the advertisements on June 24. Despite their busy schedule with their promotions, they participated in the filming for a total of 12 hours, earning compliments from the staffs.

SHINee, BoA and T-ara QBS fare well on Oricon chart

Hallyu artists SHINee, BoA and T-ara QBS have made a pleasant debut on Japan’s Oricon chart. 

SHINee’s second Japanese album, ‘Boys Meet U’, which was released on June 26th, debuted at the No.2 spot of Oricon’s Daily Album Chart. The album sold 36,402 copies on a single day, proving the group’s popularity in the country.

Also, T-ara’s sub-unit QBS, formed of members Qri, Boram and Soyeon, nabbed seventh place on the same chart with debut single, “Like The Wind”. BoA’s 32nd single album “Tail of Hope” landed on No.11.

4minute’s “Is it Poppin’?” deemed unfit for broadcast by KBS

4minute’s upcoming single, “Is it Poppin’?” was deemed inappropriate for broadcast by KBS.

On June 26, KBS announced that 4minute’s upcoming single, “Is it Poppin’?” has been deemed unfit for broadcast due to its lyrics. The problem came from the English word “ass” included in the song's lyrics.

Cube Entertainment plans to modify the lyrics and re-submit the song for review.

4minute is set to release “Is it Poppin’?” (previously referred as “The Water’s Fine”) on June 28. The song is a hip-hop dance number with catchy melody line, and will contain 4minute’s 

unique colors.

Baek Ji Young has a miscarriage four months into pregnancy

Newly-wed couple Baek Ji Young and Jung Suk Won are having the saddest time in their life.

According to a report, Baek Ji Young has recently got a miscarriage on June 27 at around 10 AM (KST). The tragedy came only four months into her pregnancy. The expectant mother and her husband are currently in shock with the loss.

Baek Ji Young and Jung Suk Won previously tied the knot after two years of relationship on June 2nd. They revealed the singer’s pregnancy in May.

Davichi to release summer single ‘Memories of Summer’

The duo of Davichi is planning to captivate music fans’ hearts once again with their new sound!

Core Contents Media announced that Davichi will release the digital single ‘Memories of Summer’ on July 4th. The title song is called “It’s Because I Miss You Today” and it is composed by producer Choi Kyu Sung. It is a song of medium tempo and it reaches to the peak with sad lyrics.

Davichi had a successful promotions earlier this year, achieving ‘triple crowns’ on music charts with three different songs including “Turtle”, “Just The Two Of Us” and “Be Warmed”.

SHINee To Recruit Tour Dance Team Members!

SHINee will be recruiting new members for their tour dance team through a TV program.

It has been revealed that Japanese TV program 'Performance A' collaborates with Korean idol group SHINee. The advertisement for the collaboration project was first revealed on the 17th through the program and the purpose of the audition was revealed on the 24th broadcast of the show. It turned out that the dance competition will be held for SHINee's Japan Arena Tour'SHINee WORLD 2013: Boys Meet U'.

SHINee member Taemin showed his worries when heard the offer as he was wondering if the new members of dance team will be able to learn the complex dance choreography for a short period of time.

The chosen dance team is said to participate in SHINee's concerts from Kobe onwards.

QBS 'Like The Wind' Scans

QBS 'Like The Wind' scans revealed.

If T-ara's first unit, T-ara N4 showed how cool they are with a hip-hop style debut in Korea, their Japanese unit 'QBS' shows their loveliness through their photos for their debut single 'Like The Wind'. The members of QBS, Qri, Boram and Soyeon look like Goddesses with white dresses.

KARA’s Seungyeon and 2AM’s Jinwoon to dub for animated film, ‘Epic’

KARA’s Seungyeon and 2AM’s Jinwoon will be lending their voices for Hollywood animated film, ‘Epic’.

The two idols will dub the Korean version of the animated fantasy film which will hit Korean theaters on August 7. Seungyeon will be taking on the role of Mary Katherine (MK) while Jinwoon will act the voice of male leading role Nod, the rebellious warrior of a sacred wood.

Seungyeon commented, “I normally like animations so I took this opportunity”. Jinwoon also shared, “This is my first time dubbing for an animated film, so it was difficult at first. But it was fun and interesting experience.”
