Super Junior follows up with “SPY” on ‘Music Bank’!

The talented guys of Super Junior have returned to the stage on ‘Music Bank‘ to deliver an amazing stage of their follow-up song titled “SPY“!

This time around, the boys decided to take on a suave 007-themed track and concept that the boys have perfectly pulled off. Sporting a sleek set of suits, Super Junior wowed fans yet again with their fun and unique choreography, which perfectly matches the catchy tune. (I got you little runaway!)

T-ara scandal taking a toll on recent dramas

After the biggest scandal of the year, several members of T-ara have continued their individual activities appearing on dramas garnering much interest from the public.

First, Soyeon starred in KBS2 ‘Haewoondae Lovers‘ as Jo Yuh Jung‘s younger sister, Lee Gwan Soon. However, Soyeon could not attend the press conference which was held on August 1st.

In contrast, Hyomin has announced that she is to attend her press conference for MBC fantasy sitcom, ‘Thousandth Man‘ this coming 14th at the MBC Dream Center in Kyungkido.

This press conference is receiving much attention as it will be the first time for a member of T-ara to come out in the public after the scandal.

Following Seoyeon and Hyomin, Eunjung will be making her appearance on SBS ‘Five Fingers‘ which will air on the 18th. And unlike Soyeon and Hyomin who were cast as supporting characters, Eunjung was cast as the main role. Eunjung will be the second to appear in front of the public through a press conference on August 16th.

Meanwhile netizens are still strongly requesting for T-ara members to be dropped out of the drama(s). Whether or not the bullying incidents were true, netizens continue to state that they do not want to see the drama that features those who were involved in such controversy. Earlier, netizens were furious to see that T-ara members were not edited out on a recent episode of MBC ‘Quiz to change the world’and KBS ‘Crisis Escape NO.1‘.

Hyomin to attend press conference for ‘The Thousandth Man’

T-ara‘s Hyomin will be making her first public appearance after the controversy through the production press conference for her upcoming drama.

The singer is scheduled to attend the press conference for MBC‘s fantasy sitcom ‘The Thousandth Man‘ at the MBC Dream Center in Ilsan on August 14th.

Other attendees include Kang Ye Won, Lee Chun Hee, Jun Mi Sun, Seo Kyung Suk, Park Jung Hak, and INFINITE‘s Woohyun. However, things could change last minute for MBC revealed, “The attendance list may chance depending on the filming schedule.”

Hyomin’s attendance, in particular, is attracting attention as the public is curious to know whether she will be speaking about the bullying rumors surrounding T-ara and former member Hwayoung.

‘The Thousandth Man’ is a fantasy sitcom about a gumiho (nine tailed fox) who must eat the livers of 1,000 men in order to become a true human being. Hyomin, who plays the role of the gumiho, has finished consuming 999 livers before she chances upon a man she truly falls in love with, but must still work to obtain his liver to live.

The drama will begin airing on August 17th.

Viewers criticize T-ara’s appearance on ‘Crisis Escape No.1′

T-ara once again came under fire for appearing on an entertainment show despite their recent controversy.

T-ara’s Jiyeon and Eunjung appeared on the August 6th broadcast of KBS 2TV‘s ‘Crisis Escape No.1‘.

Immediately following the broadcast, a viewers’ online bulletin board was filled with complaints in regards to T-ara’s appearance.

Some angry viewers posted comments such as, “It was uncomfortable to watch the episode that didn’t edit out the celebrities in the middle of a controversy,” “I was watching with my children but I changed the channel because T-ara came on,” and “Are you underestimating the viewers?”

On the other hand, some viewers commented, “I think the viewers are being too harsh when there is no real proof about bullying,” and “I think it was hard for them to edit it because they had already filmed it a while ago.”

Meanwhile, T-ara was also criticized for not being edited out on the August 4th episode of MBC‘s ‘Quiz to Change the World‘.

Netizens choose T-ara as the “girl group with the strongest determination”

The latest survey run by DC Inside has brought about a comedic turn of events with their results.

From July 31st to August 7th, online community board DC Inside ran a survey asking netizens to choose “the female idol group that has the strongest determination”. With their recent tweets about “determination”,  T-ara came in first with a whopping 11,858 votes out of the total 14,798 cast, putting them at an 80.1% lead.

DC Inside gave background on the girls by explaining, “T-ara debuted in 2009 with ‘Lies’ and has been earning much love from the public through their various activities in music, entertainment, and acting. Recently, however, rumors of discord within the group surfaced through their Twitter interactions and has led to the group to experience some hard times.”

