KARA becomes the Japanese CF models for ‘LG Optimus Bright’
LG Electronics revealed on June 1st that they chose KARA to be the Japanese CF models for their upcoming cellphone brand , LG ‘Optimus Bright’.
A representative revealed, “To celebrate the launch of our new ‘Optimus Bright’ smartphone in mid-June, we have decided to partner with popular girl group KARA because of their youthful and lovely image which complements our product.”
KARA will also be releasing a new Japanese single titled ‘Go Go Summer Bright‘, which will be used for the CM and be promoted at the same time.
The LG ‘Optimus Bright’ is the Japanese variant of the ‘Optimus Black‘, but with some slight modifications. The CM and print advertisements will be launched starting June 17th.

On May 30th, Yoon Jong Shin shared the following picture through his Twitter, writing “Mnet Director’s Cut 4minute”.
The veteran star and the idol members are seen sporting a friendly pose with bright smiles on their faces.
Netizens were charmed by the warmth of the photo, “Yoon Jong Shin-sshi, you look like you have been added as a new member”, “You guys really fit well together”, and “Make a spot for me, too.”
KARA's fan meeting in Korea to be shown live in movie theaters across Japan
KARA made news as they performed after a long absence at the 2011 Dream Concert held in Korea a few days ago. It was decided that their fan meeting to be held in Seoul on 6/11 will be shown live in theaters across Japan.
This fan meeting was limited to 4,000 attendees. It seems that various performances, not to mention songs and talk segments, are planned as the members wish to lessen their distance from fans. The live broadcast will be shown only in Japan, and only for one night. The broadcast content is expected to be a must-watch for fans. Simultaneous interpretation will be included also.

On May 27, 4Minute girls were guesting on Y Star's God Of Cookery Expedition weekly corner
"Best of Best." The cast of the show went on a gourmet tour of the best restaurants.
On this episode, God Of Cookery Expedition's MCs Jung Joon Ha, Hyun Yeong, Goo Woori and
Park Taejun took 4Minute downtown to enjoy the best food such as Japanese fresh bread, delicious desserts and the tastiest meat at barbecue restaurants.
They also had the opportunity to appreciate various dishes and played the role of gourmet critics.
4Minute members couldn't hide their excitement to start their Gourmet Tour of the best local and
international food restaurants. The girls couldn't restrain their screams of joy every time the main
dishes such as Korean beef drenched in barbecue sauce and exquisite servings were introduced to them.
Jung Joon Ha was in charge of roasting the meat and gave a mouthful to JiYoon, SoHyun, JiHyun who showed off their powerful aegyo in order to thank him.
JiYoon performed her famous child like aegyo, SoHyun displayed her soft aegyo while Jihyun showed her bagel girl side ("~~sexy").

Park Taejun then volunteered to roast the beef and picked one especially for HyunAh to eat. He seemed very satisfied with HyunAh's attitude. Thus, he answered with a big smile: "HyunAh's aegyo is 100 out of 100!!!" which made everyone burst into laughter.

Idols on "White" it's too scary
On May 30th, the VIP premiere event for new horror film, WHITE went through successfully. It is a horror story involving an idol group.
To support T-ara's Eunjung, girl group T-ara attended the event to watch the film as well as other idols from groups such as KARA's Park Gyuri, 2AM's Im Seulong, MissA's Min and Suzy, Davichi's Kang Minkyung and Lee Haeri.
Other stars that attended include: Park Yongwoo, Seowoo, Hwanhee, Lee Sangwoo, Park Jibin, Ryu Deokhwan, Lee Pilmo. With the stars, the theatre was filled up by fans.
After the movie, most of the idols and actors that went to see it went straight to their Twitter accounts to tweet "That was SO scary" which in turn made the public anticipate the film even more.
2AM's Seulong said "WHITE was very enjoyable. It's a scary movie, but it's still fun at the same time to watch" with that, he even added "I was seated beside MissA's Min, and her screaming was even scarier than the film!"
MissA's Min commented that "People have to watch this film! It's going to be your must-do for the summer!". MissA's Suzy said that "It was really, really scary! It's great for the summer... But you probably shouldn't watch it alone".
T-ara's Hyomin commented that "Eunjung-unni's never been shown this way. I'm still scared,". Park Gyuri of KARA said that the film was "fun and scary" and that "everyone should watch it. I live alone, and that scares me..."
