4minute’s HyunA confirmed for ‘Dancing with the Stars’

4minute’s HyunA has been confirmed for MBC’s new reality show, “Dancing with the Stars“.

The announcement was made on May 20th, and the idol is now waiting for her first recording. She will be joining actor Kim Young Chul, model Jessica Gomes, weather-caster Park Eun Ji, professionalbaduk player Lee Seul Ah, actress Kim Gyuri, singer Kim Jang Hoon, singer Moon Hee Jun, vocalist Kim Dong Gyu, marathoner Lee Bong Joo, and announcer Oh Sang Jin as part of the 11-member cast.

Each person will be paired with a dance specialist to compete in a dance competition. The MCs for the show will be actor Lee Duk Hwa and model Lee Sora.

“Dancing with the Stars” is scheduled to broadcast its first episode on June 10th.

T-ara’s Jiyeon to cameo in “Ripley”

T-ara’s Jiyeon will be making a cameo appearance on MBC’s new drama, “Ripley“!

In the pilot episode, Jiyeon will be playing the role of the Japanese prime minister’s daughter, ‘Yuu’, who suddenly disappears at the hotel that Kim Seung Woo’s character owns. Lee Da Hae eventually finds her and returns her to the prime minister, which in turn helps raise her own status.

Filming recently took place at a subway station in Seoul and a hotel in Namsan.

Because a lot of scenes had to be shot in a short period of time, filming went late into the night, which reportedly did not bother the young star at all.

Producers said, “Despite her busy schedule, she readily agreed to make a cameo appearance for our drama. Her character is important in that she opens up a new life for Lee Da Hae.”

T-ara's Jiyeon makes a surprise appearance in the new MBC TV drama, "Miss Ripley"

Jiyeon plays the role of the Japanese prime minister's daughter in the drama who is staying at the hotel where Jang Myunghyun is a general manager and suddenly disappears.

Jiyeon was said to have brought a bright and lively personality to the shoot in a downtown Seoul hotel.

A representative said, "Jiyeon has a very tight schedule, but despite that she was able to appear. Because the role that Jiyeon received is the pivotal figure in opening a new life to Lee Dahae, it is important in the development of the drama. Jiyeon also wants to become more skillful and improve the quality of her acting by becoming more natural so it is a good opportunity for her," they said.

"Miss Ripley" is about two very different men who fall in love with a woman whose life is a complicated web of lies. It will begin airing on November 30th.

4minute’s Sohyun once dropped out of a girl group because of anti-fans

4minute’s maknae Kwon Sohyun stunned the public when she revealed that she originally debuted with an young girl group called ‘Orange‘.

Orange originally debuted back in 2005, and was comprised of grade school girls.

While guesting on Mnet’s music talk show, ‘Beatles Code’, Sohyun confessed that she entered the music industry when she was in 5th grade, at the age of 12.

Unfortunately, she gave up halfway because of the pain she experienced due to harsh criticisms.

She said, “I tried not to become a singer. Since it was a primary school girl group, the envy and jealousy of my classmates peaked. There was even an internet anti-cafe, so I was very hurt by that. I couldn’t get along with my classmates except for my closest friends, and I’ve also been made an outcast before.”

Continuing, she then explained how she got into 4minute. “(After ending activities as a singer) I saw one of my seniors in middle school debut as a singer. At that time, she and I were compared a lot, and my heart hurt greatly because she was being thought of as this person who was just starting out with great potential, and I was this failure. Because of this, I started going around to auditions.”

KARA’s Hara sleeps with somebody special in her bed!

On May 19th, KARA’s Hara uploaded the picture through her Twitter, tweeting, “Today I slept in with Pang”.

With her face still a little swollen from just waking up, Hara made a cute pose while hugging her puppy,Pang. Even next to a tiny, cute puppy, Hara was able to show off her superior cuteness – melting the hearts of male fans everywhere.

Besides the usual stages, there were comebacks for B2ST and Jewelry, while Heo Young Saengand Superstar K2’s Kim Ji Soo debuted as solo artists. Elsewhere, CNBLUE and U-Kiss said goodbye.

It was a battle between last week’s winner f(x), SISTAR19, and Jay Park for the #1 spot on M! Countdown today, and in the end, it was f(x) who clinched their triple crown.

4Minute's Sohyun experienced cyber bullying while in the girl group Orange

4minute's maknae Kwon Sohyun opens up about her beginnings as a part of the girl group Orange.

On the cable channel Mnet's "Beatle's Code" recording Kwon Sohyun confesses the difficult times she had when she was in Orange.

Orange was a group, composed of 3 elementary school girls, made 6 years ago in 2005. Kwon Sohyun first debuted into this industry as a member of that group when she was 12 years old and in the 5th grade.

"At that time, I didn't want to be a singer. Because it was an elementary school girl group, everyone who was the same age was very jealous," Sohyun recalls. "Because there was so much cyber bullying and many anti cafes forming, I was very hurt. There was also a time in school when I became a loner."

"When I went to middle school, I watched as an unni from my school debuted as a singer. After that, the unni and I were compared so much that I felt very hurt. After that, I started going to auditions again."

Kwon Sohyun's full, heartbreaking story will be revealed on the 19th.

Hara "I call 4 yeaar older Lee Min Ho ajusshi"

Girl group Kara member Goo Ha-ra spoke about her friendship with Lee Min-ho.

In the SBS TV program "Strong Heart", Goo Ha-ra recently took place and spoke about her acting along with Lee Min-ho and her first attempt at acting in "City Hunter".

She said, "I am enjoying my time with Lee Min-ho and Park Min-yeong. I call Lee Min-ho 'uncle' as he is 4 years older than me" and made everyone wonder. She then spoke about how she came to call him that and how she first met him through Kim Hyun-joong during the drama "Boys over Flowers". She also talked about the situation when the group Kara went through a phase called the 'Kara split-up'.