Girls’ Generation followed in second with 860 votes (5.8%), and KARA in third with 369 votes (2.5%). Behind them included the Wonder Girls, 2NE1, and SISTAR.

Sulli gets embroiled in a bathroom action scene with Mighty Mouth’s Sangchu in ‘To the Beautiful You’

For her new SBS drama, ‘To the Beautiful You‘, f(x)‘s Sulli will be taking on an action scene in the bathroom against Mighty Mouth‘s Sangchu, who will be making a cameo appearance.

The plot follows Sulli’s journey at an all male high school to meet high jump gold medalist ‘Kang Taejun’. Each day brings about more and more surprises as she fights to survive as the only female student in the school, and her biggest problem yet arises when she’s called to a bathroom to face off against Sangchu, who will make a special cameo as a chiseled muscle man.

The reason for the face off is because Sulli accidentally pulled down Sangchu’s pants while blindly trying to grab for something to catch her fall. Angered, he calls her out for an action scene fans won’t want to miss!

At the actual recording, Sulli was said to have been shy and slightly embarrassed about filming in a men’s bathroom, which made everyone on set chuckle.

‘To The Beautiful You’ releases fourth teaser

New SBS drama ‘To The Beautiful You‘ is already drawing major attention ahead of it’s first episode, and a new teaser has recently been released to add to the growing anticipation.

Judging from the 30-second clip which teases with a possible kiss between Minho and Sulli, it looks like the new series will definitely exceed viewer’s expectations.

KARA releases album jacket photo for 'PANDORA"

Countdown to the release of the KARA’s long-awaited comeback has begun and the girls unveiled the album jacket photo for upcoming 5th mini album ‘PANDORA’.

In the photo posted on the group’s official website, KARA members displayed yet another transformation, showing off their matured charms. Shedding off their cute and cheerful charms from previous single “STEP”, the ladies showcase sophistication and elegance with classy black and white dresses.

The new album will contain a total of five tracks and will be released on August 22nd. The title track “Pandora” was produced by composers Han Jae Ho & Kim Seung Soo, along with Sweetune who have produced several hits for KARA in the past.

Hyomin to make first public appearance after controversy

As the T-ara controversy slowly settled down, Hyomin will finally be making her first public appearance next week.

Hyomin is set to attend the production press conference for her upcoming MBC’s fantasy sitcom, “The Thousandth Man”. She will be joining other casts at the MBC Dream Center in Ilsan on August 14th.

Other attendees include Kang Ye Won, Lee Chun Hee, Jun Mi Sun, Seo Kyung Suk, Park Jung Hak, and INFINITE’s Woohyun. MBC stated, “Depending on the cast members’ schedules, some cast members may not be able to attend.”

Hyomin’s first appearance since the controversy is attracting attention as many are curious if the T-ara member will address or mention the incident during the event.

“The Thousandth Man”, set to air on August 17, tells the story of a nine-tailed fox that must feed on 999 livers from men in order to become a human. Played by Hyomin, the nine-tailed fox struggles to find the 1,000th liver, which has to come from the man she truly loves.

Super Junior to start promotions for "Spy"

Super Junior will be starting off on a new set of promotions with their latest single!

Starting on August 9th on Mnet’s ‘M! Countdown’, Super Junior will be holding their first follow-up performance for its new single “Spy”. The single is the group’s new title track from the repackaged version of ‘Sexy, Free & Single’, which was released on August 5th.

“Spy” is an urban dance song that will remind fans of a James Bond film. Following the success of “Sexy, Free & Single”, which won a triple crown on ‘M! Countdown’, the new track is expected to entertain music fans with more charismatic performances.

In the 300th episode special of ‘M! Countdown’ that aired on August 2nd, Super Junior already performed a preview performance of “Spy”. For this week’s episode, fans will be able to enjoy the full song.

KARA's new mini album to be titled "Pandora"

KARA has revealed the title of their upcoming fifth mini album.

According to the girls’ agency DSP Media, KARA’s 5th mini album has been confirmed to be “Pandora”. The album will contain a total of five tracks, including the title track with the same name.

The title track “Pandora” was produced by composers Han Jae Ho & Kim Seung Soo, along with Sweetune who have produced several hits for KARA in the past.

Pandora is the first woman that was created by the gods, and KARA will be reinterpreting the myth with their own colors to be the most beautiful and attractive woman of the present age.

And like Pandora’s Box with big secrets held inside it, KARA will tease music fans with their mysterious charms.
